Holiday Home in Praia Del Rey, Silver Coast- Superb Location Close to Beach and Club House

Built in traditional Portuguese village architecture it is just a few steps from one of the 32.5 metre shared heated (April – October) pools with separate toddlers / children's pool. There are 2 large terraces, one covered for out door dining and BBQs, and one with privacy and all day sun. This house is tastefully furnished in a contemporary style and equipped with Satellite TV, DVD and CD players. 10 minutes drive away is the beautiful Obidos Lagoon and Baleal beaches for superb surfing and good swimming. Praia Del Rey is located within 15 minutes of the magnificent medieval walled town of Obidos, steeped in history and an essential visit for cultural and dining experiences! In addition, Caldas da Rainha with it's daily market and the fishing village of Peniche with it's many fish restaurants are a short drive from the resort. There is an aqua park at Peniche (10 min drive) and the go karting at Portugal’s biggest track in Bombarral (20 min drive) is a real thrill.

Why Linda Perriton chose Praia D'el Rey

Its very comfortable and has everything you require and has sunshine all day long with a great garden over looking one of the best gold courses in Portugal. It is a private area within the gated development, but is just 100 yards from a great swimming pool. Lots of things to do around the area within 20 minutes by car, Beautiful natural area to enjoy a great holiday.

What makes this house unique

The sun sets on the beach with a glass of wine are to die for! The property has alot of light and the weather is a good heat in the summer, so kids can enjoy the pools among their new friends.

The older teenagers can enjoy the night life at the club house and the beach bars in Baleal.

We love the beaches in the area as well as the sporting activities that mean people come back from their holidays relaxed and happy.

Notes on accommodation: Our property is managed by English speaking personnel who will be available to assist you at any time during your stay. There is central heating, an open fire and de-humidifiers. Prices include gas and electricity, but where consumption is more than normal for the season, clients will be asked to pay the difference. A cot and baby chair is available on request. No smoking or pets in the townhouse please. A beach umbrella and beach chairs are also available. There are tennis rackets at the property for guests use. Outside: The townhouse is situated in an exclusive gated development which is great for children who can run freely around the grounds. French doors from the lounge lead onto the outside terrace with wooden dining table and 6 chairs, 2 loungers. In addition there is a large lawned area perfect for sunbathing and ball games. Ample parking is located at the front. The pool is just 100 yards away and surrounding area comprises beautifully tended gardens and lawned areas. Perfect for total relaxation! Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen, house and beach towels provided. Weekly laundry change and cleaning included in the price. The property is prepared before your arrival with a welcome pack of the essentials with our compliments.

Fantastic villa in great surroundings

The villa is really well equipped, with all the mod cons you would have in your own home ...and more. The layout and bedroom sizes are excellent and made for a really comfortable stay. The patio and garden area are private, facing the golf course, as a result you did not have people regularly walking past to get to their villas - this was a real bonus as most of the other properties seemed fairly exposed. Arranging our stay with the owner was trouble free and she was very helpful. The location of the resort is great and the local beaches and villages are great to explore. Overall a fantastic stay.

Portuguese Paradise!

A haven for couples or families who would like to book a quiet and relaxed holiday away in a lovely private complex only a 5 minute drive from the coastline. Accommodation was spotless and extremely comfortable. Superb restaurants nearby too. A golf course runs its way through the complex but you wouldn't know it was there apart from an occasional shout of 'fore'! This is the perfect retreat and I can't wait to return. Sooner rather than later!!

The local Praia Del Rey beach is just a 3 minute drive away and stretches for miles in both directions from the resort and is excellent for fine sand, sunbathing, walking and surfing. The beach also has a Italian restaurant / coffee shop Other beaches nearby, the calm waters, restaurants and beach cafes at Baleal are particularly popular. There is also a lagoon at Obidos for swimming, windsurfing or sailing.


Flights to Lisbon (approx 50 minutes drive via motorway nearly all the way). From all major airports. Flights to Porto (approx 2.5 hour drive) as well. Car hire recommended.

Further Details:

There is a local shop on the resort which caters for essentials. In Serra de'l Rey, the nearest town has a small supermarket with larger supermarkets a short drive away in Obidos and Peniche. Keep the kids entertained at Club Aventura (extra cost) which provides exciting activities to try such as body boarding and surfing, quad biking and paintball. The clubhouse also has an indoor games room. Younger guests can join in the fun at the Marriott Hotel kids club. Restaurant in golf club house is excellent (they also offer take-out), also 2 restaurants at the hotel. Traditional Portuguese restaurants in Obidos, Peniche, Caldas da Rainha. Cash machine at club house. Information pack sent out prior to travel which includes detailed directions, regional map and resort map.
