Located in Calahonda, only 20-30 minutes from Malaga Airport, this villa is a large 6 bedroom property, beautifully furnished and decorated to a high standard. It is spacious with 2 kitchens, 2 large living areas and 4 bathrooms. It is ideal for two families with children or for extended family groups. The lower floor can be used as a self contained apartment and in off peak periods this may be available to let separately as a 2 bedroom apartment. The villa is south facing and the 3 large terraces, balconies, garden and pool area provide plenty of outdoor space for relaxing and enjoying the great Spanish weather. Quiet location only 5 minutes drive to local amenities/shops and conveniently located for trips to the many beaches, golf courses and many other tourist attractions for the Costa del Sol. Many great beaches are within a 20 minute drive of the villa, such as Cabopino and Elvira and the fashionable port of Puerto Banus is only a short drive away.

About the Owner

I live in Nottingham, England. I have spent a lot of time developing the house and outside areas to make it a comfortable relaxing holiday home.

I developed the lower floor to create the extra accommodation (2 bedrooms, a bathroom and large spacious living/dining area) and this which can be used as a self contained apartment.

I have made sure the property is child friendly and well equipped for large groups.

Calahonda is an attractive well established urbanisation which is very conveniently situated on the Costa del Sol. Our property is only a short drive away from Malaga airport and it is a great location from which to visit all the attractions along the coast. The house is situated in a quiet residential area so it is a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. It also has the advantage of being very close to all the local amenities in Calahonda. The weather is of course a big attraction for holidaying in this area. We've had great weather at Easter and October as well as in the long summer period from May to the end of September.

Activity and Interests


The villa offers easy access to many beaches, the nearest are within 15 minutes drive, such as the beach at the port of Cabopino (which also has some good restaurants and bars). We also recommend the beach area at Elvira (20 minutes drive in the direction of Marbella) which we frequently visit.


Our villa is 20-30 minutes drive from Malaga airport on the new toll road (AP-7). The toll road is cheap (costing between 2 to 4 euros depending on the time of year), quiet and easy to drive. The villa is also easily accessible from the airport on the E340 coastal road. Our information pack will contain directions.

Cheap flights are available from all regional airports (airlines include EasyJet, BMi baby, Thomsonfly). Car hire essential. Local firm Helle Hollis is good with competitive rates.


Apart from the beaches, the villa is also well positioned for visiting the many other tourist attractions of the Costa del Sol: the water park and zoo at Fuengirola are only 20 minutes away by car; it is only a short drive (30 minutes) to the fashionable ports of Puerto Banus and Marbella, known for their shopping and great night life and the Selwo Wildlife Park is easily reached for a day out. Inland there are beautiful traditional Andalusian towns to visit, such as Mijas, Istan and Monda.

Calahonda is a well established urbanisation on the Costa del Sol, with many wide green avenues, attractive residential areas and limited new development. It is situated between Marbella and Fuengirola and is only a 20-30 minute drive from Malaga airport. Calahonda offers easy access to the many beaches, waters sports, golf courses and other tourist attractions of the Costa del Sol.

While the vast majority of Calahonda is devoted to villas and townhouses, there is also a golf course and three commercial centres with supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, bars and banks, providing every amenity required for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

There are a number of restaurants and bars you can walk to in 5 minutes. Next to the Miel y Nata restaurant there is also a small supermarket, only a 5 minute walk away.

The villa is within 5 minutes drive of the Los Olivos cafe (which we can recommend), supermarket and shopping area. The larger shopping/restaurant areas of El Zocco and at the Sitio de Calahonda entrance are also less than a 10 minute drive away.

The local tennis, squash and fitness centre at 'Club del Sol' is within 5 minutes drive of the villa. These facilities can be used on a pay and play basis.

The villa is strictly no smoking. No pets. 50% of the booking fee (in UK pounds or euros) is required as a deposit upon booking. The balance is due 8 weeks before arrival. A refundable breakages deposit of £500 or 600 euros is required when the balance of the booking fee is paid 8 weeks before arrival. This will be reimbursed after departure (subject to inspection by our local agent) by bank transfer to your account or by cheque (for £ sterling payments only) posted to your home address.

Changeover Day:
We try to be flexible where possible with the changeover day. Our arrival time is after 4pm to allow sufficient time for cleaning this large property. Please leave the property by 10am.

  • Notes on accommodation: The villa is fully air-conditioned (hot or cold) with simple to use handsets and wall controls. The villa is suitable for children. There is more than enough space for children to play inside and outside. Stair gates, a high chair and a cot are available if required. The balconies are high sided. However, for the safety of young children, each of the balcony doors is fitted with high bolts to enable parents to control access to balconies if required. For young children, access to the pool from the lower floor/terrace can also be restricted by locking the gate if required. The perimeter of the property is fully fenced or walled with locking gates providing a secure area for children to play in. Sorry but pets are not permitted. Sorry but we do not take bookings for hen or stag parties or for large groups of young adults. Our local agents are on hand to make sure everything goes smoothly during your stay. They have a 24 hour emergency helpline if you have any problems. Free WIFI. Outside: The villa is south facing. Each of the top floor bedrooms have access to a balcony and the bedroom 4 has doors onto a courtyard. The middle floor kitchen has double doors onto a large balcony with a lovely outside dining table and a large automated sun canopy. From the lower floor double doors open out onto the middle terrace. The outside areas can also be accessed from steps down from the entrance to the villa. On the middle terrace there is an outside dining table and chairs for 8. From here there are steps down to the lower terrace (which as a small lawned area) and steps up to the private pool on the upper terrace. The pool is fully maintained and chlorinated. The villa also has a well planted terraced sloping garden. From the balconies and terrace there are views of the garden, the steep sided natural valley and apartments beyond. We have sun loungers, 2 large parasols, and a BBQ is available for use by the pool area. Secure parking for 1 car and street parking outside. Utility Room: Each kitchen contains a washing machine, an ironing board and iron, clothes airers and general cleaning equipment. There is a vacuum cleaner. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels provided (excluding beach towels). Our local agents are on hand to ensure you enjoy your stay. Additional cleaning can be arranged with our agents (payable locally).
