About Enda Cunnane

I have worked and lived abroad for over 10 years and recently moved back to Ireland and I currently work for O2/Three in Ireland. My wife Aoife is a primary school teacher; we have three small childred aged 3, 5, 6 . Over the past few years, I have greatly enjoyed receiving enquiries and managing bookings from clients and receiving some great feedback on the apartment and the area. I try to ensure that I provide the personal and professional service level that holidaymakers are looking for and I firmly believe that the finish of this property is as high as you are likely to find anywhere around the lake. Why Enda Cunnane chose Argegno

I went to Argegno for the first time for the wedding of a close friend and I could not get over the tranquil beauty of the location. Lake Como is a special part of the world, there's nothing better than waking up in the morning, looking out of the window, and seeing that beautful and tranquil lake. It's also a calming place for people of all ages....and there is plenty to do whether you're 2 years old or 80 years old. My wife and have always wanted a second home that we could use for ourself and our growing family, nicely furnished, with a lake view and swimming pool, convenient access to restaurants and bakeries and a village. Fortunately, an opportunity arose to buy the apartment and we were delighted to purchase the property as it is an area that we will happily visit again and again.

What makes this apartment unique

We know what we are getting when we visit Argegno as it has all the things we looked for when we searched to buy a property. We normally fly into Milan and it takes approx 1.15 hrs to drive to the property from the airport. The biggest benefit of the property is its location; just 2 mins walk to the village and lake ferry. It has secure underground parking and a private swimming pool. The apartment also has a lovely private garden which is ideal for enjoying the view, barbecuing and chilling. The small restaurant on Isola Island is my own personal favourite place to visit nearby - serves an 8 course menu and features photos of famous visitors including Jennifer Anniston and Henry Kissinger. There are also many restaurants and plenty good ones in Argegno – Villa Belvedere is my favourite restaurant in the village

Fantastic spot

We were delighted with our Stay in Endas apartment. It is ideally located in the most perfect town. The apartment is a short walk from Piazza and Argegno is an idyllic little town. Argegno offers bars, restaurants, shops and the best ice cream store. The apartment was great 7 well equipped. The pool is private sun trap and we took full advantage!

Fantastic apartment, great location.

What a great apartment in a super location, only a few minutes walk from the centre of the village. Key features for us were that it was a modern well fitted out apartment, ( with washing machine - essential after a week travelling around Europe!) secure gated access, a secure underground garage (huge) and access to a communal swimming pool, we didn't see another person there! The owner was a joy to deal with and provided all the necessary directions and instructions to make our stay a real pleasure.

Fantastic modern and spacious apartment with views

Fantastic ground floor apartment with two good sized double rooms. Really good facilities and a lovely small garden with views to the town and lake. Excellent pool which was a real bonus and although unseated was a perfect temperature in early June. The apartment is perfectly located with a 5 minute walk into the town centre and plaza. The owner's communication was exceptional and everything was in place for our arrival. A great stay and we would go back to the same place again without hesitation.

Lovely Apartment in Beautiful Location

My family of five recently had a very enjoyable stay in Argegno. The apartment offers fabulous views over the lake and is modern, clean and well equipped. The town is a short (max. 5 min) walk away and has a selection of excellent restaurants. We found it to be the ideal base from which to explore the towns and villages dotted around Lake Como using the very efficient ferry service; Bellagio was our favourite and is a must-see. Our three children (all under 12) were big fans of the apartment's swimming pool while the small garden fronting the accommodation is a great place to sit out in the late afternoon and evening to relax. There is a secure underground parking garage for anyone who has a hire car, as we did. We are very happy to recommend this apartment to anyone thinking of visiting the area.

Great location with easy access to Lake Como sites

Nice property withing walking distance of Argegno village town center. Easy access to Lake Como ferry and centrally located for day trips up and down the lake. My wife and I stayed with our two grown children for a couple of nights, unit was just the right size and well equipped. The underground parking garage was a bonus since parking in the Lake Como area can be a challenge. We arrived in the evening, would recommend getting good directions to the unit if not familiar with the area.

Location

Coast/Beach:

Apartment is just 300 metres from the lake shore and beach. Easy access with only a two minute walk from the restaurants and bars in Argegno.

Travel:

Milan Airport Malpensa 60 mins. Milan Airport Linate 1.15 hour. Milan Airport Bergamo 1 hour 25 mins. All airports have rail links to Milan. Trains run frequently to Como town from Milan with regular bus service to Argegno Car hire recommended as there is so much to see.

Distances:

Monza 40 mins. Como town 20 mins. Laglio (home village of George Clooney) 5 mins drive. Lake Lugano and Switzerland are only 30 mins away with fantastic mountain drives.

Further Details:

Argegno is a quaint provincial Lake Como fishing village, which manages to retain its charm, whilst providing an ever-increasing number of tourist services. There are several bars and a choice of excellent restaurants offering anything from simple pizza and lake fish to mouth-watering steaks and a fantastic wine cellar. It is also great access point to all other parts of the lake, being a main ferry point and bus location. Local bank in village with 2 cash machines (Bancomat). Cable car to Pigra (mountain village) from Argegno with amazing lake views. Lake Lugano and Switzerland are only 30 mins away with fantastic mountain drives and the entire lake is available to you with the fantastic ferry services (fast, slow and car ferries).
