Apartment in Lagos, Patio Do Convento short Walk to Marina & Town Centre

This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom raised ground floor apartment with two balconies facing the pool in central Lagos within 5 mins walk of the marina, promenade bus station and train station and town centre with it's shops, restaurants, coffee shops and bars. The apartment comes with one underground car parking bay. It is perfect for a family holiday in the Algarve with it's many beaches and attractions, not to mention great food and wine. Lagos is a historic town retaining the old charm and character and only 50 min from Faro Airport. The apartment is fully furnished and comes with all the amenities to include 2 terraces (one with in-built BBQ) overlooking the shared private pool. . It is within 15 min walk of Meia Praia Beach. If you enjoy golf you can attend the many golf courses nearby, the closest of which, is the challenging course at Boa Vista (5 min drive). For those without a car, it is 2 min away from the central bus station and 5 min walk to the train station. Lagos and surrounding areas has everything for the perfect family holiday.

Fantastic property in a great area close to all amenities. The apartment is spacious, spotlessly clean and very well equipped.The pool and facilities were excellent. Great surprise to have British TV programmes and WiFi in the apartment, we cannot praise and recommend this property enough.Thank you to the owners and Maria for everything, it was perfect.

This 2 bed 2 bathroom apartment is immaculate Very spacious, probably too much as there were only the two of us. It is in an ideal location near to town and a short walk over to the marina. There is a lot to do around here, various restaurants and bars on the doorstep. Swimming pool was fab and most of the time we had it to ourselves for most of the morning. The owners and Maria could not do enough for you. Would definitely book this again. Thanks for a fab holiday. Cheers

Excellent! Great appartment - fantastic location.

This is a very high quality holiday apartment. Well finished and ideal for families to explore Lagos and the Algarve. Aircon throughout, nice pool, close to both the Marina and the old town full of bars and eateries. it is finished to a much higher standard that normal holiday properties.

Neysan, Maria and Yacine are all very helpful and will do everything possible to ensure you have a great stay. We greatly enjoyed our time in Patio Do Covento and have no hesitation in recommending highly.

Great apartment with good location.

This apartment suited our family perfect!

Two bedroom and two bathrooms was perfect for us that have two teenagers.

We liked the location of the apartment. You can walk to everything, beach, supermarket, shopping and of course to all of the nice restaurants in central Lagos.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Faro Airport at 91 Kilometres Nearest Train : lagos train station at 1 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : A22 at 8 Kilometres Nearest Beach : mae da praia at 2 Kilometres Car: not necessary


Lagos has a number of wonderful beaches. The main one is Meia Praia and is a 5 min drive away or 15 min walk. There is also Batata Beach and Praia Dona Ana which are a short drive away. There is also Praia De Luz which is a 10 min drive and the wonderful Salema which is a 20 min drive. For those wishing to surf, you can also visit Sagres with its beaches (30 min drive). You also have the Porto De Mos beach which is a 10 min drive. We are aware of about 16 beaches near Lagos!


The apartment is about 50 mins from Faro Airport. Lisbon Airport is about 2 hours 30 mins away. Car hire is available at both airports and is recommended. The main bus station is about a 2 min walk from the apartment and if you wish to travel by train, the station is about a 5 min walk. We would however recommend you hire a car so that you can visit the many wonderful places nearby.


Lagos is perfectly located for you to visit the surrounding areas. Sagres and it's historic fort is a 30 min drive. You can visit the old fishing villages along the coast, west towards Cape St. Vincent. You can drive inland for a nostalgic glimpse of the rural past. Barao Sao Joao is the largest village.

Further Details:

The apartment is within 5 mins walk of two supermarkets. The old town centre is also 5 mins walk. There you can find local shops and restaurants. There are many coffee shops selling wonderful Portuguese pastries. The town centre is full of wonderful restaurants with many providing the Portuguese speciality, seafood and grilled meats. There are also abundant number of bars. There are also a large number of banks with cash machines. Lagos has a famous fish market and it is worth seeing. There is also a long promenade which is wonderful for all the family. There is bridge from the promenade which crosses over the inlet and leads you to the marina with its shops, restaurants and bars. There are many outdoor activities for everyone. They include deep sea fishing, surfing, Dolphin watching, water ski, kite surfing, windsurfing,para sailing, sailing and golf. There are also 2 water parks (25min drive) at Lagoa Aqualand at Alcantailha. There is Zoo marine near Guia which is a great ocean theme park and shall provide great entertainment and education for children and adults. The shows and exhibitions feature Dolphins, Seals, Sharks etc. Further afield near Quarteira there is the Aquashow water park which has a huge aquatic roller coaster and water slides. Lagos Zoo is also nearby and located at Barao Sao Joao (north west of Lagos). Alternatively you can go on a cycling or walking tour of the beautiful Serra De Monchique. If you are minded you can also go Scuba-Diving or snorkeling.

  • Notes on accommodation: This is an ideal apartment for a family with a shared private pool and children's play area. The central location means that you are very close to the historic town centre of Lagos. The apartment has been finished to high standards and comes with air-conditioning (and heating if needed) in all the living areas. You have a designated and secure parking area with access to the apartment via a lift. We do not allow any smoking in the apartment, but you are welcome to smoke on the terraces only (please). Children will enjoy the play area and the pool and there are many local attractions for the whole family to include dolphin watching. Outside: The apartment benefits from two separate private terraces. The first can be accessed via the living room or the kitchen and has a in-built BBQ. It has a table and 4 chairs and it overlooks the pool area. It also has two sun chairs. The second terrace can be accessed via the master bedroom only and it too overlooks the pool area. There is a large shared private communal pool with surrounding landscape gardens and children's play area.We understand that there is a communal gymnasium which has yet to be finished. The pool area benefits from sun all the day. Utility Room: Iron, Ironing Board, Hair dryer, Vacume Cleaner Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Clean linen and towels are included. Linen is changed once a week and there is a midweek towel change. Cleaning of the apartment is also provided once a week. Other: There is a medium size utility cupboard for storage in the kitchen. There are also two terraces overlooking the pool area (with table and chairs including sun chairs).
