Ian Clift -All five of us had a really wonderful holiday. Our boys thought it was one of the best apartment they had stayed in and made many new friends around the excellent pool. We found there were a number of excellent restaurants with Rosalinds and Bayside being our favourites. We also cooked a number of light meals in the apartment and found the kitchen was well equipped and really did not lack anything and the dishwasher made light work of any dishes!

Anna Reid - We had a fantastic time at Roda, the apartment was very modern and comfortable. The complex is very well maintained and quiet, we quite often had the swimming pool to ourselves! We will definitely be visiting Roda again next year.

Bernie Spalding -We found the apartment ideal for our stay, it was clean, suitably equipped for all our needs and with plenty of space for 7 golfers and golf clubs. With the discount on the golf we managed to save over 400 Euros for the week. Would recommend your apt for golfers and families.

Perfect Holiday Home

  • 5 of 5

This charming Roda property is perfectly situated for any type of holiday, from the idyllic to the adventurous. The owner offers ample information on the full spectrum of options, all of which we sampled.

We enjoyed the tranquility of the home's roof-top solarium, which offers gorgeous views of the mountains and Mar Menor and is equipped for sun bathing and grilling. A semi-private pool offers respite from the sun or a round of golf at the well-manicured community course.

Rent a car or hire readily available taxi & shuttle services for anything you might need in nearby Los Alcazares, including dining and groceries, such as Consum or Lidl.

We felt adventurous and rented a car at nearby San Javier Airport. We drove to Santiago de la Ribera and enjoyed a 5 km walk along Mar Menor to the mud baths just beyond Lo Pagan, finishing the day with delicious lobster paella at Restaurante Bellavista after our return walk.

We also enjoyed full days in La Union & Portman, Cartagena, and El Portus. We enjoyed a foot tour of the mountainside mining museum during siesta (schedule a guided tour if desired) in La Union and capped our day with a swim in Mar Mediterraneo in Portman. Cartagena offers a wealth of options, including the Naval Museum or a handful of 2,000 year-old Roman ruins. Lastly, we enjoyed a quiet and relaxing day at the quaint beaches in the lonely city of El Portus.

Whatever your heart's desire, you can find it nearby this perfect holiday home in Roda.

Great stay, felt at home.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this apartment during Christmas 2015 and we really felt at home. Our initial conversations with the owner were very prompt and to the point.

In the apartment everything was functional and we especially liked all the towels and bed linen quality which was on a higher end. From solarium one can enjoy spectacular sunrise and sunset views. We didn’t use any of Roda club facilities so can’t comment. In nearby areas you can find a host of good restaurants at a reasonable price, please don’t miss Lapeora in Los Alcazares. Definitely we will be back.

Fantastic Family Appartment

  • 5 of 5

From start to finish this was a perfect holiday. The owners sent on very useful information in advance of our trip and all emails/queries were answered without delay. We were promptly met on arrival and given great local advice. The apartment is perfect (modern and spotless) for a family of six, with everything you could need, TV with good selection of English Channels and books, games etc. The views from the apartment are fantastic over the golf course and the resort is very relaxed and quiet complex. The pool is perfect for the family and just 60 seconds from the front door. Club house is very relaxing for a coffee or a drink on the way home. A car would be recommended but if you like cycling this is the place as the area is flat. Plenty to do in surrounding areas with the nicest beaches I have been on with warm waters. Loads of restaurants to choose from in Los Alcázares and Cartagena is a nice day out. All in all its a perfect apartment to have a perfect holiday, thank you.

Beautiful apartment - Excellent stay.

  • 5 of 5

We have recently returned from this fabulous apartment after an amazing 10 days holiday. On arrival we were met promptly and given all the info we needed. The apartment itself has everything possible for a great time - even down to the cool box which we often used for the beach and pool. The layout is spot on - the rooftop terrace is like a secret haven (often sat up there looking at the stars). Everything was clean and spotless. Would say if you plan to leave the complex then would need a car. The local square in Los Alcazares has plenty of great restaurants - we particulary liked Hemingways (beautiful food). Another great restaurant is L'Encarnacion in the old town. Going the other way towards Oasis is the Arches - great for breakfast. Had a great time at La Zona(min golf) doing the Pub Quiz. Groceries can be bought from the local Connsum. Further afield shopping is available in Dos Mares or Cartagena. A must is the mud baths at Po Pagan and a drive over to Cabo de Palos - lovely beach and restaurants. All in all a great time was had by all and would definitely recommend this apartment and definitely consider staying again when in that neck of the woods.

Fantastic Holiday Home!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying at this apartment on Roda Golf, not only top class accommodation but so spacious it was a pleasure to relax and lounge about in between some great days out, and time at the immaculate pool. The apartment feels more like a house than an apartment as with plenty space, choice of outdoor seating areas, it is beautifully furnished and all with wonderful open views. Locally we particularly enjoyed seeing flamingos on the salt flats which lead to what my children called the "epic" beach we revisited this beach many times. Cartagena was a wonderful proper Spanish experience with a real buzz and of course a cocktail/food on the roof terrace of the Roda Golf Club made for a great end to any day.

This was not our first visit and hope to be back yet again - highly recommended!

Activity and Interests

Only a five minute drive will bring you to the Mar Menor, a huge lagoon 26km long and 7km wide which is well known for its warm tranquil and salty water, rich in health giving minerals. As well as Los Alcazares beach, the Costa Calida, offers a number of blue flag rated beaches. The vast majority of them are sandy beaches but there are pebbled beaches and rocky alcoves for snorkelling. Why not try the famous mud baths for a health reviving treatment?

San Javier Airport, 10 minutes drive. Alicante Airport is 40 minute drive. A car is recommended to make the most of your holiday. Car, bike and motor bike hire are available in Los Alcazares. Transfers can be arranged from Murcia and Alicante Airports. With direct access to the N322 and the A-7 Los Alcazares is easily accessible. Also, there is local train station linking to major Spanish towns.

Los Alcazares is less then a 5 minute drive. Cartegana and Murcia are all around 20 minutes drive. There is also a railway station 5 minutes drive away which offers connections to Madrid and Barcelona if you would like to venture further afield.

Further Details:

The resort and is only a 5 min drive from the Mar Menor with its 7km of flat promenades, fabulous beaches and the centre of Los Alcazares. This is a typically Spanish town with many delightful restaurants, tapas bars, banking, supermarkets and shops. The area is extremely flat therefore cycling is an ideal way of slowing down and trying out some of the beaches and bars! There are many street markets. Mondays: San Pedro del Pinatar. Tuesdays: Los Alcazares Town Centre. Wednesdays: Santiago de La Ribera. Thursdays: San Javier. Fridays: Torrevieja. Saturdays: Los Narejos and Torre Pacheco. Sundays: Cabo de Palos. Why not explore the Mar Menor Islands? There are five uninhabitated islands in the Mar Menor. Isla del Baron (or Isla Mayor) and Isla Perdiguera are located near the centre of the lagoon and the other three Isla del Ciervo, Isla Rondella and Isla del Sujeto are grouped together near the southern end of the La Manga strip. Isla del Ciervo is connected to La Manga by a short causeway. Isla Perdiguera is a popular destination for boat excursions with bars and restaurants on its small harbour. Ferries run frequently from Los-Alcazares and other towns on the Mar Menor in the Summer. Fancy something different then why not try a mud bath. The water and the mud in the Mar Menor have a high concentration of minerals which has been found to carry healing powers for people suffering arthritis, rheumatism, tendinitis, and joint ailments, skin ailments, as well as enhancing blood flow around the body.
