Just a quick note to let you know that we had a fantastic stay at Sauveterre. We thought the accommodation was in a great location, well presented and your recommended days out were spot on. So thanks for making our 2010 holidays truly memorable - John and Michelle - Aug 10
"A lovely house in a lovely setting. An excellent place to relax, away from the crowds. The pool is fantastic and a major attraction to us as a family. Despite being secluded it is close to many activities and there is plenty to do within easy reach of the house. Parc en Ceil and Canoeing on the Dordogne are highly recommended for energetic children and great fun for the oldies too! It is rare for us as a family to go to the same place twice and 2011 will be our 3rd visit to the house in a row, which for me says it all. A great place, a great holiday and great fun.

This was my third visit to this glorious house. I cannot recommend it highly enough: excellent support before and during our stay from the owner, Gavin, with our every query answered. The house was entirely as described and clean and tidy upon our arrival.
I would particularly recommend the short walk/drive to the chateau at Bonaguil, as well as kayaking nearby. When we just wanted to stay at home, however, the pool and terrace provided a really nice setting in which to relax. Lovely big garden as well. Have recommended this to my friends.
I stayed in La Charniere and had the most relaxing and wonderful time. The house was well equipped and spotlessly clean, the local area is stunning and you can really switch off and relax. There are three good restaurants down at the Chateau Bonaguil and Fumel, the nearest town, has all you need. The sound of the birds in the morning and the stars in the clear sky at night all add to the magic of this place. I am coming back!
