If you want spacious high specification accommodation in the heart of St Lucia then this might be what you need - whether you want to sail, scuba dive, trek through the rain forests, or simply spend time around the beach and the bars the heart of Rodney Bay this is the place to be. Ground Floor: The spacious open-plan ground floor comprises kitchen, dining room, living room (TV/DVD/iPodDoc) and open air patio plus a well equipped kitchen and laundry room. French doors lead onto a waterfront patio. The view from the patio is of the Rodney Bay Marina with its beautiful array of luxury yachts and sailboats. Bedrooms are on the first and second floors and this is the only house with an additional mezzanine floor. The villa has its own jetty on to The Harbour (great for late night fishing). Gardens are fully landscaped with lush tropical foliage and an outdoor swimming pool . There are cable TV/DVD & iPOD docs in each bedroom, WiFi and A/C on all floors. Maid service: Monday - Friday 9am - 1pm.

About Yvonne Rowland

We are Peter & Yvonne from the UK. No 17 The Harbour is our 2nd home and we love both our house and the island of St Lucia. We have lovingly furnished and equipped our house to a high standard as we want it to feel like home from home for both ourselves and any guests. We have received some great comments from guests and have a number of returning guests. We have three grown up children who also love the house and particularly like the fact that everything in Rodney Bay is within easy walking distance and that there is a great selection of bars, shops, cafes and restaurants.

Why Yvonne Rowland chose Rodney Bay

We have sailed in the Caribbean for many years and of all the islands decided that St Lucia was the most perfect. It is green, volcanic, stunning scenery, full of history and a great sailing destination. The people are also some of the most friendly we have come across in the Caribbean and the choice of restaurants and bars is brilliant.

We chose Rodney Bay as we wanted a property with a private dock for our boat. We also wanted to buy from a reputable builder. We have not been disappointed with either the house or the location - in fact every time we go we like it more!!

What makes this house unique

The house is set behind secure electric gates giving beautiful tranquility overlooking the Harbour but is still in the centre of the resort so has great access to all amenities. The house is convenient for walking to the supermarket, shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, beach plus taxis are readily available if you want to explore further afield. Hire cars are also available close by but are generally unnecessary. Water Taxis will come to the dock in front of the house making transfer to the Marina, Pigeon Island, The Landings etc very easy. There are only 25 houses/apartments on the complex and often many are unoccupied so the pool and gardens are quiet.

Notes on accommodation: Your visit will be supported by our local agent who can help you arrange whatever you want (car hire, golf, sunset cruises, day trips, sailing, fishing, diving, airport transfers, cook, babysitter, etc). The agent is on call to provide you with local information and advice. The housekeeper service is 9am - 1pm (Monday to Friday). Cot and High Chair hire available on request. Fantastic location

The property is all you could ask for in a property rental it is in a great location in Rodney bay everything is at your finger tips and at the same time you have the quitenes and serenity of overlooking the harbour as well.

The beach is about a 10 min walk away passing various bars and restaurants along the way so plenty of places to stop for a drink or a bite to eat.

The swimming pool at the complex is not in view of the house and does not be suitable for smaller children .

The perfect holiday for adults in my opinion .

Special mention to Esther the house keeper nothing was to much trouble for her to do and everyone who was involved in making our stay

Beautiful property in a fantastic location

The house is amazing and although set in the heart of town, it is in a private, gated compound and therefore very quiet. The back of the house looks out onto a garden and then straight onto the water, meaning amazing access for boats and paddleboards.

Esther the housekeeper was wonderful, always looking after the house (and us) and giving us local tips and insights.

A fantastic stay in a really special place.

Wonderful property!

Such an amazing place!

Great Location, in a quiet harbour with beautiful views from the gardens and balconies but moments from the restaurants and amenities of Rodney bay.

The House its self is huge and beautiful. It has 3 huge ensuite bedrooms and is tastefully decorated throughout. There is a lot of space and its a very relaxing place to be.

Booking was easy and Yvonne was so helpful. We were greeted by the lovely Esther who couldn't have been more helpful during our holiday.

Everything was better than described and I would highly recommend this property. We would love to go back!

A fantastic villa!

What a fantastic place! Me and my partner have used this as our holiday villa for three holidays now and each time has been just as great as the last! The villa is situated in the perfect location - in a quiet, gated community, but also just a two minute walk (if that!) to all the best bars, restaurants and entertainment St Lucia has to offer. Or if you are looking for a more relaxing holiday, one of the best beaches on the island is just a five minute walk away! The villa itself is extremely spacious, all of the rooms are very tastefully decorated - it is pure luxury. And, to make it even better, as you relax in the evening you are able to watch the gorgeous sunset from the comfort of your bedroom balcony. I would highly recommend this villa to any holiday go-er, whether you are a couple looking for a quiet retreat to the Caribbean, or if you have children and are looking for a fun filled, adventurous holiday; this is the place to be.

Beautiful Villa, Excellent Location, 5 Star!!!

My family and I (6 adults from England) stayed at 17 The Harbour in June 2015 for 11 days and this is a 5 star villa in a perfect location in St Lucia and I would recommend this property to everyone!!! When we arrived we were greeted by Esther (the maid who kept the house immaculate throughout our stay) who had prepared a beautiful creole chicken meal for us to eat later as we had spent 12 hours travelling from London. The ground floor is open plan, kitchen, dining area, sitting area/TV room and then out on to an open patio with table and chairs with fantastic view over the harbour and moored yachts. The 3 bedrooms are huge and tastefully furnished, all en suite and the two main ones with balconies over looking the harbour. The villa is perfectly situated right in the centre of Rodney Bay but within a secure gated environment. There is a small pool in the complex which was fine for us as the complex was quiet but it may get crowded in high season. 2 large grocery stores (similar to small Asda/Tesco etc) 2 minute walk away in the malls had all the food/drinks for any self catering you want to do. A 10 minute walk to Reduit Beach with plenty of bars and restaurants in the immediate area. Spinnakers (on the beach) is a fantastic place to sit and watch the sun go down, food and drinks great - happy hour 2 4 1 cocktails 17.00 -18.00 and two other restaurants of note are Razmataz (Indian) and Buzz (Local style). Although June is deemed to be the 'low' season there was still plenty to do and the beach was never crowded (apart from when a cruise ship had come in for the day at Castries and then beach was a lot busier so no idea what it would be like in 'high' season). Don't be scared to haggle with the beach vendors for everything, sun beds, chairs, souveniers etc, it is expected!!. In June the weather is still very hot, some rain overnight was refreshing but during day sunshine and light cloud - typical tropical weather. Sea lovely and warm, plenty of tropical fish to see (especially near rocks at either end of the beach when snorkelling) and great to sea large starfish on sea bed. Day trips that are a must are the Catamaran day cruise to Soufriere and the botanical gardens, mud baths etc( we used Sunlink Cruises booked with St Lucia Reps) and for the more energetic a walk up Gros Piton. My children and their partners all in their early 20s and very fit, did this walk and they said it was hard going but well worth the views from the top!!

Exceeds expectations, great facility & location!!!

This is a high quality unit which is exceptionally well furnished and equipped. We've rented on other islands and have always been pleased, but this one was clearly a step above the rest, it is truly "fully equipped" and done with quality. Everything was very well organized, the unit is super clean and the complex & grounds are well maintained.

The pictures give it justice except that the unit is actually much bigger than it looks on the internet. All 3 bedrooms are very spacious, each with a very nice ensuite and the beds are very comfortable.

Location is unbelievable, literally a few minutes walk to two shopping malls and two major grocery stores; and a leisurely 10 minute walk to Reduit beach at Spinnakers (beach bar), there are probably close to 20 restaurants within walking distance. Everything you need is close, very convenient ! One of the couples in our group had rented a vehicle, they returned it early as they just didn't need it.

The owners and their agent are very helpful and easy to deal with, everything went very smoothly, great service and the housekeeper Marcella is an absolute gem !

We strongly recommend and would (likely will) return, stop looking this is the place to be !

The island is 238sq (616sqkm), 27 miles long, 14 miles wide with a combination of high mountains, forests, low lying lands and beaches. A central mountain range runs the length of the island, with peaks ranging between 1000 and 3145 feet. Forests dominate the mountains, while jasmine, scarlet chenille and wild orchids provide splashes of colour to the lush green slopes. The two towering volcanic cones on the SW coast, Gros Piton (797m) and Petit Piton (750m) are one of the Caribbean’s most famous landmarks. The famous Reduit Beach is pure paradise; soft golden sand facing West into the calm, warm Caribbean Sea usually offering its gentle sea breeze. The sunset's are stunning and the water is warm all year round. The island is a treasure trove of beautiful and unspoilt beaches and coves - explore by land and/or sea. There’s also lots to do if you’re the adventurous type. You can explore on foot, by mountain/quad bike, or even on horseback. Taxis, hire cars and day trips are all readily available.


There are 2 airports. The smaller domestic airport is about 15 mins by car. The international airport is in the south of the island and about 1 hour 20 mins by car, the drive is quiet, scenic and and provides a breathtaking introduction to the island. Alternatively helicopter transfers are available. Time difference, GMT -4 hours. BA & Virgin both operate direct flights from the UK. There is no need for a hire car when staying at the villa unless you want to explore further a field.


The villa is just off the main road parallel to the beach. The shops and supermarkets are within 200 yards and the bars and restaurants are along the main road. The beach is a 10 minute walk away. The Marina with its bars and restaurants is 5 mins by either land or water taxi. Rodney Bay has a wide choice of bars and restaurants with live music and plenty going on. Pigeon Island is 10/15 mins by land/water taxi. The capital, Castries is about 15/20 minutes by car/taxi depending on traffic.

Further Details:

The yacht marina on the other side of the Harbour has a cluster of shops, cafes, bars and a bank (with ATM). It is easy to hire a quality car (although not necessary as all local amenities are within walking distance) - a temporary driving licence is obtained from the police station. Water Taxis can be arranged to pick you up from the Villa to take you to the famous Pigeon Island heritage resort and beach. The Villa is no-smoking indoors however ash trays are provided for use on the patio/garden.
