Apartment in Lorgues, Var, Provence, France - Set Amongst The Provencal Vineyards

Our apartment is stylishly decorated and furnished and well equipped. The view from the Juliet balcony is overlooking the beautiful newly renovated Place Neuve, the surrounding village and vineyards beyond. We are situated within a moments walk of the village centre which boasts numerous fine restaurants and bars as well as shops for every day needs. The apartment comes complete with all bedlinen and towels included in the rental charge. There is a TV set as well as a CD player and DVD and lots of DVD's to view. Lorgues is perfect for visiting both the coast which is some 35 minutes away by car and the spectacular Gorges De Verdon about 45 minutes by car through stunning Provencal scenery.

Living in Manchester, my husband an I bought Le Lorica in 2003.

We had friends in France that we visited regularly and eventually decided to buy there.

We both work freelance and try and get to our apartment in between jobs. We had made many friends in the village over the years.

Why Kath Davies chose Draguignan region

We had travelled in the area on previous occassions and loved the unique position of Lorgues with its easy access to many areas of beauty, both coast and country.

Since then we have had many wonderful and memorable holidays there. We hire a car and love to drive through miles and miles of vineyards.

Every year there are new events and places to discover and wines to taste!

What makes this apartment unique

Although Le Lorica is in the medieval village of Lorgues, it was rebuilt new in 2003 from a provencal house to 22 apartments, keeping the character of the older properties. A lift takes you to the third floor.

It is situated in the perfect position in Place Neuve, which was renovated in 2009. Now a quiet square yet with only a 2 minutes walk to the shops, car park and restaurants. Very convenient!

The nearest beaches are Frejus and St Maxime and are approximately thirty five minutes by car.

St Maxime is more of a direct route with nice shops and restaurants whilst Frejus has a soft sandy beach, easy parking, beach facilities and The Port with restaurants and boats.


Nearest airports are Nice (1 hour) and Marseille (1 hour 15 mins). A car is recommended. Alamo/Eurocar/sky cars are good hire company's.

Notes on accommodation: The apartment is not suitable for guests with pets. Heating is not included in the price in the colder months. An extra charge is made for towels and linen for a 3rd person. Outside: The apartment overlooks Place Neuve in Lorgues and has a view of the vineyards. The Palais De Justice is situated in Place Neuve. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment comes complete with all bedlinen and towels for two people sharing. These are changed weekly. The apartment is cleaned weekly and this is also inclusive in the rental price.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is usually Saturday although we are flexible.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds or the equivilent in euros at the time of booking.
All prices are inclusive of bedlinen, towels for two persons and cleaning. For more than 2 people an extra cost of £10.00 per week per person is charged for towels and linen. Electricity costs not included in the colder months.
