Platine is a spacious, 82 square metre, second (top) floor apartment, located less than 200m of flat walking from the ski lifts, slopes and village centre. It is furnished to a high standard and has wi fi, phone and tv. It is exceptionally light and airy and has stunning views over the village to the mountains. It sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms, or 8 if 2 people sleep in the sitting room. There is an option to have the apartment on a semi catered basis, please enquire for details.

The large living room has ample comfortable seating for eight both around the dining table and on the sofas and armchairs in the sitting area. The kitchen is well equipped with hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is a washing/drying machine.

There are three bedrooms, one double, one twin and a further twin which has an ensuite wash and shower room. There is a seperate bathroom and two w.c's. The en suite twin bedroom can also take a child's bed or cot. The sofas in the sitting room make two very comfortable beds if needed.

A basement car parking space is provided with a ski locker and boot area.

The pistes are 200m away, from where the two ski lifts take you to Courchevel 1850 or to the mountains above 1850, both giving access to the superb skiing above Courchevel and into the Three Valleys.

Couchevel Le Praz is the old village within the Courchevel complex of villages and has plenty of "character". It has great restaurants and bars and a good selection of shops including an excellent butcher, delicatessen, baker and a supermarket.

All Courchevel villages are accessible by the free bus. In January 2016, a new aquatic centre opened between Courchevel Village and Moriond providing swimming pools and a health spa.

We are delighted that so many of our guests choose to return.

We are private family owners living in Sussex. The apartment is looked after locally by professional individuals. This will be the 9th year we have been letting the property during the winter season.

We bought the apartment after looking at a number of ski resorts. For us, the combination of the fantastic Three Valley ski area, and the village atmosphere of Couchevel Le Praz attracted us to trying to find a property there. We visited Chalet Platine after it had been refurbished and was empty. The spaciousness of it relative to so many French properties, the closeness to the ski lifts and piste and the great views accross the rooftops to the mountains, sold it to us immediately.

Activity and Interests

Travel:

By car- about 600 miles from Calais- all motoway / dual carriageway except last 12miles!

By train, by day or overnight to Moutiers, which is 20 minutes away by taxi, or 30 minutes by bus. (Overnight travel allows 8 days skiing).

By air via Geneva 2.25 hours away, Lyon 2 hours, Grenoble 2 1/2 hours, Chambery 1.25 hours, by car.

Refundable Damage Deposit £300
Stay tax 0.99% per night, per person. This amount will be due to the owner upon arrival. Does not apply to children under 13 years.

Booking Notes:
Please check availability by e mail or phone.
Deposit of 20% required with booking- balance 6 weeks before start of holiday together with a security deposit of £300, which is returnable within 2 weeks provided booking conditions have been met.

Changeover Day:
Saturday changeover. We ask guests to leave by 10 am and not arrive before 5pm. However, if arriving earlier, for instance by train, please phone as arrangements may be able to be made to enable you to ski on the Saturdays at each end of the week.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds for up to 6 people. Please enquire for prices for 7 or 8 people. Tourist tax will be added to the final invoice, currently around 1 euro per person per night.
