Why Stuart Gibson chose Jávea

Very simply, we fell instantly in love with the sense of calm beauty of this Villa and its location.

We wanted it to be a place where our whole family could enjoy each others company in a comfortable, stress free, happy place in the sun - and so over the years we have spent a lot of time and energy to make that happen.

And it works! Our family, and the many guests we have had over the years, always love the peacefulness that comes from being in a comforting place - and always return to the UK really refreshed and ready to do battle once again.

What makes this villa unique

Very little is truly unique in this world - but what we have tried to achieve is a place to have an old fashioned, family oriented, holiday home. Where there is time and space to have fun, relax, talk, sleep, play - all well away from the constant stress of modern life. Of course, every now and then its great to go out and explore - and havng some fantastic beaches, shops, restaurants and towns/cities close by is a great benefit.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We all really enjoyed our stay at the villa, it was absolutely lovely and we will book again in the future. A few of the positives were: Maureen was really friendly and helpful and the villa was cleaned well; The outdoor kitchen was great; Pool was a good size; Villa was spacious with lots of private areas.

The accommodation was very suitable for our party with three families. Each family had enough space and privacy; The villa was situated well with access to some good restaurants by foot.

Thank you again. We really enjoyed our stay. Despite the storms! The villa was really lovely and I am sure we will be back!

Fabulous villa with amazing views!

  • 5 of 5

We arrived late afternoon and was met by Maureen who showed us around the very large villa. Everything was as described and was clean and tidy and the décor was Spanish style. The views were absolutely amazing - as its surrounded by mountains - and being high up - it wasn't overlooked either. We set about sorting out bedrooms - and because we were a mixed family group - everyone had different needs. My mum is 88 and not so good on her feet - so she had one of the twin bedrooms at pool level which had an ensuite as well. This worked out fine for her as there was only a couple of steps up to the outdoor kitchen that she had to use. My husband and I ended up on the very top floor - which had a private roof terrace - but no bathroom - which was a bit of a pain having to go down to the next floor - and share with someone else - but not the end of the world! The outdoor kitchen was amazing - and that's were we spent most of our time! It was a great size and very well equipped - which we equipped even more - with a fully stocked cocktail bar!! There is a built in charcoal BBQ but while we were there - the local council put a ban on charcoal BBQ's in case of a forest fire (like the year before which was apparently quite bad). so that was a disappointment - as that's a big attraction for a large group on holiday. However, we contacted Maureen and Alan (who manage the villa) and they were most helpful and said they would contact the owner about a solution. So the owner (Stuart) rang us to work something out - which turned out to be a paella gas ring - with a griddle to put over it - which worked out fine but was a pain to clean!!

The villa and grounds were very spacious so there was always somewhere quiet to go and sit and get away from the rest of your party if need be!! The gardens were really beautiful - and very well kept.

The pool was great with plenty of sunbeds, umbrellas and shady places to sit. The only downside was the mosquitos - we were bitten alive!! Take plenty of mozzy spray!

Although we loved just chilling around the villa - we did venture out once or twice! We went to a local restaurant called El Groucho - which was really lovely with great service and very tasty food - well worth a visit. We also went into Javea town and Denia and had lovely meals out there.

All in all we would fully recommend this villa and it is ideal for a large family or friends group.

Great value family holiday

  • 5 of 5

The villa, its gardens and the amazing views exceeded our expectations. We were a family of 12 adults and 5 children and there was plenty of space and seating for us and an incredible supply of cutlery and crockery - 2 dishwashers helped make life easy! It was very hot during our stay (35C most days) so we chose to remain at the villa most of the time, enjoying the large swimming pool by day and into the evenings plus the large shaded areas and comfortable seating. The family were not too impressed with the Water Park at Benidorm but loved the inflatable fun park in the sea near Javea port. We had a good value meal at Scallops (but best avoid the vegetable curry). Thank you Maureen for our welcome and thank you Stuart for offering such good value accommodation.

A wonderful, relaxing stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful relaxing stay, set in a great location with stunning views! I was so pleasantly surprised at the size of the villa and how many people it can cater for. All the rooms were so well equipped with beautiful, well looked after garden/pool space. The main supermarket, beach and town is nearby which we visited often. The promenade by the beach had wonderful restaurants, cafes and shops and we loved walking around the towns local market. It has something for everyone and we would love to stay again!

Really nice Villa, great location.

  • 5 of 5

We picked this Villa because we had a large family group and we needed a big Villa to accommodate us all (17 in our group). Pleased to say that we chose well, the Villa was big enough for us all to eat together, but also enough space for different groups to do whatever they felt like and not be on top of each other. The views of the Valley and Montgo mountain were quite impressive, and we were all quite surprised at how peaceful it was. The cleaners gardener and pool cleaner were all very efficient and we hardly noticed them, but it was good to know the pool was being kept in good condition as we spent a lot of time in and around it. Best of all was the outside kitchen – when we weren’t eating out we did a lot of cooking in the outside kitchen which was well equipped and very big – definitely a hit with our group. The Villa manager was helpful, and gave us a few tips for places to see and eat. For us, it was a good place for our family holiday – I know there are more luxurious Villas available, but we liked the way this was well set up for families.
