Elegantly furnished 3 bed house next to Sandy Lane Golf Course, St James, Barbados, Caribbean. Short Walk To Holetown

The Falls is a luxury secure community situated next to Sandy Lane and is within 10 minutes walking distance to Holetown. The 20 properties share a clubhouse, well equipped gym and swimming pool with loungers . There is also a manned gate lodge with 24 hour security and concierge service. Shopping is nearby in Holetown and a wide range of restaurants are a short drive away. Guests have free beach club access at the newly refurbished Beach House where there is a large pool, direct beach access and a bar / restaurant. Number 14 is maintained to a high standard and elegantly furnished in a comfortable contemporary style. Downstairs there are ceiling fans in all rooms and air conditioned bedrooms. The rear of the house is extremely quiet and peaceful as it backs on to a protected gully where fireflies can be seen at night and hummingbirds and native green monkeys often visit during the day. A lovely cool patio area at the rear leads to a small private garden which allows guests to eat outside or to sit and watch the monkeys swing through the palm trees. The townhouse has an open plan living / dining area with large wall mounted plasma screen TV and multi region DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a Nespresso machine, blender, microwave and full oven and hob. There are two barbeques on the patio, both gas and charcoal. Upstairs the three bedrooms all have en-suite bathrooms. The house rental includes all linens and beach towels are also provided. It is also possible to rent this house in conjunction with others on the development to accommodate larger groups.

We are a professional couple who bought the house as a second home for our family, friends and ourselves to enjoy as a holiday home. We love the island as do our daughters and we also have a 4 year old granddaughter who is getting very used to island life!!

Why kerry wood chose Sandy Lane

Our relationship with Barbados goes back a long way, it was our honeymoon destination (long time ago now,,,) and whilst the island has seen many changes, for us it retains such a relaxing atmosphere that we never get tired of being there. We have tried to create this aura of relaxation in the house and we think of guests as friends in our home. Indeed the majority of our guests are repeat bookings and we have a number who have been staying with us for quite a few years.

What makes this house unique

The house is furnished in a style that is personal to us and we hope you like it. We have tried to incorporate pale Caribbean colors with individual pieces like the shell mirrors made by me! The patio at the rear of the property looks over a gully that is quiet and cool. Its our happy place for a coffee in the morning and a G&T (or two) in the evening. Its a great place to see the monkeys swinging in the trees, the hummingbirds on the flowers and at night the fireflies can put in an appearance. Feedback from our guests always features the relaxing atmosphere, the close proximity to all the amenities and the fact that the house is so well maintained.

Outside: Patio doors at the rear lead onto a patio / seating area with comfortable armchairs and a small breakfast table that seats 4. There is a gas BBQ -to save you having to cook indoors if you find it too hot. There is also a charcoal BBQ for those who prefer the traditional method. The shared pool has sunloungers, umbrellas and a shaded terrace area. Utility Room: The utility room also opens into the covered parking area and contains a washing machine, a dryer, iron and ironing board plus large sink Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels are included and a full housekeeping service is included in the price once per week. Further house-keeping is available by arrangement with the housekeeper at a small additional cost. Other: The pool area and gymnasium are shared facilities located directly outside the house. There is a TV in the clubhouse with some sports channels that show live premier league matches. (very important to my Husband!)

Beautiful property in an amazing location.

The Falls property is set in the grounds of the luxurious Sandy Lane estate and is perfectly located next door to the famous 'Old 9' golf course. The house is immaculate, very peaceful and all the essentials...including a coffee machine! I really enjoyed being able to sit on the patio watching the monkeys run past and listening to the wildlife.

The accomodation is located within walking distance of the best beaches and restaurants in Barbados. As this was my first time in Barbados the guide to the island left by the owners was very useful, as it pointed out all the hotspots the island has to offer.

I will be returning to Barbados next year and could not think of a better base from which I can enjoy the island all over again!

Stunning property

we had a brilliant holiday and we were so glad to be staying in this house.

It is beautifully furnished and very clean and has everything you could possibly need including a nespresso machine. Perfectly located as it is easily walkable to Holetown.

Great Place

Lovely property, beautifully furnished in a great safe location. Upstairs bedrooms are delightful - light and spacious.

The Beach House pool is a wonderful place to chill, swim and have a cocktail at the end of the day.

Would recommend staying at this property.

Wonderful stay in well-located house

This property is really well-located; a 30 minute drive from the airport and close to Holetown with all of its amenities. The house is beautifully maintained and has everything you may want during your stay including a full kitchen if you decide you don't want to eat out every night - I'll be honest and say we didn't use it very much. Each of the bedrooms is light and airy and the patio area was great for breakfast or a few well-earned cocktails during the evening.

I would highly recommend this house if you're looking to spend time in Barbados.

Perfect holiday staying in a perfect Villa

This Villa is a home from home, every detail to make your stay comfortable has been thought of. The villa is very roomy, very comfortable well proportioned and perfectly located.

The famous Sandy Lane beach is easily accessed within a few minutes walk or a short 10 minute drive takes you to the facilities of Mullins Beach. Paynes bay is also very close by.


Barbados is easy to get round and hiring a car is recommended to get the most from your holiday. It is possible to get round using the very reasonable and plentiful taxi services. To get to The Falls via a taxi from Grantley Adams airport will cost approx $70-80 bbds. We can help by recommending car hire / Taxi services if required. Also concierge services at the Falls will be happy to help.


Holetown is just over half a mile away as is the popular 'Tides' restaurant. Sandy Lane hotel lies adjacent to the property and is within easy walking distance. Further shopping is available at Speightstown -about 8km north and Bridgetown is approx 15km south.

Further Details:

A selection of shops, banks and a well stocked supermarket Dining in Barbados is varied- from the more expensive such as Daphnes, The Cliff, Il Tempio, the Lone Star (my fave) to med price - The Fishpot just north of Speightstown and the brilliant Cariba (well worth a vist) to the less upmarket but often good value restaurants such as Zacchios and Surfside. Holetown contains a variety of restaurants/ bars and has a surprisingly good nightlife for teenagers!
