Ski Apartment in Bansko Royal Towers, Bansko, Pirin Mountains, Bulgaria - Fantastic Location, Just 150 yards from the Gondola

Location is key to any successful ski holiday and you can't get much closer to the gondola than the Bansko Royal Towers. The modern, very spacious (72m2) one bedroom apartment is tastefully furnished to a very high standard and is equipped with everything you need to make your holiday a comfortable stay. The large private balcony gives you breathtaking views of the Pirin mountains and extensive ski runs. You can ski from the top of the mountain all the way back to the footbridge outside the apartment - practically door to door skiing! - then leave your skis at the Rossignol ski shop below the apartment and enjoy some apres ski in the Happy End bar situated next to the Gondola. There is a free to use fully equipped gym with sauna and steam room and heated indoor pool. There are several shops within the development incl. a bank with ATM, mini market, Rossignol ski hire shop. The on-site facilities and price, make this an ideal, exceptional value ski holiday.

We live in York, England and have 3 children - Oliver aged 13, Amelia aged 17 and Will aged 21. We love skiing and after visiting Bansko a few years ago we decided that it was such a lovely family ski resort that we would like to buy an apartment there. We usually manage to ski in Bansko at least once a season as it's such a safe, friendly experience without the hassle and excessive cost associated with other European resorts. We also love to visit Bankso in the summer when we go mountain biking and make use of the lovely outdoor pool.

Why Sue Hannon chose Sofia area

We chose to buy a property in Bansko after visiting the resort a few years ago and falling in love with it. We soon realised that this resort was moving very fast into becoming one of the best ski resorts in Europe. It offered value for money whilst providing excellent brand new modern lift facilities and well designed and managed pistes. The Bulgarians are investing heavily year after year in making Bansko an excellent family ski resort. We also loved the contrast between the modern ski area and the very quaint old town of Bansko with its cobbled streets and churches, you really feel like you are stepping back in time when you take the short walk to the town square.

What makes this apartment unique

The Bansko Royal Towers was our first choice of apartments to buy primarily due to its great location to the ski slopes. You can practically ski door to door. With all the other facilities that the complex offers we feel it makes for a fantastic holiday. We also enjoy the short walk into the old town of Bansko and eating at one of the many Mehanas, prices in Bansko are very reasonable and we feel there is no better value holiday in any other of Europe's ski resorts. Every year there are more and more quality bars and restaurants set up and the majority are within a 5 minute walk of the apartment.

Notes on accommodation: The apartment is very well positioned overlooking the gondola station and ski runs with fantastic mountain views. It is serviced by a lift and is suitable for children. Smoking and pets are not permitted. Outside: Guests have free use of all the facilities on the complex which include large heated indoor pool, Jacuzzi pool, 12 person whirlpool, two saunas, steam room, well equipped gym with new spinning bikes, running machines and a weights machine, spa club with relaxation zone offering a range of treatments and massages, heated outdoor pool for summer use, communal gardens and children's play area. The complex has its own restaurant and bar. Rossignol ski hire shop, bank with ATM and a mini market for groceries and drinks. There is a creche situated in the large shopping mall next door to the Bankso Royal Towers. The shopping mall includes shops selling, clothes, Jewelery,ski wear, supermarket, homewear, there is even a cocktail bar and restaurant on the top floor with lovely views over Bansko town and the mountains. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen included. Property cleaned before the arrival of each guest and on departure. For all two week stays there is an optional mid stay clean and linen/towel change for a small fee. Other: Very spacious entrance hall with plenty of storage, mirror and coat hooks, and double doors opening into open plan kitchen/lounge creating a very light and modern area. There is also a boot/ski room for further storage. Table & chairs on the balcony.

Overall a lovely place to stay, if I could add anything it would be nice to have a drying room for the gear rather than trying to hang or position wet gear near to the heaters without causing a fire hazard. But we coped and it did not spoil anything. Thank you for the opportunity and would gladly stay there again and may well do.

Really nice apartment, ideally situated for the gondola, ski rental, restaurants and supermarket.

We have just returned from Bansko and stayed in this apartment. This is our third trip to Bansko and have stayed in various apartments in Bansko Royal Towers and this is one of the nicest we have seen.

Really good sized and well equipped apartment in an excellent location. Restaurants, supermarkets, ski rental and gondola all very close.

Would highly recommend it.

Superb apartment

We are a family of 4 from York and stayed here over Xmas 2016. The apartment is spacious, warm, comfortable and has everything you need to enjoy the stay. It's really close to the gondola and some amazing bars and restaurants. Definitely returning to Bsnsko and hopefully this apartment if it's free!

very confortable and well furnished, good position for skiing and restaurants .

good place for skiing and to go to the restaurant,the apartment is very confortable , only the TV is bot connected to oversea station, and an oven and dishwasher would have been nice to do some real cooking.

The only problem, i had has nothing to do with the apartment is the queue on the gondola in the morning, on the Sunday 3hrs, monday 2 hrs then it was 1 hr every morning ....that is a long time standing up in the outside paying 58 lv !!!!!.

We will ask our agent to see if they can re-tune the TV and we will look at providing an oven - although we do generally find that most of out guests enjoy eating out as its so cheap! As far as the queues - these are out of our control and dependant upon time of year booked - as at any popular ski resort. Thanks and hope to see you next year.

Great location, large and we'll equipped.

This is one of the best apartments I have stayed in for skiing in Bansko. Located very close to the Gondola and with a ski hire shop just below. From leaving the apartment it takes 10 minutes to collect our boots and skis and arrive at the Gondola. So nice not having to drive and park. Natasha from Barrow was very helpful, showed us around and helped us park the car in the car park. Supermarket and small shop just a few minutes walk. Will stay again.

Spacious accommodation close to the gondola

Good contact with the owner prior to departure and then with agent in resort. Spacious property suitable for family of 4. Perfect location close to gondola and good bars/restaurants. Plenty of hot water for showers and the property is very warm without the need for much heating. Access to the pool, sauna etc was a good addition. Twin beds in the bedroom made into a double. Could do with some fitted sheets as the flat sheets tended to come away from mattress. (the only adverse observation). Overall a good stay and would use again/recommend.
