About the property

Old charming townhouse, 20 meters from the beach in old center of Collioure - balconies with great views - house protected by authorities

Feel the atmosphere of the old medieval village Collioure and enjoy the sun and crystal clear water at the beach right outside your door! Several balconies with great views including sea view, mountainview and Chateaux Royale. House is 400 years old but modern inside. Cars not allowed in this special area (car park 200m away). Try the famous Catalan kitchen and the local wine in the small restaurants in the narrow streets, check the art galleries, drink a cup of coffee at the harbour overlooking the painted fishing boats and the bay. About Nanna

We are a family of 6 living in the countryside in Denmark. We love France, the French culture and history, and the pleasent climate. We enjoy a lot walking and bicycling in the Pyrenees behind Collioure.

Nanna purchased this apartment in 2007

Why Nanna chose Collioure

We found the house in 2007 and fell completely in love with it! Since we also thought the position was perfect, in the most picturesque part of Collioure, with the beach for an early morning swim just around the corner and the views of the bay area, old castle and the Pyrenees from the balconies, we decided to buy it. The former owner was a painter and had his atelier in the bottom of the house. He and his wife helped us to find out how to rent it out to holidaymakers. We want the standard of the holiday property to be at a high level: the apartments must be thoroughly cleaned, and it is import to us that our guests are satisfied with their stay in our house.

Guestbook comments from the manager

‘We really enjoyed our stay and the apartment was wonderful. It was our 4th trip to Collioure and it was by far the best accommodation we had. The location was excellent and the apartment itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We would definitely love to return.’

‘The apartment was just perfect, great little balcony and lovely views. It was a very quiet area and I had a very comfortable stay, I can definitely recommend it!’

‘We had a very restful and enjoyable week in Collioure and found your apartment perfect for immersing ourselves in the atmosphere of the place. The weather was warm and sunny and the one we experienced was late one day and we had some splendid views of the flashes of lightning from the dining room balcony. Many thanks again.’

Beautiful house in the most charming area!

  • 5 of 5

I don't know where to start.. I have so much nice to say about this charming spot. I've stayed in the pink house many times with both friends and family and I keep coming back. The house which is always very clean is located in the most beautiful part of the old city where cars are not allowed. Small ateliers and colourful flowers and houses makes this part of the old town very picturesque. The two beaches are both less than half a minute away and so are all the delicious restaurants and the small French boutiques. The kitchen+dining area is very luxurious and decorated in a charming French style with a huge wooden table, furniture made of wrought iron and a nice gas cooker. You can enjoy your dinner or a cold glass of wine in the sun at the upper terrace which has space for 4 people around the table. From here you can see the sea. If you go even further up the stairs, the house has an attic with two high chairs underneath two huge windows so that you can sit almost on the roof and enjoy the view of the sea, the amazing castles and the town roofs. The house has a nice living room with French paintings covering the walls. We always lit some candle lights and use this area for board games late in the night. All the rooms are very bright because of the large windows and they all have their own small balconies. The place is very good for children as well as they can run safely between the beach, the ice cream shops and the house as they like without crossing any roads. The host, Nanna, is very sweet and will do anything do make your stay in the house comfortable. Always just ask her if you have any questions or requests. The only bad thing about this house is that you always have to book far in advantage because it is so popular.

Skøn ferie i Collioure

  • 5 of 5

Excellent apartment

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for one week in May and enjoyed every minute. This is a high quality apartment which is clean, tidy and very well equipped. There is plenty of room to accommodate six people as it on two floors. The views from the upper balcony are stunning and the location in the heart of Collioure is unbeatable. Only one slight negative - access to each floor is from a staircase which can also be accessed by whoever is in the ground floor apartment. The access doors can be locked but we kept them open to give access to the kitchen from the lower floor at night. Overall, this is an excellent apartment which I recommend.

Everything we had hoped for

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was everything we had hoped for. With two floors we had plenty of privacy and room to spread out. The d?cor reflected the area (local paintings) and the furniture and fittings were unobtrusive and exactly what we needed. Collioure really is as attractive as Nanna, the owner describes and we found plenty of information in the apartment to enable us to plan extra excursions. There are forts to climb to and castles to explore and we wandered further still using the one euro bus service available through all of this region. In September even the beaches weren't too crowded and with several to choose from one could always find a quieter or less windy spot. The streets of Collioure were very crowded though in the daytime, a reflection of what a charming little village it is, and maybe as New Zealanders we are just not so used to crowds. With the wide balcony on the top floor of this apartment however we were able to turn this to an advantage, sitting in the sun unobtrusively people (and dog) watching. I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family, there is a local Carrefour supermarket and fresh fish to be bought after a short walk to Port Vendres . I found the owner, Nanna very approachable.
