Welcome. We fell in love with Lanzarote some years ago and we love spending time there when we can. We are lucky enough to have 3 properties on the island, one (La Finca) we bought and furnished as our home and now holiday let it. They all offer a range of different styles of accommodation and we are very proud of them.

Well equipped, well situated villa

Our second holiday in this spacious and well equipped villa. There have been improvements since our previous stay notably wi-fi and air conditioning. The service from Emmanuel locally was excellent as nothing was too much trouble for him. Whilst a car is not a necessity, it does make it easier for shopping, eating and excursions. However there are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. We would not hesitate to recommend the property and will definitely return ourselves.

Lovely property but could do with an update. The property manager was excellent could not fault Paul. He was always at the end of the phone for us. We needed a new boiler while we were there as the old one blew all the electrics, this was completed within a couple of hours.

Pool needed cleaning when we arrived. This was cleaned as soon as we requested.

Location is good but I'd advise a car as everyone in the area was taking taxis. Carrying water back from the mini mart could feel like a marathon. Strong man would be needed.

One thing we thought needed rectifying asap the cooker and fridge are next to each other and my daughter burnt her hand opening the fridge while the cooker was on. I have sent an email to the owners concerning this but no reply on this was forthcoming.

This property is for 8, there is plenty of room but I originally booked for 4 and when I asked if 2 other family members could join us I was asked for additional funds. I thought this a little excessive but on reading the small print it does state if you have over 4 it's extra. Why state the villa is for 8, this extra should be more clearly stated.

However we did have a lovely time. Partly due to the quick responses of Paul the property manager. Thanks again Paul.

We found it in the draft folder this morning and have forwarded it to you. We really thought we had sent it, so please accept our apologies. Glad to hear you had a lovely stay and that our property managers helped in making it so. Thank you, we will pass your comments on. We are surprised that you feel that the villa needs updating. It has recently been painted throughout, is exceptionally well maintained by Paul and Emmanuel and everything is of a good standard. The only items that could have been improved upon during your stay were the sun loungers and we have just replaced the 4 of them that needed it. We are truly sorry that your daughter hurt herself. In the over 8 years we have been letting the property there has never been an accident like this and we are sorry that it has happened. We will look into ways we can improve the situation. Thank you for your patience. The boiler did go during your stay. There were no warning signs and it was resolved within hours. As you say, Paul and Emmanuel are wonderful and totally on the ball. It was a real surprise that the pool needed a clean upon your arrival. We pay a company to take care of it and have not had any problems before. Again, it is good to hear the Paul and Emmanuel resolved this immediately. On our advertising we say that a car is recommended but not essential. Many of our guests don't wish to hire a car and the property managers will leave additional water bottles in the villa, if these guests request it (in addition to the 8l bottle we include in the welcome pack). As regards the pricing structure for the villa, ours is a very standard and normal procedure. Stating that the villa caters for 8 allows guests to see the maximum party size we can cater for. As stated on all of our advertising, the prices are for up to 4 people, with an additional charge per person over that number. It would be very unusual to find a villa priced for the whole property, and it is likely to be priced for a full occupancy and thus to be more expensive if you were just 4 people staying. Great Location

We love this house it has become a home away from home for us and our go to place when we visit Lanzarote. My husband is disabled so the layout is ideal for him. The terrace works really well for us with both sun and shade and fabulous views. Everything we need is within a 10/20 minute walk. We don't need a car here and are well served by shops, restaurants and buses and lovely walks. We have always found everything we needed within the house. Paul and Emmanuel are a great support if you need anything and are really approachable. Booking with Sonia has always been made very easy and we can't wait to get back there!

Lovely relaxing villa

Playa Vista is a well equipped apartment with lovely ocean views. We enjoyed our family holiday and found Paul to be very helpful and accommodating. A car is definitely recommended for visiting the town and marina.

Great place for a relaxing holiday

Thank you for a truly lovely villa. The free wifi is a real bonus and the air conditioning was most welcomed. Each time we come we are reminded of the fantastic views – I don’t think there can be many villas available with these views, and so convenient for the beach. The standard of villa meets all our expectations. We have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Superb location, views and value

We don't usually write reviews but, ironically, like to see them before we book. Having seen just the one for this property, we decided we needed to write a review with our impressions because we nearly missed out on an absolute gem.

The location is, as stated, very convenient. We were delighted to find that there really is a beach no more than a couple of minutes walk from the property. It's not that sandy, so probably not an all day beach but is a perfect to place for a quick swim or, better still, to entertain children exploring rock pools and so close to the villa. A family sandy beach is also within walking distance, probably 20 mins or so.

We hired bikes (the owners kindly arranged this for us) as there is a traffic free promenade running along the seafront. For us, it brought the Harbour, town and a wider choice of restaurants within very easy reach - no need to drive ! It is also great for a stroll (or jog..).

As to the property itself, it is comfortable, spacious and equipped with everything you could reasonably want for a holiday. It is on two levels with the main accommodation on the upper floor so you get the magnificent sea views from the main bedroom, the lounge and dining area, the breakfast room and even the kitchen.

Outside on this floor there is a balcony that runs across the entire front of the building and widens out to a great little outdoor dining spot. There are awnings that shade you during the day and also keep the interior cool too.

Downstairs there is another terrace which is extremely private and has a good mix of sun and shade from the balcony above.

The pool area can be reached by stairs down from the upper balcony or steps up from the lower terrace. We noticed that the pool is noticeably longer than the other properties. It would easily accommodate larger parties or someone who wanted to exercise. The others looked a bit cramped in comparison.

We already mentioned the views and it is worth noting that this property probably has the best views of any on the site. Others can have properties directly in front of them or be set lower on the site with less commanding views. Our favourite thing was to sit on the balcony in the evening and look across the sea to Fuerteventura and see the lights start coming on and twinkling as the sun set.

Having stayed in many properties in Playa Blanca we think we have found a gem. The location, space and views are fabulous and, for the price, excellent value for money. We will be back.

Location

From the Owner

Standing on the balcony or next to the pool it is easy to see why we chose this villa - the location alone is hard to beat. It has panoramic views across to Fuerte Ventura, as well as being very close to the beach and restaurants. The villa itself is unusually spacious, something we found very appealing about the property. Not only is there a very big lounge/dining space, but the kitchen is large and the breakfast area a welcomed extra space. Additionally, the villa is on a generous size plot which, combined with the height of the property, create a feeling of space often lacking in developments in Playa Blanca.

Coast/Beach:

The beach, seafront and promenade are only a 2 minutes walk away. The promenade runs from the light house and right through Playa Blanca - ideal for a romantic meander or an energetic power walk.

Stroll towards town and you will find a collection of restaurants and bars - Argentinian, Italian, Greek to name but 3 - all just 15 minutes from the villa.

Flamingo Beach is 25 minutes walk from the villa, with further restaurants. Papagayo beaches are a 10 minute drive from the villa.

Travel:

Arrecife airport is a 40 minute drive away. Car hire is not essential, but recommended as it will enable you to explore the island and enjoy the many wonderful places of interest that the island of Lanzarote has to offer. We can arrange it for you.

Distances:

Beach 2 minutes walk away. Restaurants and bars overlooking the sea 15 minutes walk away. Grocery store and further restaurants 10 minutes walk. Playa Blanca town center 5 minutes drive. Playa Blanca Marina 7 minutes drive. Yaiza 15 minutes drive.

Further Details:

The villa is located in an ideal location give easy access to the beaches and sea front promenade.

Playa Blanca is a pleasant 30 minute walk or 5 minute drive. Also taxis and buses are both inexpensive and abundant.

In recent years Playa Blanca has grown from a traditional Canarian fishing village into a fashionable tourist resort and has still retained a great deal of its original character.

A promenade runs along the sea front and is lined with bars, restaurants and shops.

The amazing Papagayo beaches are only a 10 minute drive away, the beaches are famous throughout Spain for their unspoilt location, golden sands and aquamarine clear waters.

The unspoilt Canarian villages of Las Brenas, Yaiza, El Golfo and Femes are only a short drive away, as is the volcanic national park of Timanfya and the winelands of La Geria.

The pretty harbour of Playa Blanca is the departing point for many excursions including trips to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura, Los Lobos and those beautiful beaches of Papagayo.

Eating while looking at the fantastic view really creates that holiday feeling. Add to that the short stroll to the beach and the convenience of not having to get into the car to visit restaurants and bars, and it is the ideal spot for anyone looking for benefit of not getting into the car every day. I really think this is something not that many properties offer the combination of fantastic view, 2 minute walk to beach, short walk to restaurants and supermarkets, a feeling of space and large heated pool

  • Notes on accommodation: Playa Vista is a beautiful, architect designed two storey villa. While it is a holiday property, we also wanted it to feel like a home away from home. With this in mind, it has been tastefully decorated, as it would be if we lived there. Additionally, it is your holiday and you don't want to spend your time doing dishes, so it has all the mod cons you need. Children are welcome. Roman steps with hand rail down into the pool offer easy access. There is a wide shelf in the shallow end for young children (not toddlers). We had a line of blue tiles put in along the edge of the step so you can clearly see where it ends and the water gets deeper. There is a stair gate at the top of the stairs in the villa. There are DVDs, books, toys and games. Cots and highchairs can be provided. There is a hairdryer and lockable safe for your use. Outside: Upstairs the wide balcony looks out over the spectacular view, offering a 180 degree vista of the sea and the island of Fuerteventura, and over looks the superb private pool. It also provides plenty of space for outdoor eating and sun bathing. Beautiful rattan dining tables and chairs allow for comfortable outdoor eating beneath the two awnings for plenty of shade. There are 8 loungers for catching the perfect tan. The electrically heated pool is large (8m x 4m) and perfect for swimming all year round. Roman steps with a hand rail down into the pool offer easy access. There is a wide shelf in the shallow end for young children (not toddlers). We had a line of blue tiles put in along the edge of the step so you can clearly see where it ends and the water gets deeper. Downstairs there is a large, 100% private patio. It is perfect for private sunbathing, as well as outdoor eating, should you prefer it to the balcony. Utility Room: Washing machine is situated in the kitchen. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The following are included - linen, bath and beach towels, weekly clean, linen and bath towel change, twice weekly pool clean.
