Apartment on Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort, Offering a Secure, Family Friendly Environment, with Nearby Towns and Beaches to Explore

A super time at Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort begins with great accommodation. Situated only a couple of minutes walk from the Town Centre, with its Club House, Restaurant, Bar, Super Market and Golf Pro Shop.

This first floor family apartment (is located directly under our second floor apartment reference number 6517073 and is furnished identically) both stand apart from the rest by way of their interior décor which is to an exceptionally high standard and offers a luxury holiday for up to 6 persons (two on sofa-bed, cot available). Each bedroom can be configured to provide either a super king or 2, 3ft singles. The built in wardrobes in each bedroom also provide ample drawers and storage. There are ceiling fans and air-conditioning for the summer, and for a cosy feel, central heating with a constant supply of hot water. Extend your party onto the large terrace, fully furnished for al fresco dining. For those who prefer indoor evening entertainment there is a 32’ LCD TV/radio, DVD/CD and free WI-FI for those who wish to keep in touch with home.

Both apartments have views from the front balcony to the large Communal Swimming pool and on, to Holes 8 and 9, the Main Central Lake, down the rest of the fairway to the Mar Menor Sea beyond

From the rear of the apartments the bedrooms all with Juliet balcony's have unobstructed views across holes 1 & 2, the Orange Groves and on to the hills in the distance.

Four apartments owned by Lily's Dad, Grandma and Granddad. All are equipped and furnished identically to the same high standard, two for family use, and two for renters to enjoy.

'We loved the apartment and the golf course. The apartment was lovely we met loads of lovely families english and spanish and everyone made us feel very welcome. We have loads of email addresses and the kids have swopped msn addresses and everyone is asking if we will be back next year. We definately will be'



'just a note to say we really enjoyed our holiday and had a wonderfull time, our only regret is we should have stayed a bit longer. Next year we plan to do 2 weeks'

Really Good apartment on an amazing complex, could have been 5 star

We were really looking forward to our stay on this golf resort but we were a little let down by the apartment. Don't get me wrong the apartment is great and has everything you need, we just think a few things could have made the apartment and our holiday 5 star. We arrived very late on the first day, 1.30am, with 2 small children and a wife with a broken foot(I know sounds awful) . Unfortunately, there was no welcome pack found. Now I know you don't always get one but simply a bottle of water would have been great after a long journey and late arrival. We had a good nights sleep and the beds were really comfy and rooms dark. When I woke up, very dry and thirsty, I ran to the shop and got some bits for breakfast , before the kids woke up.

Upon further inspection of the apartment , we found that everything had been removed. No salt or pepper, coffee, sugar, filters etc. These are things we usually find in apartment we stay in. Anyway, the view to the pool is amazing and the balcony is great. There is even a small birds nest , which is so nice to see, watching the birds come in and out. We found the loungers and went down to the pool. The loungers could do with a replacement, they are very uncomfortable and one didn't stay up right. Again this is something which is not essential but just makes it a little better.

Pros - Great apartment, comfy and great location. great supermarket(cheap and close), amazing pool, bar and restaurants are a little more expensive but very good food . They need some better and more entertainment on to keep people there. Great views, very quiet , very clean.

Cons - no welcome pack, no toys left for the kids/pool. No taxi which would take you into Sucina, (use Jamie on 697 81 32 21). Bar needs more staff sometimes we waited 20 mins to get served at an empty bar.

All in all great apartment, great resort and such a relaxing time. Just could have been better with a few tiny enhancements

Coast/Beach:

There's lots of choices of what to do in the Costa Calida - and even a choice of which Sea to go to! You can choose between the Mediterranean Sea, and the lesser known Mar Menor (little sea). The Mediterranean beaches include some fabulous white sand walks that the locals favour, while the Mar Menor is an inland sea/salt water lake separated from the Mediterranean by La Manga del Mar Menor; otherwise known as the La Manga strip.

Travel:

Fly to Murcia/San Javier International Airport from Belfast, Birmingham, Blackpool, Bristol, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London - Gatwick, London - Luton, London - Stansted, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich, Nottingham/East Midlands and Southampton. Airlines flying there include Ryanair, Jet2, Easyjet and Monarch. Car hire is available at the airport terminal, and for the best deal advance booking is recommended.

Distances:

Sucina village is only 3 minutes drive away and offers all amenities. Balsicas is 8 km away and has the nearest train station for trips to Murcia town and Cartagena port. Airport: Murcia/San Javier 20km. Ferry: Santander or Bilbao 700km. Beaches 15km. Other golf courses 10km. Supermarket on-site.

Hacienda Riquelme offers a number of on-site facilities which include several impressive swimming pools and children's fenced play areas, outdoor gym, the hugely famous Nicklaus design golf course. Within two minutes walk from the apartment is the Hacienda Town centre with a Club House, Bars, Restaurant Supermarket and golf Pro-Shop / Changing Rooms. The area of Murcia sits on the south east corner of Spain, with Costa Blanca to the North and Costa Almeria to the South. It boasts white sand beaches, crystal clear waters, deserted coves and 320 days of sunshine a year. The World health authority has declared the Murcia province the cleanest in Spain, with the least industrial pollution. For nature lovers, there is the stunning Sierra Espuna national Park and the sierra de Carroscoy mountain range – a paradise for walkers and climbers. Balneario de Archena - On the banks of the clean water and rich river Segura, we find the Balneario de Archena. This is an ideal destination for a healthy treatment. The center which has sources of rich mineral water with temperature of 52 °C is specialized in the treatment of respiratory problems and skin and rheumatic diseases. Balneario de Fortuna - The salt-rich waters of the Balneario de Fortuna spring with a temperature of 53 °C and are particularly effective for the treatment of asthma, rheumatism, colds and allergies, and gynecological disorders. The baths were already used by the Moors and the Romans and are housed in modern facilities. Both apartments are adjacent, making them the perfect destination for groups or families wishing to holiday together but retain their 'own space'. They offer front line golf, overlooking holes 1 and 2 in one direction and holes 8 and 9 in the other. Views are uninterrupted, extending to the hills, or the sea, in the distance. Visitors benefit from the use of a large swimming pool approximately 20 metres from the property. On average it is used by no more than five families at a time. Facilities are within a 2 minute walk, eg Clubhouse, Bar, Supermarket, Golf Pro Shop, Children's Play Areas.
