About the Owner

I live in England with my daughter, my husband is currently working in Abu Dhabi and I spend my time travelling to and fro and looking after the holiday bookings. I do not work now, I left my job with an airline when my husband started to work abroad so that I had the time to visit him. Our daughter is 23 and still lives at home so I like to share my time between both of them. We have two apartments that we rent for holidays, one in Spain, the other in England. We hope in the future to be able to use them more than we do now as we love both of them. We have fantastic people to look after them for us, both apartments are kept to the highest standard, cleanliness is very important to us and we have made sure there is everything you will need for a great holiday.

Lovely apartment near to beach and restaurants.

We loved the situation of the apartment. The view from the balcony over the pool and overlooking the sea is amazing. The apartment is very spacious and has lots of wardrobes and drawer space. At the bottom of the hill there are is a supermarket but cheaper to go to Lidl which isn't too far away. Next to the supermarket at bottom of hill are lovely restaurants the best in our opinion was Las Llavas where the food was superb and the atmosphere was fantastic. Also the Indian and Italian restaurants were also superb. There are also lots of beach restaurants our favourite was The Garden Bar where the food was really good and beautiful location.

We would definitely return to this apartment.

The area seems to be getting better all the time, so clean, never see rubbish in anywhere, love the new walk way along the beach that takes you to La Cala one way and towards Marbella the other, wish they would extend it. Highly Recommended

The property is clean and spacious and in a great location with easy access to shops, restaurants, the beach and the board walk. A car is not needed, but would be useful if you wanted to travel further afield. There is plenty of free parking.

We particularly liked both the large balcony with really good sea views and the pools which had plenty of loungers and shade. The sofas and beds are very comfortable.

There are several ways to get to the boardwalk and beach. The shortest takes about three minutes and is through a short tunnel that crosses under the dual carriageway that passes in front of the property. Otherwise there is access via a bridge over the road or an underpass. These longer routes take about ten minutes.

The property is located is in a hilly area (as is much of La Cala), but this is what helps to give the sea views - and the chance for some dolphin-spotting.

The TV stations available in the apartment are pretty limited - but we didn't go to La Cala to watch TV, so this wasn't an issue. Free Wi-fi worked well throughout the apartment.

We wouldn't hesitate to go back!

Fantastic apartment

The apartment was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The view was out of this world and we shall remember it for a long time to come. Great location for beach, supermarket, and restaurants and no need to hire a car. The only small problem was lack of good quality sun loungers otherwise I would have rated it 5 stars. Booking process was excellent from start to finish.

Lovely apartment with all mod cons

We had a great stay at this well located and smart apartment. There is free wifi and it is a stones throw from the beach, some good restaurants and the boardwalk that now runs all the way into La Cala. Highly recommend.

A very enjoyable stay

We are a family of 4, our children being age 9 & 7. This is a nice apartment in a good location with some nice restaurants and a small supermarket within 5 mins walk down hill, there is also a nice beach a few minutes further walking beyond (El Bombo beach), or you can use the underpass from the gardens and walk along the boardwalk to the beach. About 20 mins walk along is the main town of La Cala where there are plenty of restaurants and bars

We decided not to hire a car, but use the local buses instead which had a good service to both Marbella and Fuengirola.

We were pleasantly surprised that wifi had recently been installed at the apartment which was handy and there were plenty of towels supplied. A good sized balcony overlooking the pool with views of the sea, although the main road nearby can be a bit noisy, you do however get used to it and you can't hear it inside the apartment. There is a good sized main pool and toddler pool, which was never too busy, at times it felt like we had our own private pool!

We found the couple who look after the apartment for the owners to be very helpful if we had any problems/queries.

Location

From the Owner

We bought this property because as soon as we walked in the door we loved it. The balcony doors spread the length of the room which makes for a lovely bright living area. The balcony is large enough for a table, chairs and loungers and the view is wonderful, overlooking the pools and the sea. The location is so good, a few minutes walk to the beach and the local shop and restaurants and only 10 mins walk to the picturesque town of La Cala. Our beach is my favourite, with 2 Spanish restaurants either side, great food at both. For a night out, Marbella is about a 15 mins drive with Puerto Banus a bit further on. If you are not driving the bus stop to take you to Marbella or wherever you fancy is a 5 mins walk away.

Distances:

Nearest towns are La Cala, Fuengirola, Calahonda and Marbella.

Further Details:

Local mini supermarket and a variety of quality restaurants are within minutes walk. La Cala Village is about 15 minutes walk where you will find banks, large supermarkets, bars, restaurants and other shops.

Cleaning pay in Spain £100

Booking Notes:
Booking is very straightforward, just send us an email or give us a ring and tell us the dates you require. Payment is by cheque or Internet Banking, £100.00 deposit (refundable if booking cancelled at least 6 weeks before stay), final payment no later than six weeks prior to your holiday. Payment can also be made in euros to our Spanish bank account. £100 is required in lieu of any damage which can be paid locally and will be refunded on final inspection at the end of your stay.

Changeover Day:
We are flexible with our changeover days. The apartment will be available to your from 2pm on your day of arrival, the departure time should be 10am. There may be flexibility with these times depending on the next guests arrival and the cleaning schedule.

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.

From the Owner

There is plenty of parking spaces around the apartment block. From the road the property is on ground level but once inside, looking out over the sea it is on the 2nd floor. The bedrooms are at the rear of the property and are very quiet. There is a lift down to the pools, if needed. The pool area has plenty of loungers and enough shades if required. The adult pool is a good size as is the children's pool. The gardens are tended daily and look beautiful and the pools cleaned regularly. There is a toilet and changing room one set of stairs down from the pool, there is also a tunnel which leads to the beach. Malaga airport is only a 40 mins drive away, if you do not want to drive whilst in Spain I can arrange for you to be picked up from the airport.
