Steve sand Sue Farman of Villa Fatima welcome you to our Owners Direct ad. Due to letting our another villa very successfully for the last 7 years I have now taken on more villas for letting on behalf of the owners in this very specific area a Portugal located in the area in and around Vale Parra, which includes, Guia, Gale, Sesmarias and west Albuferia (from the Marina) I am limiting myself to this beautiful area as I know it so well, therefore I can offer a personal service to my guests as I have seen or vetted all the properties myself.
Location, location, location and the front room, garden, pool and the local resturants, everything in fact.
The slow peaceful pace of life in Portugal is what makes these holiday breaks so special.
The friendliness of the local’s residents is something that you will remember long after you get back home.
My aim is to make your holiday so good you will want to come back again to stay in either this villa or another one that I arrange the letting on.
Some groups are on the 4th or 5th visit to us for there holidays this year, so come and see why.
My young family and I were delighted with the location and facilities of Villa Seeodoro. The property was very clean, the bedding well-laundered and the rooms aired. A highlight for our children was to buy meat from the local village supermarket to then watch their Dad cook it on the barbecue by the lovely pool! The grounds were as neat and well-kept as the villa interior and we were pleased to be able to reach the beautiful beaches easily at Praia da Gale. A big thumbs up all round!
We were up at the crack of dawn to complete long cycles every morning before returning around midday to chill by the pool in the heat of the day. Of an evening, we alternated eating out with eating in and Seeodoro suited all of our requirements superbly. Stunning property, ideal location.
Villa Seeodoro has been our holiday destination of choice for three consecutive years and we never tire of either the villa or the area. My wife and I enjoy the village atmosphere and the way the fact that everyone is so friendly, always ready with an “Olá” and a smile. This year, we celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary with our 3 children and 4 grandchildren, and the villa had plenty of room for all. Our grandchildren, once they got out of the pool, were fascinated to see a banana tree growing in the house (atrium) and we took them to Zoomarine for a day, which amused all age groups. We have been holidaying in Portugal for most of our married life and have never found such a comfortable, spacious and delightful villa as Seeodoro; as they say, it “ticks a lot of boxes” for us and we feel very special every time we stay. My wife and I sincerely hope we will be celebrating our Diamond anniversary here.
We stayed at this property during the Summer of 2013. We were a large family group with children (and their friends) aged 15-23 in our party. It was as advertised and we rate the experience very positively.
Arrangements were made with the owner who is based in Britain. He was friendly, helpful and flexible. The booking was fast, easy and hassle-free.
It was a magnificent villa; clean, modern and large but not at the expense of a cosy feel. It is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac but local amenities are no more than a 20 minute walk. For example, a small supermarket and off license are less than 200 meters away.
There are also 3-4 pretty good and reasonably priced restaurants within 400 meters but it is advised to book tables for large groups. The pick of the bunch was Domingo but all of the restaurants we tried were good. There is a fabulous cake/coffee shop run by a nice man named Norbert for those with a sweet tooth. Try the lemon drizzle cake!
A bit further up the road is a much larger supermarket (similar to Waitrose). Taxis are available for the return trip (heavy bags) and this costs about 5-8 Euros.
We did not have a car for our stay so access was important to us, but we found the taxi service to be most satisfactory. The villa manager offered to book us rental cars if needed.
The old town/ Albufeira strip is accessible via taxi- about 15 Euros. We would highly recommend booking taxis through the villa manager. We had the same driver for the week and he was friendly, humorous and very informative. He even presented us with a bottle of Port at the end of our stay. Ask for Vasco!
We also booked Vasco to take us to Zoo Marine- the local animal/water park. This was better suited to younger children but we still had fun! Be sure to see the dolphin show and the 4-D cinema there!
Gale Beach (which is magnificent) is about a 20 minute walk.
The occupants of the neighbouring villas were friendly and helpful.
The pool was clean and well maintained.
Local support/villa management was punctual and helpful without being oppressive. Transport was booked for us from Faro airport (about 35 minutes away).
The only drawback was the persistent Algarve mosquitoes which made al-fresco dining difficult after sundown, even with a generous supply of citronella candles burning.
We would choose to stay here again.
