About the Owner

I have lived in Javea for over 6 years and think its a beautiful place. I am currently living and working in England and miss Javea and the fabulous Spanish climate every day. I had a large rental business in Spain and now just look after a small collection of high quality properties. I return to Javea twice a year to check the properties, enjoy the sunshine I miss so much and catch up with friends. Javea is a very special place.

We had an exception holiday in this beautiful villa, thoroughly enjoying the privacy of the pool, modern interior, great music selecton and UK telly. It was fabulous and we can't recommend it enough - Dawn & Peter Cheston with James, Ben & Alexandra.

Having stayed in numerous private villas we have to say this place was exceptional. Fab pool, lovely and private, pretty gadens, lots of different seating areas, full TV package, so quiet & peaceful with lots of extras like beach towels, mobile cooler & pool inflatables - saved a fortune! 5 star rating from the Cruddas family.

Fantastic holiday had by all. Not one complaint. Gorgeous villa, lovely furniture inside and out. Didn't want to go home. The pool and terrace with definitely 5 plus for us. Anyone would be delighted with this villa, its just a great location and we loved the Rio Rau restaurant. Have booked again next year.

Lovely Villa but dirty and not maintained.

  • 3 of 5

Family week in Javea. Villa with pool. Gated. Pool well maintained. Loads of disused dirty looking pool toys at rear of building. Ugly.

Dining room chairs broken and obviously not checked prior to our rental. dishwasher, kitchen bin and fridge top and trays and outside drain and outside basin etc all filthy and I had to clean before my daughter arrived. light bulbs not working. My wife described the mattress as disgusting.

My contact with Lynne was good and she was concerned for our well being during the brush fire nearby which completely ruined our family holiday but thats a chance one has to take.

Owner's Response: I am actually quite speechless at this review. I was in contact with these guests via phone and email during their stay. Not once during these interactions did they raise any of the issues above nor was it mentioned in their feedback on their return, all they advised was 2 chairs were broken on arrival without identifying which ones. If I am not informed at the time, then they are not providing me with an opportunity of resolving these problems and on this basis, to submit this review over 2 months later is actually quite unfair. All guests are sent a full guidance document prior to their arrival with my phone number and email address. They are asked to contact me within their first 24 hours of arrival should they experience any problems. If they had contacted me on arrival a cleaner would have been sent to the villa immediately to thoroughly clean these area's. No guests should ever have to clean any part of the property and I am very disappointed they arrived to find the cleaning to be below standard. Fortunately there have been no other complaints this season regarding the cleaning standard or maintenance of the villa. Yes the villa is lovely and it is ALL very well maintained not just the Pool, this review is very misleading. Apart from the inflatables which guests buy throughout the season I didn't experience any of the issues above during my stay a few weeks ago. I did however throw away all the inflatables which I do at the end of each season because I don't like them either. However I cannot control what people buy and leave for other families with children. Don't let this review put you off this lovely villa as rest assured a lot of time, energy and money is invested in maintaining high standards in both the interior and exterior of this property. I personally go myself at the beginning and end of every season to check/inspect the property and deep clean all area's. Anything found to be broken or damaged is replaced at the beginning of the season, however I have no control over damage caused by guests during the summer unless this is reported to me. I will consider reinstating meet and greets next season so I never find myself in this situation again as I have found this very upsetting. I take a lot of pride in providing a very high standard in this lovely villa as it's my home and not just a holiday let and has been furnished accordingly which is appreciated by the majority of guests. I am confident you will too.

What a great stay

  • 4 of 5

This secluded villa is in a quiet, residential area and under 10 minutes from the lovely town of Javea, with their great Arenal Beach with a choice of many restaurants you can wander to for lunch and in the evening, it is lovely to wander along the seafront with an evening market.

The villa was spacious and had everything you needed. Plenty of space all around, 2 areas for sunbathing around the back, ready to catch the last rays of sun also with the choice of 2 BBQ areas. At the front,6 lovely sun loungers with a good size pool that had the sun virtually all day. Air con in every room, everything was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Great to have a utility room with a drying area, would be great if you were taking children. You could get normal TV channels, well stocked music, books and games, we really did not need to take some of the things we did.

Although you need a car, there are restaurants and shops a short drive away. One small supermarket is open every day until late, Aldi is close and the choice of 3 larger Spanish supermarkets.

All in all a really great holiday.

Still the Best

  • 5 of 5

This villa in a quiet residential area in Javea is the best that we've been to.

Had been to a few villas over the years but have now been going to this villa for the last four years, we were supposed to be going back in Sept 2014 but have had to cancel due to a family members ill health!

The villa is clean, spacious and has all the mod cons that you could wish for, a choice of BBQ areas and several areas to go if you want to get away from the rest of the family or just to get out of the sun for a while.

Comfortable beds and air con in every room, decent showers and even a bath in the en-suite if your that way inclined!

The 10 metre pool is brilliant and is big enough if you want to go for a decent swim, it's also spotless!

Every year we go back there is always something added or has been upgraded.

UK TV on the flat screen including Sky channels (you won't miss Emmerdale or Corry) Happy Days!

We, as a family would recommend this villa, we wouldn't go back every year if we didn't!

Relaxing in the sun

  • 5 of 5

Have just arrived back from a fantastic week in this villa. From booking the villa to handing back the keys after our holiday we cannot fault any of the experience. Our emails were answered quickly and information given that we had requested. Now turning to the villa, what can I say, it is beautiful, relaxing, private and plenty of little areas to read, have a glass of wine and eat. Having 3 teenagers holidaying with us the WiFi and cable TV were essential with all their gadgets and they certainly enjoyed the pool all day and into the evening. The sun shines over the pool all day but there are sun umbrellas available if you need the shade. The gardens are full of beautiful and interesting plants to enjoy. If like us you enjoy exploring there are many places to visit, we visited Guadelest a small mountain top village and we cooled off at Fonts du Agar which is well worth a visit. Back to the villa, it is well equipped for a self catering holiday with everything you could ever need. We made use of the bar-be-que a couple of times and there are places to eat within walking distance if you do not want to drive. We would recommend the Indian restaurant just around the corner and also a small Spanish bar/café which we were made to feel very welcome. To sum up we were looking for a top quality villa with a pool in a quiet area but close to places if we wanted to visit, this place certainly delivered. Thanks again for a brilliant holiday.

Just Perfect

  • 5 of 5

We had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful Villa during our early summer break and found it to be just perfect. Beautiful gardens and grounds, private and quiet, just what we have been looking for in Javea for many years. Wonderfully fitted out with all the equipment and facilities you could ever need, the Villa was clean and tidy and very comfortable in every way. The only problem we had was that we had to go home so soon. Many thanks again Lynne for a wonderful stay. We will be back!

Disappointed

  • 2 of 5

We arrived late off our flight. No lights on outside. Took a bit of time to find everything. While, the garden and pool are very nice, the interior furnishing and decor is very dated. All linen & towels appeared well used...old & shabby. Bed linen not ironed and lots of sand in the twin beds!!! We were also left short one set of towels. Not very clean...BBQ s were dirty along with windowsills, under beds & couches. We will not recommend this property to anyone, especially, at the price we paid for it. We also specifically asked and looked for a level walk in shower...however, the reality was that both showers had a step up into them at least 6 inches high! That is NOT a walk in shower suitable for disabled or elderly people.

Owner's Response: Firstly I feel that reviews which are inaccurate as the one above should not be posted as they are giving clients a completely wrong impression of the property. These guests were sent through arrival information prior to their departure and viewed all photographs of the villa prior to booking. I cannot be held responsible for the fact that they arrived late off their flights. There is an automatic flood light on the drive above the garage plus the light in the utility which houses the key safe is left on for all guests arriving in the dark, therefore their report that there was no light is incorrect. The original booking was for 3 guests and this information was passed to the cleaning team which is why 3 sets of towels were left out. All linen and bedding was clean on arrival and placed on the beds, therefore it is impossible that any sand would have been found in the beds. The linen is laundered and ironed by the launderette so it is not possible this could have been placed on the beds unironed. The linen and towels are not old and shabby, they are checked and replaced at the beginning of each season. There was no email communication from Mary Walker who reserved this villa asking for confirmation of any step in the walk in showers whatsoever. There is approx brick height around the showers and they would not have been informed otherwise. These bathrooms are not promoted as wet rooms which would suggest a shower without any form of lip, barrier or step. The villa is also not dated, all the rooms have been furnished to a high standard and I think this is apparent from the photographs you can view on the website. As for the price this is completely fair and competitive compared to other villa's of this standard. This property offers wi-fi, full UKTV, two BBQ areas, fabulous landscaped gardens, air conditioning in all rooms including ceilings fans, linen, towels, cleaning and beach towels. There are no extra charges for air con or cleaning. We have a lot of returning clients to this villa and I have received fabulous feedback from the guests who departed on the same day as these 4 elderly ladies went in. Please do not let this completely inaccurate reivew of this lovely villa put you off booking. The villa is non smoking and unfortunately these ladies, having put a bad review on the property, have left the villa with a heavy stench of cigarette smoke as they did not respect this property had a no smoking policy. An unpleasant experience!

Location

From the Owner

My friend bought this villa because it is situated in a lovely quiet cul-de-sac and the grounds are nice and private. They like this location because you can walk to a couple of good restaurants, bar and some tennis courts. The grounds and pool are fabulous and they rarely feel the need to go to the beach with the selection of two different BBQ areas. When they do fancy a trip to the beach it's only a 5 minute drive to the Arenal Beach and it's many trendy bars and restaurants. Being close to a few good restaurants means you can truly relax in the evening and not have to drive anywhere if you fancy dinner out.
