Very private, spacious and detached pavillion house on edge of the very friendly Fleuri village of St Fraimbault. Built in 1962 for the local Marie. A comfortable, spacious, home from home. The gardens are secure and have 2 large table and chair sets with large barbecue for that alfresco style of living. The garden is fenced and gated giving you peace of mind while allowing your little ones to play freely. Driveway for 2 cars. The award winning 4* fleuri village offers beautiful surroundings for taking a stroll and enjoying the relaxed French lifestyle. Restaurant short walk from house in village. Fantastic base for a family holiday in France to either relax or become adventurers! Small super market, Hairdressers, Bar and excellent restaurant with in easy walking distance of house.

Bicycles and scooters are available for your use. Complimentary welcome pack provided.

Why Lainey Mackay chose Saint-Fraimbault

We originally wanted to buy a country farmhouse, but when we found this little treasure we instantly knew this was the right choice for us.

Set in the 4* fleuri village of St Fraimbault we feel we are set in one of the prettiest villages of the region. There is great community spirit and camaraderie in the summer village competition, and in winter the community spirit continues.

We looked also at our retirement which with good health we can spend here, as the village is flat and convenient.

The church bells add to the village's quaintness but they slowly disappear into the background as you relax the day away.

Having superstate and restaurant on doorstep allows us to relax and enjoy our surroundings.

What makes this house unique

Our home is on the edge of a village allowing us the convenience of being able to walk to the local shops.

We love being part of our French community. Our neighbors are very friendly they have welcomed us from the first day we viewed our house. They even teach us "true" French not the conversational type we learned in school.

Being situated on the border of 2 regions allows us to explore 2 regional cultures and we are never bored ! As we holiday in France there is ALWAYS plenty of things to do. We can be as active or as relaxed as we wish. We truly hope you enjoy our comfortable home from home as much as we do !

Such a lovely house-the photos don't do it justice. Loads of space ideal for children. The village is a great touring base Shame we had to leave! - Taylor/Birleson families.

We really enjoyed our holiday in beautiful St Fraimbault. The house and garden are lovely and the bakery convenient for breakfast. - The Conway family Sussex.

We only had a week (unfortunately!) it was a lovely part of the world. The house was a real treat, so much room and really well equipped. St Fraimbault is without a doubt the prettiest village in these parts. Simmonds Family, South Wales.

Outside: 16 foot splash pool available 1 May to 1 September.Garden furniture provided on both side garden & rear gardens, to ensure all day sun or shade. Surrounded by beautiful neighbourhood private gardens. The neighbours are very friendly. The entire village enters into the spirit of the fleuri village therefore the village is immaculate and in full bloom in high season. Outstanding view from front door as 2 award winning gardens across road from property. Swing set trampoline and swing-ball available for use. Boules set may also be used- pitch behind house. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The house is cleaned before your arrival and we ask that you leave in the same condition. We can offer a local cleaning service for €40 request on arrival Linen and towels optional €10 per head all payable locally on arrival please.

lovely house in a very pretty village

House is typically French in style. Parking for 2 cars with gates. Lovely size garden with BBQ and places for outside eating and pool. House is roomy with good size bedrooms, two bathrooms - one of which is very new. Kitchen good size with plenty of everything. Games room was well used and appreciated. The village itself is so pretty with flowers everywhere.

Village shops just two minutes walk away with a small supermarket where we got fresh bread each morning. There is a lake nearby with pedalos, however would recommend a game of crazy golf played in the woods with a couple of interesting holes. All together our party of 6

had a lovely holiday here.

The property was well equipped and clean with everything you need to cater for a family. Set in a quiet yet very pretty village, with lots of friendly residents to offer advice for days out.

The property is very French with modern touches with a 'to die for' bathroom. lots to keep the kids entertained when the weather not at its best, pool table, board games and the essential Wi Fi.

A good base for visiting the many villages and towns nearby.

Would definitely consider returning and would not hesitate to recommend the property.

Maison tres propre et dans laquelle rien ne manque !!

Le seul point négatif est qu " abritel " ne precise pas des le depart le prix a payer pour le sejour .En effet abritel m indiquait un sejour à 540 euros et finalement j ai été prélevé de 665 euros ( 100 euro de taux de change + 15 euros de frais de carte ) car le proprietaire vit en écosse ..Cet écart de prix ne concerne que les Français pas les ecossais .

Les hotes sur place etaient tres acceuillants et disponible .Des gens charmants et une maison spacieuse et confortable .Je ne regrette pas mon séjour .

Airport: Dinard/Rennes 120km. Railway: Flers 25km. Ferries:Dover-Calais 4.5 hour drive, fastest ferry, long drive. Most expensive-Toll roads.

Britany Ferries-Portsmouth-Caen 110Km 1.5 hour drive discounts given with owners discount club.

Portsmouth-Le Havre 2 hour drive. Cheapest but long ferry trip. It is possible to stay at our property with no use of a car. However for sight seeing and freedom to explore a car is advisable.

Fly drive via Paris book early to ensure low cost

Buvette open daily Non and alcoholic refreshments available along with a selection of snacks. Ideal for cooling off during an afternoon walk! In high season the village hold Friday evening dances at the Buvette area. Everyone welcome. Superette containing essentials open 7 days /week. Cafe bar and patisserie 200 yds from house - ideal for breakfast lunch and dinner- Le Coquilecot restaurant offers good local produce and is popular with the villagers. Booking may be advised high season. Boules pitch just behind house. Tennis court, assault course and crazy golf pitches available near lake. Bank, Credit Agricole in Domfront and Mayenne. ATM machine in English and French, easy cash withdrawal. Information on local attractions festivals places to eat given on arrival. Pony trekking in nearby Passais. Markets every day in surrounding areas

Nearby Bagnoles de Lorne is a spa town boasting a casino, golf course and assault course. The Monastery at St Mont Michelle offers an interesting way to spend the day. Not for the less mobile. The biscuits at Lonlay Abbey are not to be missed along with the cider sampling at the Cider Museum at Barenton. For the more adventurous the Foret des Ardaines is a superb backdrop for a bit of twitching, or for a spot of walking in excellent scenery. Within 10 mins drive is the Medieval village of Domfront there are several restaurants and two supermarkets with a Friday local market on a Friday morning. Gorron is also approx 10mins offering petrol stations Large Supermarket and typical French local shops. Kayaking at Tourchamps take suitable footwear excellent for all ages. Alligator Bay. Festyland, Waterpark & Zoo within easy reach of house.
