About the Owner

Having been in the hotel business for over 10 years in Manchester, UK, we decided to go into the exclusive villa renting business many years ago. A lot of time, thought and love has been invested in creating Villa Allure. The soft furnishings of the villa expresses much of my early childhood which was spent in Kenya, I hope that our future guests appreciate this personal touch. To date the feedback from our guests have indeed been very positive and we would like to thank both our past and future guests that have chosen to stay at our villa.

We look forward to you and your family enjoying Villa Allure and promise that you will not regret it as your first choice when visiting Dalyan.

Dalyan is indeed a very enchanting and unique experience!

Fantastic holiday

  • 4 of 5

We booked the villa only 8 weeks before traveling and found Nadine extremely helpful in organising payment, transfers, welcome pack and cot for our stay. There was everything we needed from the moment we arrived. Oruc Travel (local agent) were helpful and informative.

The villa was very clean and is extremely spacious. Air conditioning in all bedrooms and the lounge mean there is some escape from the heat of the day if you need it. Having 4 bathrooms is an added bonus, especially as one is on the ground floor. The pool is relatively large and is a single depth only. However the jacuzzi is also great as a paddling pool for younger visitors.

Garden is well maintained as is the pool (visited daily to check everything was OK).

The kitchen has everything you need to eat in, but we more often than not ate out and restaurants are about 10 minutes leisurely walk away (main strip in Dalyan).

Easy access to everything, and local supermarket 5 minutes walk.

Peaceful location with great view of the rock tombs from upstairs balconies.

We would definitely stay in this villa again. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Great property good location

  • 5 of 5

Have just seen the previous review but as we are here in the height of summer we didn't have the same problems and found the villa to be excellent all round.

We are a family of 5 with children of 9, 15 & 17. We all had a great time. Pool was enjoyed by all of us and was plenty big enough.

The villa is excellently located, an easy 10 minute maximum flat walk to town but there is a small shop and some restaurants closer than that.

There are plenty of eating areas between the inside and outside which also means you have enough space for some private time.

All rooms have a very well sized en-suite bathroom and the bedrooms are a good size. The property was very clean and we also had a mid point clean included which was very thorough.

It would be a good addition to have some washing up liquid and dishwasher tabs however, have not had them left before at other good quality villas.

The kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of crockery, pots, pans etc

Dalyan is a very nice resort and there is plenty to do, or very little if you prefer!

Badly managed, yet great property

  • 2 of 5

Villa Allure is a fantastic property - which is let down by poor management of the property. We had several issues, most of which were not dealt with whilst we were staying in Dalyan. The property manager – Navine, claims that these issues are now resolved. Prior to leaving, I looked at and added to the guest book in the property. I noticed that quite a few of my issues had been suffered by other people dating back several years, so I question whether in reality, they have the ability to resolve all of the issues.

The main issue for us, was that the property was advertised on owners direct as having a heated pool. It wasn't heated and was seldom usable at the time of year we were there. I sent an e-mail to Navine who manages the property bookings from the UK: - "our decision to take your property was based upon it having a heated swimming pool. This would have allowed us to spend more time at the villa enjoying ourselves in the pool, thus saving us money on extra trips out. We were not able to do that much as it was too cold to use. The property was advertised as having a heated swimming pool on owners direct. We made our decision based upon this and it is not useable”. Navine denied that the property was advertised on owners direct as having a heated pool. I have a print of the screen that proved that it was but she was unable to open the PDF and word documents that I sent. I notice now that the website has been changed.

In addition to this issue, the WIFI never worked, there were electrical problems, the windows leaked when it rained. Basics that should be provided in a luxury villa but weren’t included a corkscrew, tea towels, washing up liquid and sponge, dishwasher tabs. There were some other issues which occurred but these were resolved by local management after a few days.

Following the holiday and the inability of the local ORUC management to resolve the main issues, I chased up the issues with Navine again. Navine offered a week's free accommodation in the winter months, “as a good will gesture”. This, unfortunately was an empty offer, as the flights for 5 people go up massively at this time of year and the weather would not be hot, which was a large part of why we travel abroad once a year. No other compensation was forthcoming as I expected.

Without these (mostly niggling) issues I would have given the property 4 or 5 out of 5. With these issues not being resolved, I can only give it 2 out of 5 – That’s how disappointed I am.

From the Owner

I fell in love with Dalyan from my first visit and it was as if time had stopped. Dalyan is an area of stunning natural beauty, an area of sea, river, lakes, mountains and pine forests. Wonderful un-spoilt Dalyan in this fantastic corner of Turkey is the perfect place to enjoy the relaxing and exotic culture of Mediterranean Turkey. The 12 Island trip is an amazing experience and I would always recommend this to anyone visiting Dalyan. A wonderful day with beautiful views of the Islands, swimming and taking in the colours of the sea with lunch on board is a day you that will be etched in your memories for time to come. You will be picked up from the Villa and the yacht takes off from Gocek Harbour which has gorgeous Yachts and Boats to admire. There are many other excursions that you can enjoy from jeep safaris, day trips to the snow capped mountains and ski resorts.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Dalaman at 16.4 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : at 18 Metres Nearest Restaurant : Safran Restaurant at 18 Metres Car: not necessary

Special interest holidays:

The area is a world heritage site and famous as the breeding ground to the giant Carretta Carretta turtle. It is also the home of hundreds of birds including sea eagles and kingfishers and a stork wildlife sanctuary. I can arrange all activities from cycling (2 cycles provided for guests) horse riding, gulet cruises, snorkeling, fishing, scuba, white water rafting etc. The area is also famous as an archeological site of ancient ruins and Lycian cliff tombs and is the home of mud baths and natural sulphur bathing springs. Absolutely loads to do.

The beach is a protected area and the village is on a river between the Koycheciz lake and the Turtle beach (voted in the top ten beaches of the world). A river boat taxi runs all the time from the harbour to the beach 4km or you can take a cheap dolmus by road 11km. A superb day is to take a boat across the lake to the local market at Koycheciz and after visit the mud baths and sulphur spring sand. Eat at the restaurant or have your own barbecue on the boat and a swim in the lake.

Under 20km from Dalaman airport. Car not essential as the villa is walking distance to the centre where 60 restaurants await and dozens of activities. Car hire locally cheaper than airport. Taxi collection at the airport provided at cost £35 for 4 and £45 for up to 12. Just provide flight details when booking.

50 metres from the river and 500 metres village centre. 1km to the lake. The ancient city of Kaunos is just over the river and an absolute must to visit with occasional open air concerts in the amphitheatre. Fethiye and Marmaris are 1 hour and 1 1/2 hours away. Tours to Ephesus and Pamukkale available and more local trips in gulets and 4 wheel drive safaris etc.

Further Details:

There is a small store 150m from the villa and 3 larger supermarkets in the village at 0.3km and 1km away. Restaurants, shops and bars abound all over with over 60 eating establishments to choose from ranging from cheap pide cafés to classy riverside restaurants serving fish specialties and every conceivable type of Meze. The local bank has a cash machine and there are 2 others located along the high street. Saturday has the local market which is great to buy cheap provisions and fresh produce. Leather and jewellery are cheap and of the highest quality but be sure to bargain. All clothes are of great value.

Oruc exclusive arrange all types of trips and visits.

From the Owner

My family has always looked forward to spending a couple of weeks a year in our Villa which has meant that we have made many friends both with the locals and frequent visitors of Dalyan, some who have been coming for numerous years which just about sums it up. You will be so spoilt for the choices of where you will be dining in the evenings......what can I say! Romantic Riverside Restaurants with river, tomb and mountain views. The cuisine is absolutely superb, service impeccable, menu choices include both Turkish and English dishes. Lovely Cocktail bars with live music and shisha bars are scattered in the town centre. Shops are open until midnight in the summer months so you can shop till you are ready to drop.....I bet you wish you were here! "Dalyan is simply an addiction"
