Chaucers Retreat is a lovely modern apartment with excellent facilities and easy walking distance to the centre of Keswick. You can leave your car in the car park and walk to the lake, shops, bars and restaurants. The surrounding hills are some of the best walking in the country, Skiddaw, Blencathra, Cat Bells to name a few. We are sure you will be happy as the apartment has been finished to a high standard.

Chaucer House apartments are within 3 minutes walk of Keswick town centre, 5 minutes from the shores of Lake Derwentwater and the Theatre by the Lake. Chaucer Apartments are an ideal base for walking, shopping and sightseeing and has private off-road parking. It is part of a prestige luxury holiday accommodation development, completed in February 2006 converted from a Victorian house hotel into luxurious living spaces.

Nearest Port: Newcastle - 80 miles. Nearest Airport: Newcastle - 80 miles. There is a very good bus service. Car hire available. A car is not needed.

Chaucers Retreat and Chaucer Apartment are both very central but quite. You can lave you car and explore the lakes and shops for you door.

Keswick is a beautiful vibrate town nestled in the Lake District fells. You can enjoy a variety of outdoor sports from walking, climbing, mountain biking to boating on the lake. Keswick enjoys festivals throughout the year.

  • Notes on accommodation: This one bedroom apartment offers every luxury needed for a fabulous holiday. There is a private entrance which leads to a well lit hallway. From the hallway you enter into the well furnished lounge with polished wood floor, leather settee and tub chair, LCD TV, DVD and CD player and glass table with chairs. This room has a very modern feel and offers every comfort. From the lounge there is access to the bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom has a super king size bed, a well furnished and well lit room with a large en-suite bathroom with both bath and shower. There is also a separate shower room with shower and wc and wash basin. A separate kitchen offers well finished units with marble work tops, oven and hob, integrated fridge, freezer, dishwasher etc. This apartment is perfect for two with a very private feel.
