The villa is set in beautiful landscaped terraced gardens in an exclusive residential location, with uninterrupted views of the Gavarres Hills. Ideal for alfresco dining is the covered eating area and BBQ adjacent to the kidney shaped pool. The living area is of open plan design with a fully fitted kitchen and seperate utility room with washing machine. The conservatory provides ample extra space for dining adjacent to the seperate TV lounge. On the 1st floor are 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, 1 en-suite, with additional WC downstairs. There is garage space for 1 car and ample roadside parking. Ideal location for exploring the unique unspoilt area of Catalunya with its abundance of coves and sandy beaches. Locally there are coastal walks and countryside trails, historic towns and numerous sporting activities to enjoy, Club Golf D'Aro - Mas Nou is less than 15 mins drive. The historic city of Girona is only 40 mins drive and cities of Barcelona and Perpignan are within easy reach.

Notes on accommodation: The villa is cool in the heat of the summer and has central heating and an open fire for the cooler winter months, so is ideal for rental all year round. Outside: The landscaped gardens extend around the villa providing areas of sun and shade. There are sun loungers for six people and the outside eating area can accommodate 8 people comfortably. There is a brick built BBQ and ample outside lighting including underwater pool illumination. The kidney shaped pool (8mx4m) has Roman steps at the shallow end increasing to a depth of approx 6ft. Utility Room: Washing machine. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels. The villa is cleaned and linen changed before and after your stay, but mid term cleaning and linen change can be arranged for a reasonable additional fee. Other: Separate TV lounge with DVD player. Large conservatory set for formal dining, seats 6 comfortably with double patio doors to the pool area.

Just fantastic

The house was everything we hoped for. Beautiful location in the hills with a great view. We loved everything about it and loved it so much that we will return next year. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the garden area with nice places to sit and relax. The house had more then enough room for all of us (5 person household). The beach and supermarket were a ten minute drive without traffic jams. Nothing more to tell, just great!

Absolutely perfect.

We think the fact that our family have stayed at this property for three years in a row (and hope to come back again in 2014) speaks volumes. Apart from the fact that Calonge, and Catalunya in general, offer a lot for a family holiday, the Dave and Linda's villa is absolutely perfect. It is undoubtedly the best equipped and maintained property we have ever rented. There are local agents who are accessible, helpful and friendly. The pool and the garden are regularly and immaculately maintained. The villa itself is spacious, and although there are other villas around it, it still feels quite private, and has lovely views over the Gavares hills. Dave and Linda have always been fair and reasonable in their interactions with us and a high level of trust has been built up over the years - all they ask is that you respect their property and replace and breakages etc. The only hesitation I have in recommending this villa, is that it may make it difficult for us to get a booking from now on!

Owner's Response: This review is what we aspire to when letting our villa. It is after all our second home and not just another holiday rental. It's a great compliment when we receive repeat bookings for the following summer and confirms they have enjoyed their holiday. With this family in particular it feels like we are letting our villa to friends knowing they will treat it with the respect it deserves.

Booking Notes:
Price is for the villa per week and is based on a maximum occupancy of 6 people. A 20% non-refundable deposit to be paid on booking. The balance is to be paid 8 weeks prior to departure. A refundable security deposit of £150 payable with the final balance. This deposit will be refunded to you within 14 days of your return minus the cost of any breakages. Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer. Sorry but no pets or smoking.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is flexible with arrival after 5pm and departure by 11am. Our agents will meet you on arrival to show you around the villa, demonstrate how everything works & leave a welcome pack to ensure a good start to your holiday.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds.
Short breaks subject to availability, please ask.

Parking is available on the road in front of the villa or in the garage at the end of our fairly steep driveway. The driveway is shared and guests are asked to respect our neighbour's access.

A booking deposit of 20% is due within 14 days of the booking confirmation and the balance is due 8 weeks prior to the start of your holiday.
