Beautifully Furnished Villa With Pool And Fantastic Views in El Portet, Moraira

Overview

Property

Updated: 03-Dec-2016
3 Bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Private pool. Large terrace with magnificent views. 10 minutes walk to El Portet beach.

This spacious villa, in the exclusive area of El Portet, is situated on a hillside above the beach. Whilst furnished throughout in a modern and contemporary style, the villa retains its unique Spanish 'feel' and provides the best of both indoor and outdoor living. The large sun terrace surrounded by private gardens of palms, olives and bougainvillea, has a tiled patio with roman steps into the private 9m x 5m pool and faces south-west providing all-day sun and wonderful sunsets over the mountains. With a barbecue, sun loungers for all and plenty of outdoor furniture, you can and probably will spend all day outside. Equally you may just wish to relax on the upper terrace, ideal for breakfast or drinks at sunset. If you can tear yourself away, the beach at El Portet is just 10 minutes down the hill and Moraira is only just over a mile away. If you can, walk in to town at least once. It only takes 25 minutes and is a wonderful walk along the clifftop and above the marina.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We stayed in Casa Aliber with my family. I must say we were absolutely excited about the house - it's atmosphere, the facilities, the equipment available, the privacy of the pool inviting for night swims, the gorgeous views from the balcony, even the location suited us very well - with beach nearby, and with the beautiful walk up to the Pirate Lookout. The only weak point of the stay was we had to leave!-Ilona Sept12

We had the most wonderful time, your villa was absolutely perfect – from the location to the attention to detail within. Our family group stay in gites and villas together each year (and have done so for 15 years) and I can honestly say that your villa was exceptional.-Sharon July12

Absolutely beautiful setting, Alison provided everything that we needed for a wonderful holiday. Our group ranged from 16yrs to 72yrs and everybody thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The beach (beautiful, safe and sandy) was a short walk away and there were plenty of things to occupy us- Rosie June1

Fabulous holiday in a stunning villa

  • 5 of 5

The villa was spacious, immaculate, and in a stunning location with beautiful views. We stayed as a family of 9 (6 adults, and 3 small children) for one week. Alison has thought of everything and the attention to detail in the villa made it feel like a home from home. The pool area was clean and well maintained. It was perfect for the kids with little steps to get in and out of the water. The area around El Portet and Moraira has a relaxed feel, and is not at all overcrowded even in school holidays. We spent several days at Moraira beach and enjoyed some lovely meals at local restaurants and tavernas. We really couldn't fault the villa or the area and look forward to returning again in the future. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Casa Aliber, El Portet

  • 5 of 5

I have just spent a very relaxing week in a very smart, comfortable and beautiful villa. On arrival, I received a welcome pack ( bread, ham, cheese, butter, wine and milk). The villa was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Information regarding local amenities was excellent. The beach was only a ten minute walk away whereby you can purchase a meal whilst overlooking the beautiful, clean bay. The water was crystal clear and so blue. Moraira was a 20-30 minute walk from the villa, easy to find and lots of shops, restaurants and boats to visit. A very friendly place where you feel safe.

Lounging about the villa was easy, the sunbeds were fab quality, plenty of places to sit and relax, shaded or in the sun. The kitchen facilities were excellent, everything you need to cook and prepare scummy foods from the local supermarkets or have a barbecue. The bathrooms were spotless and well presented, towels were new and good quality. I have stayed in many villas over the years and found this to be exceptional in quality and location. The area is quiet, sunny and safe. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Ali for an amazing week. What a fab place you have.

Another lovely holiday at Casa Aliber

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely villa in El Portet. The villa is well equipped with all the things you would expect. The pool and pool area are nicely set out with plenty of beds and seating for everyone. The pool has steps into the pool which enabled by elderly father to get in and out of the pool.

The villa has excellent views from the balcony and is pleasant to sit and have a coffee in the morning and dinner in the evening. We walked down to the beach nearly every evening which takes about 10-15 mins down hill. You will need to be slightly more energetic coming back but my kids didn't seem to notice. We have stayed here before about four years ago and we would return again without hesitation!

Villa - Wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

Reviewed August 26, 2014

The party was an extended family with an age range between 25 and 78 and without exception everyone was very impressed with the property. The villa itself is very attractive, clean and in an excellent state of repair. The Garden is beautiful and the perfect place to sit and relax.

The villa is in easy walking distance of the beach, which is on a safe, sheltered bay. However, you do have get up early to stake your spot on the beach. Moraira, the local town is only a 20 minute walk away along the coast road.

The booking arrangements worked impeccably. Each payment was acknowledged and information supplied when promised. Last but not least, following the final inspection the deposit was promptly returned.

Fab villa, fab location

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for just over a week and had a lovely time. We were 2 families and found the space worked really well for us. The villa had all the things to make our holiday enjoyable, lovely outside spaces to eat in the evening and would recommend using the paella pan on the BBQ. El Portet is a lovely resort and the beach was in walking distance although some days we just spent the day at the villa, we went to Moraira on the train in the evening (not altogether reliable!) as there were more restaurants but loved El Portet in the day. Would recommend this villa to anyone, we had a fab time.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Alicante at 90 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : El portet at 0.5 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Ifach at 4 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : El portet at 0.5 Kilometres Nearest Beach : El portet at 0.5 Kilometres Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

El Portet beach is a leisurely 10 min walk downhill from the villa. (There are car parks, if you prefer to drive). The beach has a 'blue flag', lifeguards in high season and is ideal for children, as it slopes very gently with no strong currents. There is no through road at El Portet and consequently, no traffic. Much less commercialised than 'typical' Spain, El Portet seafront has just 2 local bars situated right on the seawall, a great place to while away the hours and take in the views.

Travel:

El Portet is a 60 minute drive from Alicante and 75 from Valencia. There are many flight options to both including several low cost airlines. . Car hire is recommended with two local companies, Centauro and Goldcar, offering particularly competitive rates.

Distances:

Moraira 1m (2km).

Javea 8m (12km).

Calpe 9m (14km).

Altea 16m (25km).

Benidorm 26m (42km).

Further Details:

El Portet has a deli with every day needs and a chemist, both speaking English. There are 4 local restaurants; 2 beach bars serving good, but inexpensive food; a local Spanish restaurant serving local dishes and good takeaway pizza; and one of the best restaurants on the Costa Blanca on a cliff above the beach, not cheap, but ideal for that special occasion. On the cliff above the bay is an old pirate lookout, known locally as the Pepper Pot. The climb to the top is a bit rocky, but well worth it for the views, where you can see the outline of Ibiza on a clear day. The main town of Moraira is just over a mile from the villa. If you can, walk there at least once. It is a beautiful walk along the cliff top, through the landscaped park and above the marina with great views the whole way and takes about 25 minutes. You can always get a cab back! Moraira has two large beaches with all amenities, several supermarkets, two petrol stations, lots of excellent shops and more good restaurants and bars than you can ever try. The waterfront is dominated by the old castle, which has been restored and looks particularly good at night, when illuminated. The town has a lively market every Friday morning, a street market most evenings in summer and many local fiesta events, particularly in high season. In summer it is a town of contrasts. A quiet relaxed place during the day, but lots of activity at night, when everybody eats alfresco.

Sporting enthusiasts are well catered for in Moraira. Sailing, fishing and scuba diving can all be arranged from the marina. There is a tennis club and a full-size go-kart track in town and two golf courses within 5 miles of the villa.

A little further afield are Javea, Calpe, Benissa, Altea and the Jalon Valley. All within 30 minutes and all having their own unique attractions.
