Apartment on Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort, Sucina, Murcia - Situated 20 Mins from Beaches and Airport

Our 2nd floor apartment has a south facing balcony with stunning views, the perfect place to enjoy breakfast in the morning and a quiet drink in the evening. Not only for golfing fans, Hacienda Riquelme is the perfect location to explore the Murcia region, from the beautiful beaches on the Mar Menor coastline to the historic cities of Cartagena and Murcia, all within easy reach. The Mar Menor is a large seawater lagoon and offers safe swimming as well as warm waters well into the autumn months. Extensive promenades are ideal for a relaxing walk or cycle and there are many beachside cafes and bars. For those who enjoy shopping there are excellent facilities at the Dos Mares shopping mall in San Javier providing designer shops, food hall, bowling alley and cinema. All in all the perfect location for the perfect holiday.

Great apartment and great place to stay

Stayed here in the last week of the summer holidays which is our second stay at HR. This apartment is good, a little walk to the pools but it makes it quiet, theres everything you need and don't worry about getting salt, coffee, tea, oil as there's plenty there.

The complex is lovely and very quite, its never been busy when we've been there. there are lots of pools, they have a rule so that there are no sunbeds you have to take the ones from your apartment, this means no sunbed issues but it's a bit of a pain.

The restaurant and bar is good, the staff seem a bit rude but actually they are quite friendly they just always seem busy! Stay off the spirits as they are expensive but the beer is the same price as in the UK. Food is good the tempura vegetables are fantastic but they give you such a big fortion they are a bit sickly.

Great apartment and location

We were looking for an end of summer short break and came across this apartment - what a find!! The apartment is very well maintained and equipped with a choice of swimming pools which meant they were never busy. We are not golfers but it was great fun watching from the balcony - another plus was that the balcony was sunny in the afternoon until the sun went down - great for your early evening drinks. The resort is well maintained and everyone we met was helpful and friendly. We had a car so were able to explore and found everywhere easily accessible. Definitely will be on our list for a return in the future. Thank you.

Great relaxing holiday

We had a great relaxing week at this apartment.Everything was perfect including the weather.The apartment met all our needs and is very well equipped.The air conditioning was much appreciated.The resort is very clean and all the staff were friendly.The mountains that begin across from the entrance to the resort gates are worth a drive through.The beach,20 mins away is beautiful,safe and clean.We also caught a train from Balsicas station, 10 mins away, to Cartagena city.a must to visit.The nearest village Sucina has a lovely square with a few bars and restuarants .The swimming pools on the resort are well cared for.It was lovely sat on the balcony watching the golfers. The apartment has stunning views across the resort and mountains.We have already booked our next stay but we are staying for two weeks next time.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The beautiful beaches of the Mar Menor coast are a 20 minute drive away. The beaches have lovely promenades where you will find cafes/bars. From Los Alcazares beach it is a short walk inland to the town centre. There is a diverse range of water sports available from this coast such as sailing, scuba diving, kite surfing and windsurfing. Santiago de la Ribera has a new promenade, from this resort you can enjoy a ferry trip across the Mar Menor to La Manga.

Travel:

Murcia Airport (Jan Javier) is just a 20 minute drive away.

Alicante Airport approximately 50 minute drive away.

Car hire is essential and cars can be picked up from Murcia or Alicante Airport.

Distances:

The small town of Sucina is a 5 minute drive away where there are shops, bars/cafes etc. The capital city of Murcia is approx. a 30 minute drive away and has a cathedral, historic architecture as well as an abundance of shops. Cartagena, with its Roman history, is a 30 minute drive away. The old city has narrow cobbled streets that link with the more open spaces and modern boutique style shops.

Further Details:

The renovated Hacienda building on the resort houses a bar and restaurant for inside and outside dining, with regular entertainment provided. The town of Sucina (5 mins away) has everything you need to make your stay comfortable, including a pharmacy. Hiring a bicycle is a very good way to familiarise yourself with the resort and to explore the surrounding area.

A deposit of £50 is required to secure a booking, with the balance being paid 4 weeks before departure (or at owners discretion). A fee of 65 euros is payable locally (left in the apartment) to pay for cleaning and laundry on vacating the apartment. A welcome pack can be provided at extra cost, details of which can be provided when booking. We accept payment by cheque, made payable to Mrs J Venn.

The apartment is a short distance from the main entrance to the resort, situated on higher ground with views down the golf course. There is plenty of parking outside as well as the underground dedicated space situated next to the lift shaft. Hacienda Riquelme has a lovely open, peaceful atmosphere. Low density building means all apartments have a golf course view, with the resort being surrounded by open countryside and agricultural land. A large shared swimming pool is a short walk away. There are two sun loungers provided for your use on the balcony. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen included. Towels provided (not beach towels). Apartment cleaned prior to occupation with beds made up Cleaned after vacating with linen and towels laundered, all rubbish removed etc. Payment to be left in apartment on leaving.
