The area is one of the most beautiful in Cyprus. Situated on the edge of the rustic village of Polis, this lovely townhouse is in a truly picturesque and peaceful spot yet only 5 minutes walk into the village centre, 5 minutes drive to the beach and the Akamas countryside is on the doorstep. Indoors the house is exquisitely furnished in contemporary style - with amazing views towards the sea and mountains - and is set amidst a beautiful Mediterranean garden set in bright white gravel with lemon trees, bougainvillea, hibiscus, and much more. Outdoors there's everything you need to enjoy relaxation Cypriot style including a gas BBQ, two patios and a large balcony. Fly screens on all windows means that windows can be left open to allow cooling fresh air to circulate throughout the house. Air con is provided in all three bedrooms at no extra cost. The complex has a communal, heated swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds.

This is quite simply the best accomodation I have ever stayed in. A beautiful house in a stunning location. The house was supremely clean and was equipped to the highest standard.

The house overlooks olive groves and is adjacent to the gardens so there is a gorgeous view whichever way you look.

The house itself has a lovely sun terrace and balcony, is extremely spacious, clean, modern, bright and is beautifully maintained.

Polis itself is an easy walk away and is a super little spot, not at all commercialised, very traditional but with some excellent restaurants and tavernas. If you're looking for night clubs, don't come here. there aren't any!

We will be back.

Well-equipped house - great location

Airy, spacious accommodation, with a lot of thought clearly given to making it feel like home. Kitchen is the best equipped we have found and obviously set up by someone who actually uses one and lovely garden and patio space to side and rear of house. Quiet location, but easy walk into Polis or, if you are lazy, like us, Nissos taxis provides a quick and very reliable run around service, best bit being you never have to wait for more than 5 minutes for taxi to and from anywhere, as far as we could tell. Lovely restaurants and bars in town and large supermarket for all shopping needs, with incredibly helpful help desk ladies. My favourite Cyprus rental so far, by a country mile - we will book again

A lovely home in Polis

We had a wonderful stay at this property in March of this year., it was just as it was described if not better. Arrangements with the owner were easy and everything was clear - so much so we have booked another of his properties for our next holiday.

The house was lovely, very clean and modern with an open plan ground floor, a small garden and every Kitchen item you will ever need! It's in a great location and although we hired a car we walked most places - into town (10mins) and out to Latchi and back several times (about 40mins each way along the coast). The neighbours were friendly and Polis is a lovely little town - it was just waking up from the winter when we were there as it was before Easter but we found plenty of places open. It will be a different place when we return in August I'm sure!

We also drove to some of the Villages around and up to Lysos - Lovely. I would certainly book this property again. We opted not to take the air con as it was early in the season but on hindsight we could have done with it for the heating option! Something to think about if you are booking for the winter.

All in all a fabulous stay and I look forward to the next time.

Hi

The dealings with the owner were easy and everything was updated as he said. The house is beautiful a 10 minute walk outside of Polis. Directions from airport exact and easy to follow. The house was clean and well equipped and for the price excellent value. The only bit I had to sort was the cable TV which you do through the next door neighbour which after consideration didn't need. Would stop there again and recommend to friends

The issue with the tv and WiFi has now been resolved as we have now had our own WiFi installed which is free to all guests. Additionally we have also had an internet tv box installed which gives guests access to many British tv channels including BBC and ITV via the WiFi connection.

Location

From the Owner

We love this property because it is so spacious, light and airy. As it is an end town house we have the added benefit of windows all down one side which give the house so much more light. We are adjacent to the 'green area' a beautiful space which is maintained by a couple of our residents.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Paphos Airport 45 minutes. at 40 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Polis Blue Flag at 2 Kilometres Car: not necessary

Special interest holidays:

You can hire quad bikes and book jeep safaris locally in Polis.

Coast/Beach:

Polis beach is only 15 minutes walk from the house. Well known location for the summer sunsets where the enormous, glowing sun disappears into the sea within minutes of dropping from the sky. Polis Bay itself is stunning with the Akamas Peninsula and Baths of Aphrodite to the West of the house, approx 5 minutes drive away. Pomos Point and harbour to the East is approx 20 minutes drive away. All set with the backdrop of Paphos Forrest and mountains. One mountain bike is provided with the house.

Travel:

Paphos Airport 45 mins. Car Hire or taxi from airport. Car hire not necessary at Polis Village 2 though would need to walk for shopping etc. A brand new, large supermarket has now opened in Polis, about 10 min walk away. Driving in Cyprus is the same as in the UK (on the left).

Distances:

Paphos Town approx 35km. Latchi Marina approx 2km. Baths of Aphrodite approx 4km. Pomos approx 8km.

Near to the village of Polis with its tavernas, restaurants, supermarkets and banks; The house offers an ideal base to explore the best side of Cyprus. Whether it's for a short holiday to sample the flavour of the 'unspoilt' Cyprus or for a longer break to escape the Northern European winter, a stay here will give you a holiday that you won't easily forget. This house has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard and one which reflects an attention to detail. It offers facilities which you would expect to find in the most expensive of properties, yet a stay here will not break the bank. From the large fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine to the leather sofas, breakfast bar with bar stools - nothing has been left to chance. Polis Village nearest for large supermarket, lovely market square, patisseries, fruit markets, banks, ATM machines, chemists, internet cafes, cafe bars, tavernas, museum, garages. Papantonios Supermarket approx 10 minutes walk. St. Barbara Taverna (with internet access, large screen TV and sunbeds on the beach) is approx 10 minutes drive from the house. Cypriot owned, well known and recommended. Excellent Kleftiko and fresh caught fish. For the young and not so young!-Go karting centre 5 mins drive from the house, for DVD hire, go to Polis. Great location for exploring mountain villages and travelling inland to experience the local way of life. Many village festivals throughout the island such as the Agros Rose Festival and Limassol Wine Festival.Polis is located on the stunning Akamas Peninsula and local activities include walking, cycling and bird watching. There are 3 banks (open Mon-Fri 8am - 1pm). A brand new, large supermarket has just opened which will cater for your every need. There are also bakers, local butchers and pharmacies. There is a local hospital with an A and E dept 3-5 mins drive away (if coming from EU country please bring E111 with you, you will receive free health care).

  • Notes on accommodation: Strictly non smoking. Please note pool has no shallow end so may be unsuitable for very young children. The air-conditioning can also be used for heating in cooler months. There is private car parking in the drive. Wi Fi is provided at no extra charge. As the television service in Cyprus is extremely unreliable, access to all British tv programmes is easily obtained using the internet tv system. This will provide BBC, ITV, Channel 5 etc. Outside: Private gardens to three sides with bougainvillea, hibiscus, olive and orange tree. The house is adjacent to the complex gardens. Front patio and large back sun patio with outside dining table and chairs, balcony and gardens mean that sun or shade is available at all times. Ten outdoor hardwood chairs, two sun loungers, three hardwood outside tables outside sofa and armchairs plus gas BBQ are provided for alfresco dining. There is a mountain bike provided for guests. Swimming pool has sun loungers for guest's use. There are showers and changing rooms/toilet provided adjacent to the pool. Utility Room: Washing machine, wc and wash basin, floor units.
