Apartment in Morzine, Haute Savoie, Rhone-Alpes, France - 2 Minute Drive to Morzine

The location allows you to ski right back to the door as the slopes from Nyon now have snow cannons! For keen skiers it enables you to fully maximise your time on the slopes. Next to the Nyon ski and mountain bike cable car there is a lovely walk along the River Drance that leads to Morzine. During the day the apartment is on the shuttle bus service route in the summer for mountain biking/walking and golf holidays/winter seasons skiing, boarding, paragliding etc. Morzine is only 2 mins away by car or a 15 minutes walk. The walk can be by road or along the River Drance down the valley towards Thonon which is ideal for water rafting and hydro speeding enthusiasts. It is at Nyon you will find activities such as cannoning, golfing, mountain biking/walking and the Adventure Park up in the trees next to the Nyon Waterfall! This self catering apartment is great for a winter ski or summer mountaineering and golf holiday. Ideal for families or groups of 4.

About the Owner

We have been delighted with our purchase in Morzine because it is very close to the cable car (2 mins walk)and we can ski back directly to our door when conditions are good. Apartment is very cosy and has views of the Piste and cable car. Good cave for skis and bikes. Secure garage parking. Have owned the apartment for 8 years and all our guests have been delighted with it.

Apartment is clean,warm and comfortable with everything you need.It is a great location next to Nyon lift on the best side of Morzine.The local bar is very friendly and serves good food. The apartment is a little way out of Morzine but don't be put off by the walk (2 mins by car) along the River Drance as it is not as bad as it first seems,about 10mins.Bus service is excellent as always. All in all this is a great value for money apartment and I will definitely be going back.

Loveley apartment with ample space for 4 people and should comfortably suit 5/6. Amazing views and right on the piste for fantastic skiing.Loads of parking and very peaceful area with a short walk to town,great location.Would thoroughly recommend.

l'appartement est calme , agréable et bien agencé. Les chambres en mezzanine sont très cosy. Il manque juste un lave-linge pour les séjours plus longs et un appareil à raclette pour les gourmands!

L'immeuble est idéalement situé au pied la piste bleue qui descend du plateau de Nyon et tout près du départ du télécabine, en pleine nature et au départ de jolies promenades .

Bref, à recommander!

Great holiday lovely place

Hiya

Just returned from a weeks holiday here and had a great time, morzine is a beautiful place and this apartment was just what we needed. Good access to all the slopes from here with the free bus service just beside the apartments and access to nyon is just a short walk up the hill. It is also beautiful but mayb for more experienced skiers. You should also try visit a lovely bar called La Marmotte d'Or just outside of morzine in a place called montriond. It has live music on Tuesday nights and a free shuttle service home which is great considering how pricey taxis are in morzine.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking time to respond. We are not aware of this bar so we will try it out! Also, some lovely restaurants up in the goat village up the the slopes in Montriond . Wonderful in the summer for boating,walking and swimming etc

Location, location for skiing. Very peaceful. Loads of parking. 10 mins from town walking along the river or 2 mins by car to supermarket!

10 mins walk along The Dranse River to Morzine Town Centre.

2 mins drive.

Further Details:

Morzine is a picturesque town, and is situated in the French Alpine region of the Haute-Savoie. Unlike many ski resorts, Morzine retains all the charm and culture of the farming town that it once was making it the perfect place to take your ski holidays. The apartment is 2 minutes by car to the centre of town (Town Hall and Dixie Bar!).

In the winter, the Pleney Stade piste is lit up at night once a week for evening skiing and sledging. The indoor ice rink is open to the public and also holds ice hockey matches every week. There are two cinemas which play English films in the winter, and an Olympic -sized open air swimming pool open in the summer. The Portes du Soleil is the largest linked ski area in the world, and is made up of 12 French and Swiss resorts. It boasts some 650km of piste in winter, as well as lift access to over 380km of marked mountain bike and hiking trails in the summer. Local activities include sailing, water skiing, diving, roller blading, swimming, cycling, fishing, paragliding.

No need to wait for buses just walk up to cable car which only takes 2mins from apartment if you are fit! Very quiet top floor apartment. Balcony overlooking ski run home. Very cosy and Alpine feel.
