Overview

Description

Old House, 3 bedrooms, sleeps 6/8, 1 bath, 1 shower

Old House dates back to the 13th century and is renovated to a very high standard with wooden floors and under floor heating throughout. Granite steps lead you up to the front door and then into the large open plan first floor living area with high-beamed ceilings, chandelier and imposing fireplace with log burner. At the other end of the floor, you’ll find a large luxury kitchen/diner fitted with everything you need for fabulous home cooking. A utility room with washing machine, dryer and loo, separates the two areas.

A wooden spiral staircase leads downstairs to 2 king size bedrooms and 1 twin, a bathroom with roll top bath, limestone floors and a wet room containing a wooden arch which was of interest to the museum of Cornwall.

Outside, a hedge first seen in a gold winning garden at Chelsea, encloses the house, while the lawn runs down to a small stream. And if that isn’t enough, there is also the 12 acres of grounds and woods for walks and adventures.

About the property

E725

Nestled in 12 acres of land this medieval farming hamlet of 3 ancient farm buildings, now renovated to a high standard with a mixture of antique and contemporary furniture, the houses offer great holidays for those looking for the perfect peaceful retreat to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Children love the 12 acres of land with fields woods orchard and a stream, they build dens, play hide and seek in the woods and come home with rosy cheeks and hearty appetites. Surrounded by fields full of lambs, woods filled with bluebells where you can take a picnic and sit under the tress listening to bird and the wind sing their songs. In summer the fields are full of hay bales and the hedgerows full of blackberries. In Autumn watch the leaves turn golden, brown and red with berries that you can lay your Halloween Pumpkin on. After a brazing winter walk on the cliffs come back to a log fire and all the home comforts. Enjoy the natural beauty of Cornwall with all the luxury.
