We had a truly wonderful holiday - everything about it was superb.

The pool was fantastic and clean (the pool team arrived on the day we came to ensure it was clean)

The views from the balcony were incredible - we will never forget them.

The garden was in good shape although the lawn could have been mowed before we arrived but it didn't deter our enjoyment of the outside area. We really enjoyed the BBQ facilities too!

The villa was clean upon arrival so we were happy about that and the villa worked very well indeed.

Nothing to complain about - we truly had a super time!

Thank you very much and we have recommended the villa to a number of friends already! We hope to be back soon!

Lovely peaceful villa with a beautiful pool

We absolutely loved our stay in this villa and would definitely recommend it to our friends and family. The villa and pool are just as they are presented in the photos, with both being exceptionally clean. The pool, garden and patio areas are beautiful and peaceful, a great place to relax. We all loved the pool, especially our children who would have stayed in all the time if they had their way.

The villa is well equipped with all you could need and the views are really lovely. Our favourite were the mountains behind the villa.

The location is ideal if you prefer a bit of quiet away from things and we easily walked to Kefalas with our young children where the taverna and shop are great.

There are lots of interesting places to visit nearby so there's plenty to do if you don't want to spend all the time in the pool.

The owners were really helpful answering our queries before going and provide great directions to get to the villa.

Overall a fabulous place to stay and we definitely hope to return soon.

The place to be ...

Als ervaren huurders bij Owner's Direct hadden we het geluk alweer een prachtige locatie te ontdekken ditmaal een exclusieve villa in Kefalas. Het machtig, weids uitzicht over de zee, in combinatie met de witte bergen is inderdaad stunning! De stilte: onvergetelijk. De tuin oogt exotisch en is perfect onderhouden. Het zwembad: zalig om te dobberen en weg te dromen in het vergezicht over zee, een frisse verkoeling op deze mooie dagen.

De accommodatie is uitstekend en netjes onderhouden. Overal is er airco. De keuken is goed uitgerust. De buitenkeuken met de BBQ is ook handig. Grillen met op de achtergrond het gerinkel van de geitebellen: grappig.

Het hartelijke welkom- team Teresa en Mike begeleide ons bij aankomst en waren bereikbaar als we ze nodig hadden. Ze passeerden een keer heel snel voor een probleempje met de wifi.

Het dorpje Kefalas is een rustige oase waar de nodige essentiële bevoorrading kan gebeuren. Er zijn 2 restaurants die elk hun specialiteiten hebben. Hier proef je de Kretenzische sfeer het best. De contacten met de eigenaar Mr Logan verliepen ook in een aangename sfeer. Hij is duidelijk iemand die zeer nauwlettend toekijkt of zijn gasten het volledig naar wens hebben. Dit is een super adres waar wij alvast terugkeren!

A great villa in a nice and quiet location

We very much enjoyed our stay at the villa, we found the villa to be well appointed, having absolutely everything that we needed for our stay. A particular plus of the villa was the pool and both of our boys had this most amazing time, often playing from morning until night.

The location of the villa was perfect for us, balancing a very relaxing quiet retreat, but yet being close enough to the main roads to allow us to explore the local surrounding areas. We really liked how it had a really ‘local’ feeling, being a short journey from Kafalas, yet close enough to the more touristy resort of Georgioupoli.

We didn’t have any reason to call the welcome team during our stay, so I couldn’t comment on this aspect, but the directions and access to the villa was absolutely perfect and made our arrival and departure from the villa very simple.

The perfect place for families to stay and unwind.

Peace & quiet

The villa is very pretty in a lovely setting with pretty shrubs and a pool at the front. Views are stunning as everyone else has stated. The drive way or farmers track which you needed to drive up and down to get to the villa is over 1 kilometre long and not just gravel, there are big stones jutting out of the drive and even with driving at 5 miles per hour you are shaken around and the bottom of your car is scraped! Due to the poor condition of the drive way or farmers track we did not walk into Kefalas at night, however, during the day in daylight with walking boots on it is a 20 minutes walk at a good pace.

We agree with the other review that it is a shame about the poor condition of the drive way/farmers track.

We do not agree with the description of a less than 15 min walk into Kefalas.

The property was clean upon arrival, however, we had expected clean towels etc during our 2 week stay and was disappointed when we found out that this was available only at an extra charge.

We were also disappointed with the 'welcome team'. We never saw them during our stay & when we had a power cut during a storm at 11am we had to text them several times to find out what was happening and eventually they came out around 7.30pm to look into it for us. By which time the power supply had been resumed in the area. I guess it depends on what you expect from a 'welcome team'! We expected them to keep us informed of the power cut situation as we sat in the villa all day without electricity.

The two tavernas in Kefalas are excellent. Our favourite was the Meterizi which offered very good food at very affordable prices. You can get a lovely meal there for around EUR's 45.00 with wine for 4 people. There are a number of lovely beaches nearby with good tavernas too for an afternoon snack or a bigger meal if you desired.

Owner's Response: The last length of road the Guests are referring to is a dirt track which is a Public road, and does not belong to the villa. It is a bumpy road and it depends how fast you want to drive in bumpy road to get shaken. We have been having this villa since 2008 and we never came across a situation where the bottom of the car gets damaged by driving through this dirt track. There are few stones here and there but to be honest that it is not an issue to drive 5 minutes in this dirt track to get to a stunning secluded private villa which is situated in the middle of a 1500 sqm land. When you arrive to the villa you will have a full set of new clean bed linens, bath towels etc. If you are staying more than 7 nights and if you need additional cleaning and additional bed linens and bath towels then like what it says on the website mid-week cleaning or additional bed linens will be provided with Travellers request however there will be an additional charge for the number of cleaning required. The Villa has washing machine, dish washer etc so the Travellers have the option of paying more money for their holiday to get additional cleaning or take care of the villa themselves. Welcome team will be present on your arrival however it depends of your arrival time. The Villa key is accessible by the Traveller and our welcome team will not provide villa key. The welcome team live 10 minutes’ drive distance and we have instructed them not to visit to the villa when it is in occupation by Travellers unless the Travellers need their help. This is to provide Travellers to enjoy privacy and peaceful relaxation in the villa. Again it depends on what the entire Travellers expect from our workers. There was a power cut in the village around midday on the 21/09/15. We feel very sad that Guests are not happy after I, myself as the owner of the villa personally communicated about this power cut. I can send our email communication as evidence to show that we take very serious view of any power cut, water cut or thunderstorm etc. Hopefully this power cut will not happen again during your stay in our villa. Best view ever!

We all (a family of five, children 9, 12 and 14 years) had a fantastic time. The pool and garden are beautiful ( best place for a sun lounger under the palm trees!) and the view from the balconies over the sea and mountains is fantastic. The next village Kefalas has a few small shops and two excellent tavernas. The gravel road to the villa is a bit of an uncomfortable drive, but it's not long and one is rewarded at arrival with a fantastic place to stay! We very much hope to come back some day!

Owner's Response: The Gravel Road (Dirt track) is the last bit of the road leading to the Stunning villa. You will reach the villa within 5 minutes once you are in this Dirt track. This is a public road. It is very uncomfortable if you drive faster than 5 to 10 miles per hour on this road. As the above review says, after driving in this uncomfortable Dirt track for 5 minutes, once you reach the villa you are in a beautiful environment with serenity and tranquillity. Villa with stunning Sea and Mountain views

We had a wonderful week’s holiday in this lovely Villa. The Villa itself was of fairly modern build and was very clean throughout with a fantastic Infinity pool that we used daily; the large garden provides ample shade and has seating in the shade. The views from the bedroom terraces were breathtaking, be it the mountains at the rear of the Villa or the sea to the front of the Villa. The Villa was off the beaten track but was in such a peaceful location and was very close to the local village of Kefalas where we regularly ate at one of the excellent restaurants near the village square. The extensive patio area beside the pool allowed us to follow the shade or sun as we wished. The BBQ house situated adjacent to the pool area was excellent and well equipped.

There are several small villages close by that are well worth exploring and a variety of local restaurants that serve good food at very reasonable prices.

The Villa booking process was effortless and the details provided by both the owner and the welcome team made for a memorable holiday.

In summary, I would recommend this Villa to anyone who likes the quietness of Crete and wants to enjoy the peace and tranquility of a beautiful Villa location with stunning views looking out to sea.

Famous beach resorts nearby are Georgioupoli 10 mins drive, Almirida 15 mins drive, Kalives 15 mins drive, Lake Kourna 15 mins drive.


Car use is essential. Bike hire is available at Georgioupoli.

Two main airports service area - Chania Airport 30 to 45 mins drive from villa. Heraklion Airport 1 and half to 2 hrs drive from villa. Ports in Souda Bay 30 mins drive from villa.


A great variety of villages of interest are within very short distances, 10 to 30 minutes drive away - Gavalohori, Aptera, Kokhino Hori, Drapanos, ect.

Vamos, 10 mins drive, benefits from a 24hr Health Centre, many taverns to eat and drink.

Further Details:

Kefalas itself has several tavernas and small supermarkets/shops. Neighbouring villages, Selia, Litsarda, Xerosteni, etc. also provide tavernas. Vamos is the largest town close to villa. It has banks, 24hr Medical Centre, bakery, butchers, grocery shops and many tavernas. Vamos- Take a walking tour to see the local traditional architecture.

3) You can make payments to UK bank account in Sterling or Crete bank account in Euros. And also you can choose to pay in to our Paypal account.
4) Any bank charges or Paypal charges are not included in the total price.

6) If you choose to pay in sterling currency, please contact the owner for England bank account details.
7) If you are paying in Sterling currency then the owner will inform you the currency exchange rate.

9) WiFi Internet connection will be provided with your request and there will be a additional charge of €30.00 for 7 nights. We provide limited down load of 5GB WiFi internet for 07 nights. If you are booking for 14 nights then we provide 10GB limited down load.

This Villa has a stunning sea view and white mountain views. You can enjoy this views either from the swimming pool or the Villa balconies. Other unique feature of the Villa is that you get balcony for each bed room allowing all guests to enjoy the stunning view from the bed.The Villa is situated in the middle of 1500 sq.mt. land and this land is fully secured by stone wall which gives the complete security and allow the children to freely move around the Villa Garden. The Villa garden has plenty of Olive trees, Palm trees, Apple trees, Pear trees, Plum tree, Apricot tree, Fig tree, Pomegranate tree, Grape tree. The infinity swimming pool has large green grass area with 03 Palm Trees. This Palm Trees give you the opportunity to hide away from the hot sun. These shadow area has sun bed and chairs.
