Pretty villa, landscaped gardens, 10 minutes walk to beach

The houses are located in a quiet, private estate, with a communal swimming pool. The dwellings in Pueblo Andaluz are built in a traditional style with a profusion of magnificent flowers, shrubs and palm trees. The nearest beach (Burriana) is about 5-7 minutes walk and the town centre is about 10 minutes away on foot. There are 3 houses available, Nos. 4, 5 and 135 Pueblo Andaluz. Nos. 4 and 5 have roof terraces, but No. 135 has a large balcony on the upper floor at the front of the house. This latter house is slightly larger than the other two.

Beautiful Nerja

My wife and I recently stayed in No 5, we arrived at lunchtime the villa was being cleaned so we left our cases inside and walked to the beach for lunch. The villa is as it says on a very pretty complex within 10 minutes walking distance from the centre of Nerja, beach and supermarkets. The villa had a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, cooker and microwave. We enjoyed many a lunch and dinner on the roof terrace, stairs to which may be a bit steep for the elderly or infirm. On arrival we found that the television wasn't working so we got in touch with the managing agents and they fixed it the very next day. The owner gave excellent customer service via emails and answered any questions we had before we travelled out. The pool area is pleasant and lovely and warm, due to it being a private complex no sunbeds. We overcame this by using the sun-loungers from the roof terrace, just carried them down to the pool area when we needed them. There is lots to see and do from Tapas bars to visiting mountain villages, caves, or simply just wondering the lanes of the town. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday and most certainly hope to return to one of Mary's three villas.

Ideal location

A lovely 2 bedroom house on a very conveniently located Andalusian style complex. The house (No. 5) was clean and tidy when we arrived and had everything we needed, comfortable beds and furniture, all necessary kitchen equipment and also including Wi-Fi access and TV with all the main UK channels.

Situated less than 10 minutes walk from Burriana beach and a similar distance from Nerja town centre - ideal for breakfasts, coffees and evening meals in the vast choice of cafes and restaurants and great for late night shopping.

Alternatively, a Spar supermarket just over the road and a larger supermarket 2 minutes drive away make it well placed for self-catering and the lovely roof terrace with a dining table and chairs overlooking the pleasant courtyard is a great place to eat and relax.

Very good communication from the owner, Mary Barford, and good value for money.

All very highly recommended and we hope to stay there again next year.

Perfect Location

We stayed in no 135, the slightly larger house on the road. The house was very clean and comfortable and fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Despite its road position there were no real issues with traffic noise and it was lovely sitting on the upstairs balcony with a jug of Sangria people watching in the evening.

Both the upstairs bathroom and downstairs shower room have excellent showers with good pressure and were very well presented. Pricing was very reasonable and when we did have a problem (no fault of the house or owners) the customer service from both the owner and agent was first class.

The house was 10 mins walk down to Burriana beach which is lovely, with a great range of restaurants, and 10 mins from the town centre and the Balcon de Europa.

All in all highly recommended for a clean, comfortable family holiday in an ideal position for both town and beach.

I have stayed on this complex before and the house is ideally situated for Nerja town centre. There was internet tv but no internet. I ended up hiring an internet dongle from the town Centre (Nerja Wifi). The property did not have any sunbeds but there were sun loungers for the patio and the roof terrace. Not ideal for younger children. The stairs up to the roof terrace were quite steep so not good for anyone who is not very good on their legs. My mum had to stay downstairs on the patio. This house was excellent value for money the kitchen could do with updating but it had a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, cooker and toaster. I would definitely stay in this property again. The only negative thing I could say was that there was only door to the property and we only had one set of keys for this door, so when my daughter went out in the evening I had the choice to either stay up until she came back or let her lock me in (which I did not feel was safe in case of fire). The owner could do with getting an extra set of keys to resolve this issue.

There is a Spar shop just over the road from the property and another bigger shop just around the corner. There are Bakers, Fruit and Veg and Butcher shops within a 5 minute walk and numerous small bars.

We visited Nerja in the early 1990's and were captivated by this beautiful, unspoilt, town. The surrounding areas have something for everyone. If you like the hustle and bustle of a typical Andalucian town, then Nerja is for you, but if you prefer the solitude of the mountains, there is easy access by car or bus to places like Frigiliana and Granada.

As one approaches Nerja along the A340 the scenery becomes more and more stunning as the Sierra de Tejeda Mountains appear in the distance. The whole area is of great natural beauty, and Nerja is sheltered by these Mountains which give it a tropical climate. The town itself has many excellent restaurants of all nationalities and the Spanish Tapas bars have a wide choice of delicious local specialities. Nerja is a wonderful place to be based for visiting areas such as Granada, with its legendary Alhambra Palace, Ronda, Seville, etc. A few kilometres into the mountains there is the lovely white, Moorish, village of Frigiliana with its houses cascading down the hillside. Another place to visit is the Cueva de Nerja, which has only been discovered relatively recently. This fantastic grotto supposedly has the longest stalactite in the world - the caves have artistic lighting and are used for opera, ballet and orchestral concerts featuring renowned stars.

The properties are very conveniently situated, with easy access to Burriana beach and the centre of town. The Balcon de Europa is a wonderful place to stand, or sit, and enjoy the gorgeous mountain views, beaches and the sea. There are many extremely good restaurants at prices to suit everyone, and some of the tapas bars will give you tasty morsels when you buy a drink.
