Modern open plan property, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom (3 wcs, inc 1 en suite) fully furnished to a high standard with brand new kitchen with chrome finish appliances, inc dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, leather sofas, and glass topped dining table with dark chocolate leather chairs. Master bdroom with king size double bed, and en-suite, and private balcony with stunning sea views, built-in wardrobes, one twin bdroom with two beds, also with built-in wardrobes and with private balcony offering views over fields towards the hilltops, and one single bdroom, all with air con; family bathroom, Patio with 5 chairs and large table within enclosed private garden leads directly to shared pool (heated in April and October) with its own changing facilities, as well as outdoor pool showers. A fence and gate add security for little ones regarding pool area access. This house is available from April 2015 for medium-long term lets only (ie over 3 months).

About the owners. We live in England with our 3 children but like to travel when we can. We fell in love with Cyprus when we first visited in 2005, and particularly like the friendliness of the local people - the Greek Cypriots and British immigrants - and the village of Tala and its surrounding area of Paphos.

Why Ewan Pearson chose Tala

We bought here because of the area and the house itself: We love Tala because of the climate and fantastic views from is setting partway up the hill from the coast. We're above the humidity line below which holidays can be uncomfortably humid. There are some beautiful beaches and Paphos marina boasts a great range of restaurants. The lanes around the village have groves of lemon trees, olives, and banana plantations. The village has cafes and restaurants and even an art gallery. There really is something for everyone here. Tala is easily accessible from Paphos airport less than 30 minutes' drive away.

What makes this house unique

The house: The house is set on the edge of the village so has really fresh air and is quietly relaxing yet its not far by car from the fabulous Coral Bay beach or the bustle of Paphos. The pool is at the end of the garden, has showers and lavatory facilities. The car parks up right by the door to the kitchen and the house is fitted out with smart but comfortable furniture. The TV has satellite and DVD facilities and the BBQ goes well with the patio and outdoor seating sipping on drinks as the warm sun goes goes down. Hot showers and baths are solar heated, and the air-conditioning keeps you cool when needed in summer (and warm in the short winter).

Notes on accommodation: The townhouse is tiled throughout. It is also fully air conditioned, which may be operated by individual remote controls for downstairs as well as for each bedroom upstairs for that optimum temperature. There are also sliding fly screens on all windows and doors except for the front door, and the smallest windows (4). Guests with young children can request a stairgate, cot and highchair by arrangement at extra cost if they like - just let the owners know. Internet access is wireless and is available by phoning local provider City Cell on +357 25 100 999 payable by credit card. Outside: Patio with plants, BBQ, large round table and 5 stylish chairs within enclosed private courtyard-style garden leads down a few steps directly to a gate with access to the shared pool. The pool area has its own seperate private male and female changing facilities including shower and WC, available for guests, shared among us and only 11 other properties in the development. There are also sun loungers and parasols available for use and the pool and communal area are lit at dusk. Please note use of the pool and communal area is at your own risk, and you should check you are fully covered under your travel insurance policy. Children should always be supervised. At the entrance to the property there is a private parking area for the townhouse that could take up to 2 cars. Utility Room: Washing machine, iron, ironing board, clothes dryer, laundry basket, broom, dustpan and brush, mop. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included. The property is cleaned and the towels and linen are changed once a week. More frequent cleaning and/or towels and linen changes may be requested at extra cost. We provide separate blue towels for use with the pool. Other: Lounge leads through sliding glass doors onto a patio with a large round table and stylish chairs that overlook the private garden, down across the shared pool and out to the Mediterranean Sea. A lovely house in a quiet area with beautiful views down to the sea. The house is v.well equipped.

Three bedrooms, two doubles and one single were pretty spacious and each double has a balcony with superb views. The main bedroom has an en suite, and the other bedrooms share a main bathroom with bath and shower. The patio is well positioned looking down on the pool, and we had a couple of lovely charcoal fired barbecues sitting out there watching the sun go down over the sea.

The dining area is very smart and the kitchen has everything that we needed. The sitting area is very comfortable and the TV has DVD, Internet and UK programmes available. The wifi works well with an extension to boost the signal stairs.

the weather was gorgeous if you like it north of 30degrees, but house has 4 air cons, and a fan to keep us cool. We visited the awesome Last Castle restaurant up on the Akamas peninsula, past St Georges, and also went to Paphos harbour where there were lots of great restaurants selling fresh fish and sea food right be the pretty harbour. Chloes Chinese restaurant was also lovely.

Special interest holidays:

We recently found an English lady nearby who can teach adults and children to do sculpture - a very pleasant half day introduction for starters, with a tangible result, and ongoing classes for those more serious.


The sandy beach of Coral Bay is also an 8 minute drive away. The charming old Cypriot village of Tala (15 minute walk) has plenty of character, not to mention a choice of friendly bars and restaurants and small supermarkets. The main town of Paphos is a 10 minute drive away and has a large selection of shops including some British department stores and new shopping mall The Kings Mall.


Paphos International Airport (opened November 2008) is a 30 min drive and Larnaca is approx 1 hour 45 mins on the motorway. It is also possible to fly to Limassol and to then travel by road to Paphos and on to Tala. The owners use Andrews Car Rentals, and there are also other international car rental sites available in Cyprus. has announced a new route from Paphos to Glasgow, bringing the number of routes from Cyprus to the UK up to seven. We advise you always check first.


Tala village is 3 minutes drive or approx a 15 minute walk.

Coral Bay beach and village is 8-10 minute drive.

Paphos town is a 10 minute drive, 15 minutes to the very picturesque harbour area.

Two large supermarkets are about a 10 minute drive.

Polis/Latchi area in the north is about 30 minutes drive.

Further Details:

Panoramic views to the sea and mountain. Small peaceful development on edge of pretty Tala village. The nearest cashpoint is at the Co-op Bank just near Tala's high street - 2 minutes drive, or Alpha Bank down the hill at Kissonerga, about a 5 minute drive. A car is generally recommended for getting around in Cyprus, but not essential as taxi hire can be arranged for airport collection and drop off, shopping trips, sight seeing, etc. Further details available on request. There is a very relaxed atmosphere in this part of Cyprus helped especially by driving on the left, familiar looking road signs, and the same 3 pin plugs for the electrical sockets as in the UK. Tala is also elevated so that it enjoys not only fantastic views of the coast but catches the sea breezes and also enjoys less humidity.
