About Jean-Pierre Metz

I immediately fell in love with Provence in 1989, when I went for a university training north of Avignon. I came back on a regular basis, and after a while I decided to move from Paris, where I used to live at that time, to Porvence. I decided to choose a village like La Motte d'Aigues, because I grew up in a small village in Alsace and the wine region of the Luberon kept me somehow in contact with my natal region.

I lived for ten years in the villa. During these ten year, I modified and improved the villa to bring it to a high standard of living.

With my wife Sylvie, we still keep on spending week ends and some of our holidays in the villa.

Why Jean-Pierre Metz chose La Motte-d'Aigues

I decided to buy a property in the little village of La Motte d'Aigues, because it is one of those real villages in Provence where you simply enjoy life. The surrounding of the villa is just outstanding. One can easily go for a walk in the mountain of the Luberon, just from the villa.

On the other hand, the property is not far away from modern life.

It is very easy to reach the villa either by car, by train with the TGV in Aix en Provence or by plane from Marseille airport.

What makes this villa unique

I used to live in the property for 10 years, and I remodeled the house itself, added a pool. I still keep on investing money on a regular basis, in order to take into account our guests comments. It is important for us to have our guests to spend a very relaxing holiday.

We had a lovely holiday. It is very nicely situated in a quite area but close to 2 villages. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and there are lots of interesting places to visit. Very well equipped and clean. The pool very nice and secure for children. A great place to stay

A beautiful property in a quiet and peaceful location. It gave us the perfect opportunity to relax together as a family in a real home from home. Close location to many of the picturesque towns and fantastic countryside of Provence made it a perfect location to go exploring safe in the knowledge we could always return to the wonderful pool

In a quiet environment, it is a very well equipped villa. The closed garden and spacious, was very popular with our children, not to mention the pool. The terrace is very large and can combine sun and shade. We had a great stay in the Pays d'Aigues and particularly enjoyed visiting villages and castles. Strong recommendations

Notes on accommodation: The villa is great for a family who needs to relax. Outside: With its 10m x 5m private swimming pool and fence system, your villa sleeps 6. It stands on 3,650 sq.m. (almost an acre) of enclosed, private land near the village. You can relax on the spacious 80 sq.m. terrace, 35 sq.m. of it shaded by roofing. Utility Room: washing machine available in the garage Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and facecloths are supplied but towels for the pool are not provided. The villa must be left clean and tidy before departure. If necessary, a percentage of the deposit will be kept in order to cover the household expenses. Other: Tourist tax to be added An unlimited DSL Internet connexion with WIFI is also provided. Sorry not pets
