Information book at Tymeg for local attractions/events, home delivery take aways, restaurants, markets, taxi's, maps, etc. Swimming pool 10 min stroll away, (small charge) open in Spanish school holidays. The local, blue flag beach is very safe for children, very shallow, no tide. There are many beach bars, cafes along the beach, also pedal boats to hire. Cot and high chair hire is available (payable locally). 10 minute stroll to the popular Plaza where you will find many fine restaurants/bars

Local activities include Cycling, Fishing, Golf, Mountain Biking, Sailing, Horse Riding, Swimming, Tennis, Walking, Water Skiing, and Wind Surfing, Roller Blading. Cycles can be hired locally for a small fee.

Coast/Beach:

The Mar Manor is a clean, clear salt water lagoon with a average temperature of 5 degrees above the Mediterranean. At it's coolest it is 12oc, in summer will reach 30oc. There are many cafes/bars dotted along it's shores with beautiful sandy beaches combed daily, making it a ideal family location. Water sports are available, and pedal boats for hire. The beach is 'blue flagged' and is extremely safe for children, soft sand, very shallow water, and no tide.

Travel:

The main airport for feeding this area is Murcia airport at San Javier. It is only a small airport but has plenty of cheap airlines operating from it. The distance from airport to villa is only 4 mins. Alicante would be the other alternative which is up the coast about 50 mins drive away, duel carriageway all the way.

Car hire would be recommended for this holiday, alternatively there are plenty of taxis available if you don't wish to drive.

Distances:

'Tymeg' is only 4 mins drive from Murcia airport, making your transfer very short! There are no flights after 10pm so the area is not noisy.

There are many coastal villages close by, including San Javier, Los Alcazares, Santiago Del La Ribeira, Lo Pagan, to name a few.

The city of Cartagena, a navel port, is only 20 mins drive away. La Manga sports complex is one of the best of it's kind in the world, and is only 20 mins drive away.

Los Narejos is located next to the shores of the Mar Manor in the region of Murcia. The coastline of the Mar Manor stretches from Los Narejos to Punta Brava.

There are many bars and cafes along the beach and its beautiful promenade, providing a host of food, tapas, meals and snacks/drinks, and a abundance of local caught seafood.

The promenade has a cycle path, seating areas, and small children's play areas.

The Costa Calida enjoys an average of 320 days of sunshine each year. The average temperature of the Mar Manor is 5 degrees above that of the Mediterranean. This area is not like the Costa del Sol, everything is there, but not in your face.

Outside: To the front of the property is a large safe open air patio area with table/chairs, large parasol, BBQ, comfy sun loungers, outside light, ideal for alfresco eating. The roof terrace provides private sun bathing, a cold shower for those really hot days! 4 sun loungers. Utility Room: Washing machine housed outside in enclosed cupboard. Home from home

First of all this property is exactly as described. Speaking from experience of having stayed in many rentals in this area this is way and beyond the nicest, best, well equipped. Every small detail has been thought of and lo and behold a tattie masher, we normally have to use an empty wine bottle as this is the one thing that can't be bought in the Chinese supermarkets!! Without fail we have always had to buy kitchen utensils of some sort because they are lacking in the property. Also the house was very clean on our arrival obviously down to Mandy the keyholder. Owners Barry and Julie are very helpful and have already booked for a longer stay next year, that speaks for itself as we have never done that before. Would def recommend.

Winter Break

Very comfortable and relaxing accommodation, clean and well maintained excellent new kitchen fully equipped lacking nothing , which makes a change.Listing and pictures are accurate and the property is very clean and well presented.

Quite street with easy walk to both beach and supermarkets choice of three,plenty of restaurants within easy walking , also lots of good Spanish restaurants in the old town a short drive worth a visit.

Good service from Barry & Julie on booking as it was winter lovely extra blankets left out for the beds, locally Mandy was very helpful.

great property.

we really enjoyed our stay at tymeg, the property is in a great location & fantastically finished.

there really are no negative points i can think of.

we have stayed in similar properties before, and whilst their was nothing wrong with them, the alterations made to tymeg really make a difference.

the standard kitchens in these style of house dont really offer ideal working space, but the extension at tymeg eliminates this issue completely, and frees up more space for dining.

another thing that stood out was the steps onto the fantastic roof terrace have been altered & made more shallow. while this may seem insignificant, i imagine it would make life easier for older visitors, or those with restricted mobility.

the kitchen extension & alterations to the staircase have come at the expense of some outside space, but the property still has more than enough, both the roof terrace & front veranda are pleasant places to dine, relax & enjoy a glass or two.

A perfect quiet location for relaxing

We arrived late in the evening fresh from Alicante airport.and were met by Mandy who provided us with a fantastic meet and greet welcome. Tymeg is a family holiday retreat that has been tastefully refurbished to a very high standard. The kitchen and bathroom were perfect for our needs. We were able to take advantage of the barbecue on the front porch area and used the roof solarium to take advantage of the February sunshine.

Barry, the owner was able to provide guidance prior to our visit which was invaluable and we recommend that visitors make themselves familiar with the area by using google maps and using the wifi available at the house.

We had an opportunity to take long walks along the Mar Menor which is a few minutes away and visit Cartegena for a quick cultural experience. For those of you who need a shopping fix there is always Dos Mares or Zenia Boulavard!

We liked the area so much we are buying a house around the corner from Tymeg!!

Relaxing Family Holiday

We have just returned from a fantastic 2 week holiday at Tymeg. We were met by Mandy (key holder) at the airport who provide a car seat for my 3 year old son. At the villa she showed us round and how everything worked. It was really clean and truly does have everything you could possibly need, the extra umbrella's for the beach were a god send to provide extra shade for my son. Like it says it is a short walk to all amenities, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, the beach and Market which is on every Saturday. It really is a home away from home and I would definitely consider going back again.

Perfect relaxing golfing holiday

We've just had a lovely relaxing week in this villa which is in a great quiet location but only a short walk from lots of nice restaurants and bars. There are also several supermarkets within walking distance. The villa is very well equipped with comfortable areas both inside and outside the villa with a large front patio and a roof solarium. We are keen golfers and chose not to take our own clubs this time, instead hiring clubs from Roda golf (booking direct with Roda golf in advance meant that we got a great deal for three rounds each including buggy and club hire). This eliminated the need to hire a car for us as everything is quite close by. The golf club is a 25 minute walk away but a taxi was only €7 if you prefer not to walk - we chose to walk most of the time stopping for a cold beer in the bar situated between the villa and the club! The beach is also only a short walk away with several bars/snack bars. Barry was very easy and a pleasure to deal with throughout the booking process. Mandy who looks after the villa locally was extremely helpful and ensured the villa was very clean and tidy for our arrival. All in all we had a great time here and we would certainly recommend this villa for a relaxing holiday. Thank you Barry & Julie
