Villa Nr. Sa Pobla, Pollenca, North Mallorca, Balearic Islands - Views Of The Mountains And Surrounding Villages Very Private And Quiet Easy Access To Seaside Resort

The villa was built to our design with a feature tower copying the local water towers to allow the property to be comfortable in it's country setting, it is in the middle of four acres and very secluded, quiet and private. Views of the mountains and surrounding villages are all around yet it is in easy reach of motorway to Palma and airport just 35 mins drive. Llubi,Sa Pobla and Muro have a railway station with a regular service to Palma,short drive to Pollenca. There are three large supermarkets and several good restaurants and bars, a central square in the centre of the village with free concerts througout the summer, a large street market on Sundays and is a typical Mallorqan Village. Nearby beaches are Port Pollenca, Alcudia, Cala St Vicente and golf courses at Pollenca and Alcanada. The pool is depth marked, with large terraces and sunbeds, extensive lawns and Mediterranean gardens, we offer our villa to you, to enjoy and relax in.we have added an outside BBQ and eating area this year which has replaced a dead palm tree ( a sad loss) but a good replacement. Please see the pictures !!! Also a table tennis table but you will need your own bats and balls !!! This is on the terrace and can be moved outside (carefully) !!! Thankyou

My husband and I designed and built the villa ,there were just almond trees on the plot originally,we have left them on the part of the garden not landscaped! We built the villa big enough to accommodate our large family and growing number of grandchildren but as yet they don't seem to be putting it to much use and as we are retired now we use the villa during the year when schools are not on holiday so it makes sense to not leave it empty during these popular times, it was designed for our large family and so far we have been told that the pictures don't do it justice,which is lovely to hear.

Why june russell chose Sa Pobla

Sa Pobla is a very Spanish town,not a tourist trap,our villa is in the country with far reaching views to the mountains and surrounding villages, yet easy reach to the sea,with all the lovey beaches to be found in the north of the island and very easy access to the motorway to the airport and Palma. We also now have a station which trains that take you to the centre of Palma with no parking charges at the station! It is the ideal spot for a relaxing holiday.

What makes this villa unique

While at the villa, you can experience complete peace and quiet even in the peak season or make as much noise as you like without anyone near enough to complain.

Special interest holidays:

The area is very popular with cyclists and although this does not appeal to me, the surrounding countyside and neighbouring villages are all very pretty and interesting, and previous holidaymakers I know have rented bikes locally,the surrounding countryside is both very pretty and flat in the main which makes very good cycling.There are stables opposite the main driveway where you can organize rides in the countryside ,very popular with children.

Coast/Beach:

Port Pollenca, 20 mins drive, lovely sandy beaches, large marina, good restaurants, market on Wednesdays. Port Alcudia, 15 mins drive lovely sandy beaches, large marina, ideal for children. Cala St Vicente 20 mins drive lovely bays with sandy beaches, restaurants, one of my favourites.Can piccafort has the largest resort of hotels, restaurants and a very long sandy beach that is very safe for children, there is a picture of Al Canada beach on the gallery which is one of my favourites

Travel:

Palma is the airport on Mallorca, our villa is approx 35 mins away by car, a car is essential and can be hired from the airport, holiday autos is one company but there are several companies easily found online.There is a station in sa pobla that takes you to Palma very quickly with an hourly service and free parking at the station .!!!

Distances:

Sa Pobla is 1 mile away, which can be ridden by cycle enthusiasts, Casa Verde is surrounded by farm tracks and lanes, to explore with your family. We are close to one of the longest river beds in Mallorca, Torrent Massanella (dried up) where you can find lovely wild flowers and wildlife. We are close to the motorway junction so access to the whole island is very easy.

Further Details:

Supermarkets, banks, Chinese takeaway, pizza takeaway, chemists, bars, doctors etc can all be found in Sa Pobla. As well as in Llubi.Markets are located all over the island on differant days but my favourites are sineu on a wednesday and pollenca on a sunday.

Notes on accommodation: Every room has air-con that is hot and cold, central heating,pool has Roman steps into shallow end but goes to a deep pool that means that young children must be supervised at all times.Pool heating is available at an extra cost from £150 Garden and pool have lighting so that they can be used at night. Wi-Fi is now available with the password that is supplied with details of house when booked.There is a drinking water tap in the kitchen so there is no need to buy water .We have just installed a log burner in the lounge fireplace to make winter lets more comfortable. Outside: Private pool is 10x5m with Roman steps into shallow end 1m approx and deep end 2m approx. Pool heating is available from£150 per week, the pool cover needs to be on when the pool is not being used especially at night to keep the heat in,please be aware of children running around pool especially with the cover on as the water is deep. Large patio area with sun beds and surrounding lawns, large dining table with 8 chairs .garden and pool are looked after by gardener weekly. A barbecue is available. Utility Room: Washing machine, broom/vacuum cleaner etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen is supplied/towels for bathrooms, not for swimming or beach. Villa cleaned before arrival and change of bedlinen supplied if booking longer than one week. Breakage deposit required. Other: bookcase on upper landing with more boo

Gorgeous villa with a fantastic pool!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Verde. June was exceptional with communication both before and during our stay. The villa was spotlessly clean, the grounds immaculate and the villa very well maintained. The villa is in the countryside, a quiet location but still easily accessible to bigger towns and beaches. Our travelling group was 2 adults, 2 grandparents and 2 kids - 6 and 9 years old. The pool was enjoyed by all and a welcome relief from the heat. I would thoroughly recommend this villa.

Another fantastic holiday at Casa Verde.Thank you so much to Alan and June for a wonderful two week stay in your beautiful villa. Having been before we knew where everything was and how it all worked.

The train station in Sa Pobla was a bonus as we used it to take a trip into Palma and visit the cathedral and restaurants.

Fantastic villa

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this lovely villa in April. From start of the booking process to the end of our holiday, June (the owner) was extremely helpful in all respects. The villa exceeded all expectations, which were already high having seen the pictures and read the reviews. It proved to be the perfect place to relax and enjoy a family holiday, and was a great base from which to explore. Sadly, yet unsurprisingly, it is already fully booked otherwise we would be returning later in the year. I certainly look forward to returning in the future, and cannot recommend it enough to others.

Fantastic Villa

This is a beautiful villa with a fabulous pool. We were there for a girls weekend (4 nights) to celebrate a birthday and the villa provided everything we needed. It was comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. It is in the countryside so secluded, which is great but it means you do need a car to get out and about, we got taxis in and out of Sa Pobla in the evenings which is just a couple of km away. Sa Pobla also has a well stocked supermarket for all provisions.

The owner June was extremely helpful which meant booking was easy and trouble free. She also made some great recommendations for restaurants etc.

We have already talked about a return visit some time in the future!

A beautiful villa with fantastic views.

The villa is clean, tastefully decorated and well equipped. The gardens are beautiful with a crystal clear pool and great views over farmland and mountains.

This was our first time in Mallorca but the villa was so wonderful we did not really bother with too much exploring of the rest of the island.

Like all the other reviewers we loved our stay at Casa Verde - so much so, we have also booked again for next year!

A Verdant Oasis in a Great Position

I totally agree with JohnH's review from July, 2016.

Like him we are here for the second year running and I have already booked for next year.

June is a delight to deal with - entirely straightforward. I have had to speak with her English friend and found him to be unfailingly helpful.

Casa Verde is a very well equipped, comfortable house just outside Sa Pobla with easy access to the main north/south motorway, Alcudia, Pollenca and the Serra de Tramuntana. Beaches at Platja du Muro are sandy and only 20 minutes away. It is 40 minutes or so to the airport and Palma by car with an hourly train from Sa Pobla to Palma. Three decent supermarkets in the town. My granddaughter has milk and soya allergies - we have coped without difficulty.

It is 37C today - the effective air con is essential in the living room and bedrooms.

The pool is warm, inviting and quite safe for little ones.

The grounds are secluded, green and lush with trees for shade.

Altogether the perfect base for a relaxing holiday in the sun.

Please telephone me, June, for availability although I keep the availability calender updated If you require any odd days please telephone me and I will calculate the cost for you .A deposit will secure your booking, the balance must be paid 6 weeks before the booking date. There is also a damage deposit to be paid along with the final payment of £250, this is to be paid on a separate cheque please, and returned to you after your holiday, providing there is no charge for damage.

Changeover Day:
Normally in after 15.00 hours and out by 10 00 but this can be flexible by arrangement depending on bookings before and after.
