Cottage in Longrock, Nr. Penzance, Cornwall - Comfortable Beachfront Accommodation

3 Seaview Cottage is located in the small village of Long Rock - which is set between Penzance and Marazion. A quiet village which belies the fact that it nestles right on Mounts Bay and has all the joys of the beach without the hustle and bustle of Marazion village. Local amenities include 2 pubs, busy local shop and Post Office and fantastic bus services. 3 Seaview is well equipped and comfortable and can be booked individually or together with Little Rock (ref 8060161) as both are independent of one another. We are located directly opposite the beach with access to the beach and coastal walk within the village. The garden contains wooden climbing frame, swing, slide and 10ft trampoline with safety net. We also have a large decked balcony with table and seating for 6 plus rattan sofas and chairs providing a fantastic adult area on the first floor of this reverse living property. Off road parking for 1 car per property. Please note that between the house and the beach is a single track railway line.

Nick and I purchased 3 Seaview as our family home on the sea in 2004. We loved standing on the balcony overlooking Mounts Bay and watching the world go by. Unfortunately due to work commitments we had to move to Bristol but couldn't part with Number 3. Since 2009 Number 3 and its little sister Little Rock (8060161) has enjoyed welcoming guests from all over the world! We are particularily proud of the amount of return guests we receive each year which I hope shows our passion for providing a beautiful, comfortable holiday cottage in a stunning location.

Walking the dog on the stunning beach without having to get in a car! Plus not having to worry where we are going to park!

Notes on accommodation: We take a lot of pride in making sure 3 Seaview is of a very high standard and very safe for children. The kitchen and lounge are on the first floor - with a child gate at top of the stairs to protect little ones. The garden area is fully secure for children and dogs with lockable gates. Distance to beach is under 5 minute. Can be booked with detached cottage (E2235) - which sleeps 4). Outside: Private lawned garden with 2 wooden sun loungers (cushions provided). Play area includes wooden climbing frame, swing/slide and netted 10ft trampoline (beach toys provided). Large gas BBQ. Large decked balcony facing sea with dining table for 6 (large parasol). Outside sofa and chairs with coffee table (cushions provided). One parking space. Bedding provided. Please bring your own bath and beach towels.

Lovely Cottage with Amazing Views

We loved staying in this beautiful cottage as a family (2 adults, 2 children). The large balcony with amazing views of St Michael's Mount was great for sitting out at all times of day and the very close proximity of the fantastic Mexico Inn was a real bonus.

Excellent property, Superb location and stunning views

This is a great cottage, warm and welcoming and in a superb location. The photo's don't do it justice! I felt really at home there as soon as I saw the old miners lamps on the window ledge as I was a coal miner. Everything you could need is in the property, 3 tv's (which we never even turned on)' Wifi internet access & plenty of power sockets for all your gadgets. A very adequately supplied kitchen with full cooker, microwave & dishwasher and all you need to cook fantastic family meals. The lounge has two comfortable and spacious three-seater sofa's. The property layout has been really well planned, the upstairs has three sets of patio doors that give access to the outside balcony and even on wet days (of which we had more than our fair share) gives great views from Penzance to St Micheals Mount, and of course the railway line (which caused us no bother at all). The bedrooms are well proportioned and we found the beds very comfortable. The owners responded very quickly to help us sort out a couple of minor issues and could not have been more helpful. Staying here certainly lifted our spirits as unfortunately we were down to attend a family funeral :( Would we come here again? Most certainly if the slightest opportunity arises.

A very comfortable and well positioned property.Magnificent views and close to the beach

Loved the views and position of the property. Whilst alongside a railway line there were not too many trains to cause problems (didnt hear any at night so slept extremely well) !!!. Nice to be able to leave the car and get on buses right outside ( St Ives, Helston,Truro and Falmouth all possible).

the only slight issue was getting the car in/out as there is a very limited space getting in to the property and also turning when the neighbours car is there. Easily solved - use the bus !!!

Excellent property with lovely views

The property is in a great location and is well maintained and has everything you need for a self catering holiday. The lounge, kitchen and balcony are on the first floor with superb views of St Michael's Mount. The balcony was much bigger than expected as it also has a table and chairs for six people as well as the rattan seating area. Both bathrooms are well appointed and the garden was safe and secure for our dog. The beach is great for dog walking and you can pick up the coastal path to either Marazion (one mile) or Penzance (1.5 miles). We enjoyed lovely meals at the Mexico Inn (just two minutes from the house) and the Kings's Head at Marazion. It's also great having Sainsburys and Morrisons just 5 minutes drive away. Yes, the trains run at the back of the property but after the first day you get used to them. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to friends and relatives.

Changeover Day:
3 Seaview changeover day is Saturday - Arrival time is 2pm and departure is a strict 10am as we have to clean in time for the next arrivals.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Please note there is a £250 damage deposit required. Deposit cheque should be separate from the rental cheque and will be returned uncashed if property in original condition.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
