3 Seaview Cottage is located in the small village of Long Rock - which is set between Penzance and Marazion. A quiet village which belies the fact that it nestles right on Mounts Bay and has all the joys of the beach without the hustle and bustle of Marazion village. Local amenities include 2 pubs, busy local shop and Post Office and fantastic bus services. 3 Seaview is well equipped and comfortable and can be booked individually or together with Little Rock (ref 8060161) as both are independent of one another. We are located directly opposite the beach with access to the beach and coastal walk within the village. The garden contains wooden climbing frame, swing, slide and 10ft trampoline with safety net. We also have a large decked balcony with table and seating for 6 plus rattan sofas and chairs providing a fantastic adult area on the first floor of this reverse living property. Off road parking for 1 car per property. Please note that between the house and the beach is a single track railway line.

Nick and I purchased 3 Seaview as our family home on the sea in 2004. We loved standing on the balcony overlooking Mounts Bay and watching the world go by. Unfortunately due to work commitments we had to move to Bristol but couldn't part with Number 3. Since 2009 Number 3 and its little sister Little Rock (8060161) has enjoyed welcoming guests from all over the world! We are particularily proud of the amount of return guests we receive each year which I hope shows our passion for providing a beautiful, comfortable holiday cottage in a stunning location.

A very comfortable and well positioned property.Magnificent views and close to the beach

Loved the views and position of the property. Whilst alongside a railway line there were not too many trains to cause problems (didnt hear any at night so slept extremely well) !!!. Nice to be able to leave the car and get on buses right outside ( St Ives, Helston,Truro and Falmouth all possible).

the only slight issue was getting the car in/out as there is a very limited space getting in to the property and also turning when the neighbours car is there. Easily solved - use the bus !!!

Well equiped property and was very clean on arrival.

Excellent property with lovely views

The property is in a great location and is well maintained and has everything you need for a self catering holiday. The lounge, kitchen and balcony are on the first floor with superb views of St Michael's Mount. The balcony was much bigger than expected as it also has a table and chairs for six people as well as the rattan seating area. Both bathrooms are well appointed and the garden was safe and secure for our dog. The beach is great for dog walking and you can pick up the coastal path to either Marazion (one mile) or Penzance (1.5 miles). We enjoyed lovely meals at the Mexico Inn (just two minutes from the house) and the Kings's Head at Marazion. It's also great having Sainsburys and Morrisons just 5 minutes drive away. Yes, the trains run at the back of the property but after the first day you get used to them. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to friends and relatives.

Great clean well situated property

Lovely place clean and tidy. A little maintenance required.

Daughter loved the garden and a beautiful view from the balcony.

Trains run past the rear of the property but hardly noticeable. Beautiful beaches nearby and central to a lot of good places in Cornwall 😊

Very happy holiday. Definitely will return and use again.

Excellent property - with amazing sea views

We had a really lovely stay at seaview, we took two young children who absolutely loved it. The sea views and location are exceptional, waking up to the sea is amazing! The cottage is really well presented and spacious and the outside space is a lovely addition. The trains are close and take a little getting used to but this would be the situation with any cottage along this coast - they were a feature of the holiday for the kids! Shame the laundry room is only available at certain hours as this was when we were out and about but other than we were really happy with everything, would love to come back one day!

A beautiful cottage in a great location

A well equipped and beautifully renovated cottage with all the mod cons and amazing views. The balcony area was larger than expected and a great place to eat al fresco or relax in the sun. The garden is well thought out and again very well equipped and kept our children amused. I don't think the photos on the website do the cottage justice, it is much better in real life!

A short walk to the beach and you can walk to Penzance or Marizion easily. It is well located for day trips to lots of local attractions.

The trains do pass at the end of the garden but we soon got used to this and couldn't hear them in the night or early morning from inside.

Would highly recommend this property as a great place to stay.

Fantastic stay in a lovely holiday home

Fantastic house in a great location with wonderful sea views. The terrace was much bigger than we expected and as we were lucky to see some serious sun we spent many lazy hours out there while the children happily played on the trampoline and swing in the private garden. The trains were close but didn't bother us a bit and it wasn't too far to walk to the crossing to the beach. The accommodation provided us with everything we needed and more, a fantastic week.

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

Mounts Bay is renowned as being one of the best beaches for Windsurfing and Kite Surfing in England. Longrock lies half way around the bay and picks up wind from East round to West. If you like Kiting or Windsurfing in a premier location, without the crowds -Longrock is the place for you! The cottages location means no need to drive either - walk your kit to the beach in under 5 minutes! Or within 8 miles you have the waves of the North Coast which includes spots such as Hayle, Upton and Gwithian. Check out our position on Google Earth!

Coast/Beach:

"Long Rock beach has decent sand and is good for families as the waters are shallow. Penzance is becoming best known for its buzzy feel, with great pubs, cafes, stylish surf-fashion boutiques and antique shops - all on its charming higgledy-piggledy lanes. Of the pubs, the Admiral Benbow and the Turks Head stand out"

We are 2 miles from Penzance railway station, 1 miles from Scilly Isles Heliport, excellent bus service from the village to St Ives (lively nightlife), Falmouth, Truro even the Eden Project!

We are ideally placed for West Cornwall - you can visit Penzance 2 miles, Lands End 12 miles, St Ives 7 miles, Minnack Theatre 8 miles, Sennen Cove 10 miles, Marazion 2 miles, Mousehole 4 miles, Falmouth 30 miles, Truro 20 miles. (All distances are approximate).

Further Details:

Longrock has great local amenities - fantastic local shop for milk, fresh bread, local pasties delivered daily, daily papers etc. Two pubs within 200 yards - The Mexico Inn and Mounts View Hotel. 10 minute walk along the beach path takes you to Station Pub where you can sit out and enjoy a drink and soak up the views. 2 miles to Morrisons and Tesco. Post Office.

Distance to beach is under 5 minute. Can be booked with detached cottage (E2235) - which sleeps 4). Outside: Private lawned garden with 2 wooden sun loungers (cushions provided).
