These villas are two very comfortable newly built stone houses, located on a hillside overlooking the small port of Kassiopi. They enjoy the rare facility of being in a country location with lovely natural pebble beaches and within easy walking distance of 5 minutes into the village of Kassiopi. The houses faithfully follow traditional Corfiot design whilst incorporating today's modern comforts. Extensive all round terraces ensure a mixture of country views, over olive groves and up to the hills behind, to panoramic views over Kassiopi to the sea and coastline. The great advantages of the villas are their close proximity to Kassiopi. It is possible to manage without a car, although, it is always recommended in order to explore the island. A boat is also recommended as a very enjoyable way of seeing the stunning coastline and enjoying a secluded swim at one of the many beautiful bays, or relaxing over a long lunch at one of the many tavernas on the coast.
Ruth (English) and her husband Filippos are the owners of Villa Angelina and Villa Loukas. Both villas were completed in May 2008, using the original stone used for the very first house that was built where Villa Loukas is situated now. (Filippos's mother was born there, and to this day the little cave remains where she used hide from the Germans during the war). The houses boast sea and country views nestled within tranquil surroundings within a 5 minute walk to Kassiopi village. Both villas meet with modern day needs, conveniences and technology. Ruth lives unobtrusively nearby and is "onhand" to assist with any problems or queries should they arise. We both take great pride in offering our clients luxurious accommodation and a friendly impersonal service. Your satisfaction is our aim.
Each villa boast sea & rural views in tranquil surroundings. 5-7min walk to beaches and local village. Each villa offers it's own private pool with comfortable cushioned teak sun loungers, a private dining terrace with a teak dining table and cushioned dining chairs. Each villa has it's own private iron gate to assure privacy at all times. Wi Fi Internet connections and Sky Free to view television, DVD player and stereo.
Notes on prices:
Prices start from 1,000 euros per villa per week, please enquire for more details.
Villa Loukas was just as described and pictured - a pretty stone house with a nice pool and beautiful views. The only aspect of the location that doesn't really come across in the listing is that the villa is approached up a short but very steep hill - good for burning off baklava calories but not easy walking!
The villa was well equipped throughout and had excellent air-conditioning in all rooms. Everything was kept beautifully clean on a daily basis, inside and out.
Ruth provided wonderful customer service - welcoming and informative when we arrived, and unobtrusively helpful during our stay. When there was a partial electricity cut one evening, it was great to be able to text her straight away to find out what was going on. The welcome hamper was very generous, too.
We found Kassiopi to have just the right blend of character and liveliness - plenty of restaurants and bars but not too manic. We didn't hire a car but went on boats and buses to various places around the north of the island. One useful tip is that the supermarkets will deliver your shopping for free (and you too, if you're lucky) provided you spend 50+ euros, so you don't have to haul heavy bags up that hill.
We had a blissful 2 weeks and would definitely recommend this villa to friends.
