Apartment in Camp de Mar, near Andratx, Mallorca, Balearic Islands - 5 Minutes from Beach, Restaurants and Golf Course

Our 2nd floor apartment is situated in the heart of Camp de Mar, a beautiful bay on the South West coast of Mallorca. It comprises of lounge/diner, including double sofa bed, kitchen with appliances (fridge/freezer, cooker, kettle, toaster, microwave etc), double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom, front balcony/sun terrace with outdoor dining overlooking the swimming pool and gardens with sea views. Rear outside terrace for use as a utility area with washing machine and airer, underground allocated car parking space, underground lockable storage shed/cupboard. Other facilities include air-conditioning/heating system, use of residential pool & gardens, television with British channels (Sky freeview channels), CD/DVD player, use of 4 sun loungers, baby/infant travel cot,high chair, supplies of bedding and towels. Camp de Mar is an exclusive resort and offers something for most but is ideal for families, couples, beach lovers, golfers, cyclists & walkers.

About Nick Pottinger

Our apartment is jointly owned by me and my family (me and my wife, my sister and her husband and my Mum and Dad). We all currently live in England and we all try to get out to our apartment at least once, if not twice a year as we love the island so much, particularly the west. My wife and I have 2 children, aged 9 and 10 who have already hadmany safe and enjoyable holidays in our apartment. My sister and husband have 2 older daughters, aged 19 and 16 who have also enjoyed many beach holidays in Camp De Mar over the years. My Mum and Dad are happily retired (they are in their seventies now) and still enjoy returning to the apartment each year. They tend to come over for 2 to 3 weeks at a time during the slightly cooler months.

Why Nick Pottinger chose Andratx area

Mum & Dad previously lived and worked in this part of the island for 8 years but they had to return to the UK for personal reasons. Before that, Mum & Dad used to bring my sister & I here for holidays when we were younger & when they decided to live here permanently my sister & I naturally paid them regular visits & so did our respective families when they came along. My wife & I even got married here in Port Andraitx in 2004, so needless to say, we do have fond feelings for the area. Mallorca is a beautiful island, with lush mountainous scenery & an array of gorgeous beaches. The South West corner is particularly appealing, with a handful of quieter family beaches, a back drop of hills & mountains, an upmarket selection of eateries & bars & a retreat to escape the hustle & bustle!

What makes this apartment unique

Our property is very conveniently situated for beaches, restaurants, bars & local golf club. We are a less than a 2 mins walk from the waters edge & less than 5 mins from the main beach. There is a nice selection of restaurants & a handful of bars, all within walking distance (ranging from 2 to 10 minutes walk). There is a grocery store, mini supermarket, patisserie & pharmacy all close by, very handy for convenience food & drink, daily newspapers, fresh bread/croissants & emergency medicines. There is a regular bus service from our resort providing cheap & easy access to other areas of the island & there is also a taxi rank at the bottom of the road. Our property also features air-conditioning/heating which has proved invaluable in both the hottest & coolest of months.

Exceeds expectations

We stayed in this really comfortable apartment this summer for two weeks. It is very clean, spacious, nicely decorated and very welcoming, with lovely views. The pool is lovely and heats up beautifully in the summer, making it one of the nicest pools I have used for temperature. All the other occupiers were also really pleasant. It is extremely close to a pretty beach and a short drive from lots of other beautiful places. We would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone and are already planning next year's stay.
