Casa Del Mar is a modern, luxury 2 storey villa with a good size heated, private pool and patio area overlooking the bay. With it being on the Southern most resort of the island it therefore benefits from maximum sunshine. Just 5 minutes stroll away is the newly opened 'village' down by the local beach where you can relax amongst a variety of shops, bars and restaurants and even a play area for the children. To the left of the villa are the famous Papagayo white beaches, and to the right along the promenade is the exclusive new Marina Rubicon with its numerous bars and restaurants, both within easy reach. Just a bit further down the picturesque promenade with stunning coastal views is the popular Dorada beach with all its water sports, and then on into the main resort of Playa Blanca (5 minutes by car from villa).

Wonderful villa

First time in Spain so was a little apprehensive, but was not disappointed on arrival. A lovely, clean well equipped villa. Lovely quiet location, beautiful view and and we had the best holiday of our lives. Thank you Debbie for all support. I can't wait to back to Villa del Mar.

A superb villa

We have just arrived back form our stay at this lovely villa. The owner Debbie could not have been more helpful. It is a good size for six people, spotlessly clean and with superb facilities for a perfect holiday. It's comfortably furnished and has a lovely outside patio area and of course the pool which was perfect to cool off in.

There is a well stocked supermarket very close by, and it take only 15-20 minutes to walk to the nearby Marina Rubicon, and a few more minutes to Playa Blanca itself. Taxis are cheap if you don't fancy the walk though.

The beach at Playa Dorada is stunning, but does get quite busy around lunchtime, so it's best to arrive early.

I would certainly book this villa again if I decide to return to Lanzarote.

Fab Villa, Super Location

Villa Casa Del Mar is home from home, well equipped, the owner and the resort staff were very friendly and efficient. As we arrived on a late flight Debbie organised water, milk, coffee and tea. The outdoor area was lovely and the pool was clean and warm.

Just a 2 minute walk to the sea and then a further 15 minute stroll into the beautiful Marina Rubicon. The supermarket was a short walk away, we had a car for the whole of our stay but you don't need one as there are plenty of buses or taxis if you don't fancy the walk into Rubicon or Playa Blanca.

I'd certainly recommend this Villa for your holiday

Amazing villa, Recommend!

I cannot Debbie the owner, for the smooth process of booking and the constant prompt contact she provided regarding our stay and any queries we had.

The villa itself was lovely, clean and had everything there provided you would need for a great stay.

We didn't rent a car as it was in an ideal location to walk to bars and restaurants and if you didn't mind a walk then to the main beaches.

The Rubicon marina had plenty of restaurants and bars, this was a lovelt stroll along cliff tops which took about 15minutes or a taxi was only 4 euros.

There was a brilliant market held there every Wednesday and Saturday and had everything you need to get your presents to take home.

Overall a brilliant relaxed stay. Thanks Debbie! x

Total relaxation!

Sometimes when you book a property it never lives up to your expectations, However Casa Del Mar matched our expectations and much more! The full description of the property was as true as the words and photos on the website. I have so much to say about the villa from its splendid views of the sea and the mountains night and day from both the front and rear of the property to the inside where space was a plenty and everything was catered for and spotlessly clean, just like being at home which is difficult to achieve when you have lots of quests staying.

The pool is an added extra and was very welcome in the heat, it was great to have a swim both day and night.

As there was only my husband and i staying we wanted something special as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary whilst there and found it was very spacious with a bathroom each!! It would also be perfect for a family to stay as the bedrooms was generous in size with lots of wardrobe space.

Right from the time with booked with the owner Debbie to the time we left was seem less. She was so helpful and was easy to approach with any question.

Debbie who lived locally and looked after the villa was full of information and checked in to see if we had settled in ok on day 2 of our holiday, she knew a lot about the area so well worth asking about restaurants and places to visit as we did.

We did some research before we went and knew we wanted to visit Timanfaya volcano, So pleased we did, you can get and excursion from playa blanca for approx 20 euro or if you go by car you can park up and then the coach drives you round stopping at different points for photos, well worth the 9 euros as the views were stunning, you can also get a bite to eat from the barbacue that's cooks chicken and pototoes over the open heat of the volcano.

As for the restaurants the Blue note jazz bar and restaurant with entertainment every night and meson la taberna tapas restaurant are a must!

I would like to finish by saying it wont be the last time we visit Casa Del Mar and would without doubt recommend to family and friends.

A big thank you for letting us stay in your home from home it was just lovely.

Superb Villa and location

Villa was really lovely, very clean had everything that was needed and more Debbie the owner was lovely and kept in touch from beginning.The pool area was great Supermarket up the road was very handy as was local bus service always on time and ran frequently which was a bonus as we went into Playa Blanca town daily for meals etc

Special interest holidays:

Locally there is a wide range of activities including: boat trips, fishing, jet skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling, banana boat, pedalo's, quad bikes and dune buggies, 10 pin bowling, weekly markets and organised excursions.

Other activities on the island include golf, water park, windsurfing/surfing, cycling, horse/camel rides, animal/bird parks, wild West theme park, submarine, go-carts and jeep safaris.

Coast/Beach:

The nearest beach is 100M from the villa, and only a 20 minute walk (or 5 minutes by car) as are the famous Papagayo natural white beaches. From the local beach is the promenade with very scenic views that leads all the way into Playa Blanca (30 minutes stroll or 5 minutes by car) passing through the new Marina Rubicon and the large Dorada beach with its many water sports and bars.

Travel:

Travel from Arrecife airport is about 30minutes by taxi or car. Car hire is not essential as all amenities are close by such as supermarket, bars and restaurants and taxi rank, and there are many organised excursions available. However, for those wishing to make the most of the local area and to explore the island there are many beautiful and interesting places to visit. Cars and mopeds are available to hire at a very reasonable cost from as little as 1 day or for the whole of your holiday.

Distances:

The local village is just 5 minutes walk away and hosts a number of shops, bars and restaurants. A 15 minute stroll from the villa is the beautiful Marina Rubicon with its exclusive shops, bars and restaurants and a weekly craft market. The town of Playa Blanca is 2.5km away (5 minutes by car). Timanfaya National Park (volcanic region) is 20km away and Los Hervideros and Jameos Del Agua (natural volcanic caves) are 50 mins away by car, both are definitely worth a visit.

Further Details:

There is a good sized and well stocked supermarket with deli and instore bakery at the top of the road (open 8am - 10pm 7 days). Adjacent to it is the taxi rank, car hire, and bus stop which are all just 100m from the villa. There are several 5 star hotels, restaurants, bars, shops and ATM all within a few minutes walk.

Changeover day is Thursday-Thursday in peak times, but other days by arrangement, and part weeks acceptable in most cases.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds, and for up to 4 people sharing. The villa sleeps 6 + cot (for under 2 yr old's). Extra persons are £50 each per week (Children under 2 are free).
Pool heating for the winter months is available for a relaxing 28-29 degree's at £40 per week if required.

A deposit of £100 per week of booking is required or the full amount if less than 8 weeks until you occupy the villa. The final balance is to be paid in full 8 weeks prior to arrival.

  • Notes on accommodation: Our villa manager will call on you soon after your arrival to make sure you have settled in and to answer any questions you may have about the villa or general area, resturants etc. There is an electronic safe and alarm system provided free for your peace of mind. We have a no smoking policy inside the villa. Outside: Large patio area with private heated pool featuring under-water lighting for that midnight dip, and beautiful sea views. There are 4 sun loungers, a patio table with parasol to seat 6, and a good sized portable BBQ. Mature garden to the front with off road parking, and with access to the rear garden/pool/patio through a side gate. Utility Room: The open-air utility room has a washing machine, clothes airer, iron and ironing board, aswell as mops, brooms and dustpans. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Weekly maid service includes cleaning, fresh linen and towels. (Please bring your own beach towels). Please note for part weeks (eg 10/11 days) only linen and towels will be changed. High chair & cot/playpen included free. (Please bring own cot bedding) Other: The dining area comfortably seats 6 people around a large solid pine table, and a high chair is supplied. There is also a table and chairs and sun loungers provided outside on the patio area.
