Apartment in Hacienda Riquelme, Sucina, Costa Calida - Frontline Golf, 15 Mins Drive to the Coast

Hacienda Riquelme is part of the Nicklaus Golf Trail, it is a testing 18-hole par 72, course, 6416 m, from the back tees. Spectacular views can be had from all rooms with mountains and fairways 1 and 2, from the bedrooms, and pool, fairways 8 and 9, lake and distant sea views from the lounge/dining.There are 2 sun loungers on the large terrace along with table and 4 chairs for al fresco dining. It is a 2 minute walk to the resort centre, where there is a well stocked supermarket. There are childrens play areas dotted around the resort. There is underground parking serviced by a lift. This resort is ideally situated for golfers and non golfers alike. There are numerous activities, horse riding, mountain climbing and fishing. The Mar Menor is one of the best places in the world for watersports and of course miles of beaches to explore. The waters of the Mar Menor have been renowned for their benefits to health.

Had a wonderful relaxing holiday in your lovely apt. It was well situated for the club house, supermarket, bar and restaurant.The children spent most of the days in the huge pool, whilst my husband enjoyed his golf. The apt was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Will definitely recommend this to my friends and hope to return next year.

Location

Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

The Mar Menor is a 15/20 minute drive from the resort, where you will find miles of beautiful, safe clean sandy beaches. It's a wonderful place for water sports such as sailing, wind surfing etc.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Murcia San Javier which is a 15 minute drive from the resort. Alicante is a 45 minute drive. Both are served by many of the low cost airlines throughout the UK. Car hire is recommended.

Distances:

The nearest village of Sucina is less than 5 minutes drive. The historical capital city of Murcia is approx. 25 minutes drive, an exciting and vibrant place to visit.

Cartagena, another historical city worth visiting is 30 mins drive.

Further Details:

On the resort there is a well stocked supermarket, bars, and restaurant. In nearby Sucina there is a large supermarket along with banks, pharmacy, several restaurants, bakery etc.

Dotted around the resort are play areas for young children.

Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are provided, please bring your own beach towels. Cleaning is done at the end of your stay unless requested. For stays longer than a week linen can be changed for a small charge.

ThiS is my 4th visit . Have stayed in three different apartments - this one was better located for m

Second floor apartments in my opinion have a definite advantage - better views! I have stayed in three different apartments on the resort since 2014 . This year's apartment was ideal for me as it was really close to supermarket and restaurants. I didn't hire a car this year - which is needed for apartments located further from the shop ( carrying water, etc). I love everything about Hacienda Riquelme and look forward to my next visit! Thank you Pam Coombe for renting me your home.

Basic facilities within the apartment . Clean and comfortable

We had a lovely holiday . The weather was fantastic. The apartment was clean and comfortable . The furniture was adequate however could do with updating . There were chairs that were available to take to the pool however it became quite apparent that they were unsafe !!! I would suggest to the owner that there were sunbeds that were available to be taken easily to the pool . There were furniture on the balcony that was adequate but again rust was quite apparent on all them. The view from the apartment overlooking the pool and the golf course was brilliant. The grounds, pool etc were well kept . Will definitely be back to the resort

What a wonderful holiday..

We stayed at this apartment for 10 days. The apartment was very well maintained and perfectly equipped with everything that you would need. We didn't use the dishwasher , but I did use the washing machine a couple of times for the golf clothes!! The apartment is perfectly situated on the complex , 5 min walk to the supermarket, the clubhouse restaurant , and bar and also the driving range and practise area. The lovely large balcony overlooks the pool and the fairways.. Stunning view in the morning.. The pool was regularly cleaned every morning.. We hired a car for the duration as had a few days at the beach which was only a 10 min drive away. All the roads are very straightforward and very week signposted . The golf course was superb, my husband got a weekly pass which included a free golf buggy every day, and my 12 yr old had a monthly pass as it worked out cheaper than paying daily for 7 days. Can't fault anything, had the most fantastic holiday and would definitely go back..

Perfect holiday

We recently stayed in hacienda riquelme golf resort in Costa Calida. The location was ideal for us and our two year old. The apartment was exactly as described and had every amenity we could need. The property was clean and the dishwasher and washing machine were very useful. I would definitely recommend this property and location to anyone with young families or those wanting a relaxing holiday. The apartment was ideally located near to the bar, restaurants and supermarket all of which we frequented during our stay.
