Excellent well equipped apartment

When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised how spacious and well equipped / modern the apartment was, the photos dont do this apartment justice how nice it is. We were 2 families with 3 children and a baby in total and was ideally suited for us. Approx 15 mins walk to centre of alvor or a few euros in a taxi, ma patilia is a very quiet area and on the most days that we lazed around the pool area we had it to ourselves. Highly recommended

Excellent apartment.

This apartment comfortably held 4 adults and 4 children. When we arrived we found it to be extremely clean and very well equipped. The air conditioning throughout was great on the days when the temperature hit 35 degrees! Beds were comfortable and the quality of the rest of the furniture and other equipment (kitchen utensils, etc) was very high. Great pool, with the use of private sunbeds and a BBQ area. Despite it being the beginning of July, we often had the pool to ourselves. Lots of green outdoor space and plenty car parking available outside the apartment block. Good restaurants and bars/cafes within walking distance. Alvor is a very nice town with a great beach. We would highly recommend this apartment - it is safe, clean and comfortable - Caron Quinn

You will not be disappointed with this apartment

Being just outside Alvor centre and in a quiet residential location ensures a peaceful stay. The apartment is bright, spacious, well maintained and immaculately clean. I have been lucky enough to stay in the apartment three times which to me says something about the standard and I would confidently recommend this apartment. The owners are easy to deal with and always respond to E mails and have provided an apartment which is a credit to them.

gorgeous apartment, excellent location

The property was located in a lovely quiet residential area but still close to amenities, with the beach and the main town within a short distance. The apartment itself was spotless and very well equipped, with lovely bathrooms, bedrooms and spacious living and eating areas. The owners were fantastically helpful and great to deal with. Overall this was an amazing place to stay in and visit and I can't wait to go back.

Excellent value, beautiful property

Excellent location for exploring Alvor's beautiful beaches and fabulous restaurants. The property is spacious, spotless and superb!! Well equipped with everything you need and more. The owners were a joy to deal with and very professional with their communications. I would give this holiday and property the highest possible recommendation.

Lovely apartment in quiet residential area

Clean and spacious apartment with lovely pool area. We did some of our own catering and found it well equipped. Having the bathroom, en-suite and another toilet meant that there was no queuing- great when there are 7 women staying! We enjoyed the walk, of about 15 mins, to the beach which is beautiful. Being set back from the main shopping area and the beach meant the area around the apartment was quiet and peaceful. In the immediate vicinity there are however a selection of small shops and cafés offering good, and reasonably priced, food. All in an excellent base for our holiday.

From the Owner

This apartment is situated in a residential area with fantastic,helpful neighbours who are a mixture of local business people,housewives,tourists and ex pats. The facilities and local amenities are very good with for example a hairdresser at the entrance of the apartment frequently visited by the many females of the family,there are also local paper shops,cafe's and a bakery.The apartment is also central and within easy reach of Pria Da Rocha for the younger family members,Alvor for the older members and Potimao so the ladies can do get their necessary holiday shopping.

Activity and Interests


Praia do Vau Beach, famous for its rich healing properties is 15min walk, Praia de Rocha Beach is 5 min by car. Alvor beach is the only flat accessible beach in the Algarve, and is also close by. Most beaches have cafes, restaurants sunbeds and water sports. All are well maintained.


Faro Airport is 40min by car. There are daily flights from all over Europe. Car hire is not essential but we recommend it to explore all the wonderful sights the region has to offer.


The nearest town is Alvor witch is 20-25 min walk or 3 min drive. Alvor is a lovely fishing village with a great selection of bars, restaurants and shops which will suit all age groups. Portimao the main shopping centre is only 3 min by car. Praia de Rocha is only 4 min by car. A taxi to any of these will be approx 4 euros (prices 2013).

Further Details:

There are 3 banks in Alvor. Across from the flat there are 2 cafes, 2 restaurants, super market, hair salon. Convenient for slide, splash and sea world where you can swim with the dolphins. Handy for Pria de Rocha ,Portimao and Alvor town.
