Rock house mews is located in the hamlet of North Chailey, on the edge of the historic village of Newick.

The Mews is situated within its own grounds of approximately five acres and home to local sheep and free range chicken. convenient location for Lewes, Haywards heath, Brighton, Firle, Bluebell railway, Sheffield park gardens and not forgetting the famous South Downs National park. Ample parking secured with Cctv.

This individual ground floor apartment consits of one double bedroom tastfully furished, dressed with quality linen, memory foam mattress enhancing a perfect nights sleep. double wardrobe plus a chest of drawers for your belongings. This bright fresh feeling bedroom is overlooking open fields.

Bathroom consisting of walk in shower, storeage cupboard and supplied with freshly launded towels. Towel rail and spa day complementary toiletries.

This fully equipped kitchen has an integrated electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge with ice box and washing machine. This bright airy streamline kitchen overlooking a country aspect view.

This lounge has been designed and furnished with a country style in mind, soft lighting for a cosy night in enaballing you to relax and enjoy your stay.

The lounge also consists of a comfortable sofa bed, a dining suite seating four people.

complemented by a beautful sheerborn sideboard and matching coffee table. The lounge in complete with Tv, freeview and unlimited Wifi throughout the apartment.

Directly outside this lovely apartment consists of a five seated ratten patio furniture set, dressed with plumped colour co-ordinated cushions and throws An Outback gas bbq, benches overlooking the chicken. An authentic Mexican hammock between the beautiful oak trees where you can lie back watching the woodpeckers and various other wildlife.

About Mrs Baillieux

My husband and I live in England. We have both travelled extensively over the years and fully understand what people want and need when staying away from home.

We care about our guests staying at Rock House and nothing is too much trouble .

John, my husband is a retired builder, who loves spending time in the beautiful country side attending to his live stock and telling a tale or two about the latest breed of chicken he has .

Me well ! Most of the time I'm busy cleaning and sorting the paper work out, l love cooking and seeing things just so in the holiday lets and around the estate.

We love it in this small Hamlet of North Chailey, Newick.

The great thing is that its very easy to get to places from Rock House , surrounded by beautiful country side and the interesting wild life.

There are a lot of beautiful areas to visit around here and the people around these parts are great .

We love it !

Bright, clean and welcoming

A warm welcome from Jill, very peaceful, a lovely apartment which was well equipped and so comfortable and cosy. We really loved our stay here and escape from reality. We found some lovely walks and saw deer leaping through the woods which was a real treat. We walked to a pub in the next village and Jill very kindly offered to pick us up after our meal and bring us home, so that we could relax and enjoy a glass or two of wine with our meal.

The apartment was in a peaceful area surrounded with stunning countryside but within easy reach of Lewes and Haywards Heath.

Third visit!

This is our third stay in the apartment within a year which says a lot. It's built over a garage block adjacent to the owner's property. It is ideal for us (mature couple), providing a well appointed, cosy and quiet bolt hold when visiting family in Brighton. The flat is well equipped with most of the things you would need for a short stay and is beautifully clean. We're OK with the access via the external spiral stairs but it could be an issue for older/less mobile guests. There are places to eat and visit in the surrounding area. We will book again. Peaceful country location

Wow what an idyllic place! Fresh air & fantastic place to recharge. Owners are there but not intrusive, there if you need them & welcoming. Thank you for our hamper. The apartment is cosy & very clean. Lovely area to explore. Will come again if you'll have us.

Exceptionally clean and ideal for our 4 day break.

Ideal location for Lewes and the wedding we attended in Anne of Cleves House. The mews apartment was quiet and restful overlooking fields with sheep and wandering chickens. Jill and John were the perfect hosts, always helpful and informative but never intrusive. I would recommend this apartment to enjoy a holiday, short break or exploring the South Downs which has numerous excellent pubs/restaurants within a few miles reach.

The apartment was very comfortable and very well furnished to a high standard and provided ample living space to relax inside or out.

I would not hesitate in booking the apartment again.
