A 15 minute walk also brings you to the village of Cancelada with its small selection of bars and restaurants. The nearest beach is a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk away, while less than a 10 minute walk away is one of the regions premier Thalasso and Spa Hotels - The Selenza. El Retiro de Bel Air is located midway between Marbella (and the nearby millionaires’ playground Puerto Banus) and Estepona, a quieter coastal town, well known for having kept its Spanish character.

The apartment is luxurious, spacious and in a great location with easy access to Puerto Banus, Marbella and Estepona. There wasn't a negative thing we could find about the apartment and we are booking for a week next year, but I don't think I can wait that long to return as we had such an amazing time!!! Outside: The property has a large terrace with dining table and chairs plus 2 sun loungers and a parasol. There is a large communal pool with sun loungers for tenants' use. Utility Room: Washing machine and tumble dryer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The property will be cleaned before arrival and new towels and lined provided. The cost is included in the rental price.

Car: recommended


The nearest beach is approximately 1km away and can be walked to in 15 mins but driving is easier. The beach is long and clean and has 2 beach bars with loungers and parasols


The property is almost half way between Malaga and Gibraltar airports, both being about 45 minutes by car. Car hire is strongly recommended to make the best use of the location.


A 15 minute walk also brings you to the village of Cancelada with its small selection of bars and restaurants.The towns of Marbella, Puerto Banus and Estepona are within 15 minutes travel time by car. Gibraltar, with its famous rock and apes is just 45 minutes away and the towns of Seville, Cordoba, Cadiz, Jerez and Granada are accessible as day trips, as is the exotic country of Morocco.

Further Details:

Within walking distance are supermarkets, restaurants, bars and banks. In addition to the nearby golf course is the Bel-Air tennis club plus various spa and leisure centres. There is plenty of entertainment in the area for families. Very close by is the Selwo Safari Park, which keeps exotic animals in semi-wild conditions. Along the coast towards Malaga are a series of theme parks including the aqua park and crocodile park at Torremolinos and the aqua park and Carting at Mijas Costa; the zoo at Fuengirola and sea life centre and aquarium at Benelmadena and Marbella. For the more active there's Funny Beach at Marbella.

Changeover Day:
There is no specific changeover day. Upon arrival at the apartment you will be met by our local representative. This service is complimentary between the hours of Monday to Saturday 10am to 8pm but otherwise will incur an extra charge of 69.60 euros.

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
