Apartment in Golf del Sur, Tenerife - Sea Views from 2 Large Balconies

This two bedroom apartment is only 10 minutes drive from the airport. It has two large balconies 1 front with table and chairs and 1 rear south facing with large table which seats 8 people a bbq and 2 sun loungers ,2 bathrooms and laundry ,large living room with satalite tv ,dvd hifi and plenty of dvds ,books to use, with sea and mountain views. 2 minutes from sea front promanade and new marina ,Golf del Sur is a pleasant mix of both tourist and residential hotels, apartments and villas situated around the prestigious 27 hole championship golf course, it is generally referred to as "the Golf". The area is very green and tranquil with sub-tropical palms and flowers in abundance. Golf del Sur has it's own shopping/commercial district at San Blas Commercial centre.

Why chris may chose San Miguel de Abona

I bought the apartment in 2000, we love golf del sur its so relaxing, its got a more relaxed feel than the main resorts of Los Cristiano's and Playa de las Americas, although its nice to visit them its also nice to return back to golf del sur and leave the hustle and bustle behind, it only takes about 15 mins by car/taxi there is also a bus service just outside the complex ,so we get the best of both worlds, as for golf del sur its so beautiful and green with wonderful walks along the sea front,there are also many shops, restaurants and bars with or without entertainment so however we feel there is always something to do, we are spoilt for choice and everyone is so warm and friendly.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is in the royal parque albatross complex with all the benefits of a beautiful hotel, lush gardens, lagoon style swimming pool with waterfall, al a cart restaurant,bars,and very friendly staff where nothing is not to much trouble and is situated only 300 meters from the sea front, restaurants and bars. The apartment itself is very large and welcoming, everything you would want,relaxing sunny balconies and space to unwind.

This apartment is probably the best situated on the complex. It has 2 very large balconies which ensure that you have all day sun. Additionally it is close to the car park and has lovely views from both balconies. The apartment itself is large enough for a family of 4/5 or 2 couples and is well equipped though not luxurious. For the rental price this apartment is probably one of the best bargains on Tenerife. Golf del Sur was a very pleasant surprise to us, lots of good places to eat and an excellent promenade walk. The Park Albatross has a very nice pool area, well keep grounds and an excellent restaurant.

Outside: The hotel gardens, streams and ponds lead directly to a large waterfall which falls into the lifeguard supervised swimming pool. There are plenty of beds, a children's pool and playground. Table tennis and table football, pool table, darts . Utility Room: There is also a washing machine situated in the main bathroom. There is also an iron and ironing board for your use. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included in the price, . Other: 2 hairdryers, Large selection of books and DVDs. BBQ and bench style table/chairs, and two sun beds situated on rear balcony.

Stunning views and a very comfortable stay

Chris was very helpful and informative from our very first enquiry about renting this apartment. The apartment was a perfect size for our group of 2 adults and 3 teenagers with 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. The balconys were both lovely and it was nice to be able to get the sun all day in November. The large balcony was a great place to sunbathe in peace during the day and watch the sun go down in the evening. The location is perfect as it's only 10 mins from the airport and has plenty of bars and restaurants near by. There is a bus stop and taxi rank near the front entrance which was very handy we did a day trip by taxi to Siam park and caught the bus to El Medano beach. Watch out for taxi drivers overcharging on arrival at the airport we were charged 25 euros which we queried and were told it was more for 5 people but on out return it was only 15 Euro. Overall a great not frills apartment with amazing views that represents good value for money.

Great space and location.

This property had everything we required to help us enjoy our holiday. Large rooms and fans as it was really hot in Tenerife when we were there last week. Loved the large balcony with the bench and sunbeds.

Spacious, value for money apartment

I have given this apartment 5 out of 5 as it is excellent value for money.

The pluses for us were:-

Excellent communication and local support.

The good size.

The choice of 2 balconies and the space on the one overlooking the complex. You are guaranteed shade or sun as you wish all day.

The apartment has been repainted recently.

It has TV with some English channels and a DVD player.

Good sized pool.

Oven, microwave and kettle

Some herbs and spices available

Minor negatives

Front door lock very stiff.

Kitchen units tired.

Quite noisy in main bedroom from road outside and entrance to complex although I would say we live in the country so probably more aware than most of traffic noise.

Basic, Noisy and in need of TLC

Unfortunately we did not have a great stay 12th to 21st May 2017. The weather was lovely but there was no pool as it was being refurbished and not re-opening until the end of May. If we had been informed of this we would not have chosen to stay here. The apartment is directly over the reception and it has a 24 hour reception so is noisy at all times. The whole apartment is very tired and in need of a complete refurbishment. The lock broke and we had to call the number we were left for them to come out and fix it. He was there in half an hour and a friendly chap and managed to sort it out. The walls to adjacent apartments are very thin and you really do hear all sorts! We was unlucky enough to have a screaming baby the whole time we was there. The only positive I can really say is the balcony's were sunny all day (Front in morning, Rear late morning onward). Good enough location, plenty of bars, restaurants and buses/taxis. Cost us 15 Euros from airport in taxi. Irish bar does nice food and take away. Avoid the onsite restaurant it is awful! We had to send ribs back as they were raw. Rendezvous in the Winter Gardens next door is nice and they do a good breakfast.

Owner's Response: i'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay, unfortunately most of your comments are out of my control ,pool repairs ,baby screaming ,thin walls ,reception ,lock breakage ,although repaired within half an hour ,was this not quick enough!,the apartment is constantly maintained and improved ,its already been decorated ,new wardrobes etc this year and other jobs are planned when its vacant,but to say its more or less in need of complete refurbishment is a bit over the top .

good size apartment, a bit tired.

Golf del Sur has its own shopping/commercial district at San Blas Commercial center, here you will find a bank, chemist, supermarkets and gift shops. There are a good selection of bars and restaurants, which during the evening have live entertainment.

A large new marina will bring a diving school, day trips and a sand beach.

Many new shops, bars and restaurants are opening along the Golf's sea front walk.

A small market is open on a Friday 10 - 3 situated to the rear of the hotel in the car park.
