This stunning apartment is situated in the Altea Hills resort overlooking the bay of Altea with the majestic Sierra Bernia Mountains rising up behind. The apartment is bright and airy and has been tastefully furnished and decorated in a modern comfortable style by a local interior designer. A private swimming pool is situated at the front of the complex in beautifully landscaped gardens. Remote controlled entry gates lead to underground parking and there is lift access to the apartments. The luxury leisure facilities of the hotel, swimming pools, gym, paddle tennis courts and beauty centre are available to residents at a small charge. Nestled in the pines just below the apartment is a magnificent clay court tennis club boasting four courts which can be booked at very reasonable rates, there is also a small bar where drinks are served all day long. 5 minutes away is the typically Spanish village of Altea La Vella which has two good supermarkets, bakery, chemist and banks.

Absolutely fabulous, immaculate, spacious apartment on a modern complex in Altea Hills overlooking the Mediterranean, forested valley and Altea hills - beautiful. Nice pool area. Quiet and relaxing. Visitors can access 5* hotel facilities which include gym, spa area etc for a fee. Easy access to Calpe, Benidorm and Altea town. Car essential. We were stranded due to the Icelandic volcano and the owners were fabulous with us. We had a great time - highly recommended. Nevens Family 6-28 April 10

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The nearest beach is 3 kilometres and is a stony beach, with beach cafes nearby. It is not commercialised and has a lovely path to walk along especially in the evening. There is also the town beach in Altea with its palm fringed promenade harbour and marina. The recently built Greenwich Marina is only a five minute drive away and well worth a visit just to admire the boats. Calpe, about 6km away, offers a soft and sandy beach and is very popular during the peak season.

Travel:

The closest airport is Alicante, 60km south, about 30 minutes on the motorway. Valencia airport is 120km north. Both have daily connections with most main cities in Spain and Europe and in the peak season there are multiple flights daily from the majority of UK airports. A car is essential and can be easily collected from either airport.

Distances:

Altea, 2km away, is a beautiful and historic coastal town set between Valencia and Alicante. The whitewashed old town of Altea has remained untouched by mass tourism and the narrow cobbled streets leading up to the blue roofed church are vibrant with art shops, boutiques and fabulous restaurants, many with roof terraces overlooking the bay. The village of Altea de Vella is a 5 minute drive and offers two supermarkets, chemist, bank, bakery greengrocer and a weekly market.

Further Details:

The Mundomar animal park, Terramitica theme park, Aqualandia water park are all near Benidorm about 13km away. The magnificent Guadelest castle, reservoir and safari park are about a 45 minute drive into the mountains. The castle village, which is reached through a tunnel, is a delight, with many little craft and souvenir shops. Local activities include cycling, fishing, karting, horse riding and walking. During the summer months a wealth of water sports are on offer such as windsurfing, jet skiing, paragliding, scuba diving and sailing. To the north is the beautiful Cap Negret with spectacular cliff top walks and unspoilt scenery. To the south is the town of Villajoyosa (Jewelled Town) which has retained its authentic Spanish charm with vibrantly coloured houses (to guide the fishermen home), a busy fishing harbour with an afternoon fish market selling the daily catch. The Palau Altea, performing arts centre, hosts art exhibitions, plays and concerts.
