Located 45 minutes from Limoges airport, we offer a fully facilitated 4/5 bedroom house which is ideal for peaceful, relaxing holidays in France. Less than 2 miles from the lovely town of Jumilhac Le Grand complete with its magnificnt chateau and 15 minutes from St Yriex La Perche, our location offers everything that you will need for that peaceful break. A private swimming pool, 2 acres of private meadow, barbecue facilities, sun loungers add to what is essentially the perfect location for tranquility. Noisey this place is not, and if you want peace and quiet, lovely country walk sand real fresh country air then this is for you. With the peace of the country and the amenities of a large town only 6 miles away, this offers everything you will need.

Notes on accommodation: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the house. If this rule is broken the security deposit will be withheld. Entry from the main entrance is into a large open plan room with sitting room, traditional Perigordian kitchen and dining area with enclosed log burning fire. There is a separate cloakroom with toilet to the rear. The main living room leads to a large 2nd reception room with additional sofa and dining facilities. Located to the rear of this room is bedroom 1 with double bed and en-suite bath and shower facilities. There is washing machine and tumble dryer in this bathroom. Leading upstairs from the 2nd reception room we reach the 1st floor which has a further 4 spacious bedrooms including 1 double room with en-suite shower, toilet and sink facilities, 1 large twin room with baby cot, 1 triple room with 3 single beds including bunks and 1 further twin room with 2 single beds. The landing has a family bathroom with bath, shower and toilet facilities. Outside: The house has a wonderful location overlooking 3 acres of peaceful rolling countryside The recently relined and beautiful 9 x 4m private pool is 2 metres deep at the deep end and 1 metre at the shallow end, the pool is ideal for relaxing in on hot days or simply playing with the children. The pool is cleaned and maintained on a weekly basis. Ther is a large paved area adjacent to the pool and this can be used for simply relaxing in the sun or for enjoying that long lazy lunch. There is also a second paved area near to the main entrance to house which has outdoor barbeque facilities and seating and tables to faciliate family meals outdoors. Behind the pool house at the end of the swimming pool there is an enclosed paved area - perfect for drying wet clothes or simply for the children to safely play in. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Fresh bed linen is provided at the start of your stay and the no of beds required will have fresh bed linen available for your use. The house will be clean on your arrival. Unfortunately due to numerous previous thefts we are unable to supply bath towels. Other: Regretfully we do not allow any pets due to a previous bad experience. Apologies to all good pet lovers.........

The house is ideally situated within 30 minutes driving of 2 leisure lakes. Both offer a sandy beach, a variety of water sports and other organised activities such as paint balling and high tree adventures. In addition to this Rouffic offers one of the few tele-skis (water skiing) facilities in the area. Great fun all round for the family. Bussire galant has a velo rail.

Both locations are a great day our for the family.


Easy access by road and less than 1 hour from Limoges

Limoges airport is approximately 45 minutes (30 miles) from the property. If flying it would be recommended to hire a car from the airport.


Our property is situated on the edge of the beautiful Perigord-Limousin National Park. With stunning countryside and many great attractions this area also offers numerous facilities to canoe on the various rivers in the region. Local attractions include the beautiful town at Brancome and equestrianism at Pompadour. Jumlihac Le Grand 2 miles. St Yriex La Perche 6 miles. Limoges 45 mins - 1 hour. Periguex is 1 hour. Riberac 50 minutes. Calais 6 hours by car.

Our nearest village is the beautiful Jumilhac Le Grand, dominated by the fairytale chateau with the rooftops described as the most romantic in all of France. The village is well catered for having a busy market square surrounded by a selection of local shops including a patisserie, small supermarket, petrol station, bar and restaurant and its own Tourist Information Centre. The village has its own bussling market on a Sunday morning where it is possible to purchase and enjoy many of the local grown produce. St Yriex La Perche, the nearest large town only 15 minutes away, has everything that you would need including- large supermarkets, choice of restaurants and bars. There is also a well equipped leisure centre with water slides, swimming pools, tennis facilities and its own cinema.

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
