About the Owner

Paul and I live on the edge of the New Forest in the South of England. We run our own business as well as help with school age grandchildren. Whenever we can find the time we love to be on the golf course which is why we chose this apartment. We purchased it in May 2008 and since then we have received only favourable comments from our guests. It is furnished in 'Mediterranean' style but with the warmth of colour for those requiring a winter holiday when the days are still warm and usually dry but the nights do get a bit cooler.

The apartment was very nice and the fixtures and fittings are of a great standard. The Kitchen was well equipped, the location is good and the apartment is in a quiet area of the resort and quite private. The grounds and pool areas were very good and clean. You are lucky to posses such a nice place and I hope you get many guests. We'd certainly return to your apartment again. P.Heppenstall.

We arrived out of hours on a Monday evening and although the Careways management office was closed the instructions Sheila and Paul provided to gain access to the apartment were easy to follow. We were very impressed with pretty much everything in the apartment, my wife's description was 'its beautiful'. All previous reviews are spot on.

We pre hired a car to pickup in Lagos for the duration of the holiday and I would advise car hire as a essential as the Golf resort is on the outskirts of town, please don't let this put you off as taxis are reasonable. Saloons are approx 7 Euros and 5-8 seaters are a little dearer approx 10-12 euros and take a little longer to come. We ventured into Lagos most nights for evening meals and to sample to town centre's atmosphere. You will be spoilt for choice restaurant wise, we used trip advisor and didn't go far wrong.

Activity wise we tried the Algarve Adventure Park, Slide and Splash and the dolphin trip with Days of Adventure. I can recommend all these attractions, our teenagers loved them. The dolphin trip was our favourite.

All in all a great holiday, days of relaxation on a beautiful resort combined with days of action and a beautiful base location to come back to...almost forgot to mention the Pool area is close by and immaculately maintained (common theme with the apartment / resort).

We have just returned from another most enjoyable holiday in Portugal.

For two weeks we enjoyed the comfort and the luxury of no. 71A atlantic drive.

As a regular visitor to the Boavista Resort for the past 8/10 years i can honestly

say our accommodation this time was as good if not better than anything we previously enjoyed in what is a high class resort generally.Sheila has left no stone unturned in order to ensure that her guests enjoy maximum enjoyment.

The apartment is very well equipped,spotlessly clean and yet very comfortable.

Sunshine in the morning on the front balcony is the ideal start and as the day moves on so does the sun , to the back terrace ,where you can combine shade and privacy with the afternoon sun.An extra advantage, not as available on a number of other properties in and around Lakeview Village is the shelter from the north east breeze in the evening.All in all the perfect home from home.

Portuguese Paradise

This is an absolutely stunning apartment and location. The furnishings and decor are immaculate and the layout is ideal, with a balcony at the front and the garden to the rear alongside the third fairway.

With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one en suite, this is an ideal place for a great family or shared holiday.

I thoroughly recommend this property.

First class accommodation, beautifully furnished. Balcony to enjoy our breakfast, added bonus outside garden space to relax. Ideally situated to visit some lovel beaches, and only a few minutes from Lagos. A haven for golfers, excellent clubhouse restuarant and onsite amenities i.e. Pools and Spa, enjoyed our stay thanks to Paul & Sheila x

The return!

This was our 2nd year at the apartment, simply because we loved it the first time round! The resort (Boavista) is great - very friendly and an excellent location for Lagos, beaches, amenities, restaurants etc. The apartment is perfectly located on the resort - near the pool, but not too close! It is very spacious, every room is 'big' - perfectly equipped and the back garden is the selling point - its great for some safe space. It also makes a big difference being able to put the car in a garage!

We will definitely return again in the future.

The position is very convenient for the pool, a nearby supermarket and all the facilities the club house and spa have to offer. The nearby beaches of Lagos (Meia Praia) and Praia da Luz offer beautiful sand and lovely promenade walks. Alvor for sardines takes a lot of beating.

Flights to Faro take just over 2 hours from the South of England, but are available from many UK airports. The journey time to Boavista Golf Resort is approximately 45/60 minutes via a motorway. To fully enjoy the beauty of the Algarve, we recommend that you hire a car.

Distances:

Lagos, and Praia Da Luz are approx 5 mins drive.

Nearest supermarket is approximately 2 mins drive.

New Shopping Centre in Portimao approximately 15 minutes drive.

Algarve Shopping Centre, Water Parks and Zoomarine are approx 30 minutes drive.

From the Owner

Because of the lie of the land, we have the benefit of being first floor at the front for privacy on the Balcony and ground floor at the rear with a lawned garden which gives more room than the average terrace for sun loungers, BBQ etc. It's also nice for children to play on grass rather than be restricted to a hard surface. Very few properties have this feature. Views from the Lounge are enhanced because of an additional window on the side of the property. To date only 2 properties have this extra feature.
