1. "THE GRAND" AND 2. "HIDEAWAY"

1. "THE GRAND' is a huge 5 bedroom maisonette which comprises the top part of this character house.and sleeps 12 guests (or up to 14 with prior approval). It has its own separate external front door.

2. "HIDEAWAY" is a large 3 bedroomed ground floor apartment which sleeps up to 8 guests and has its own separate external front door. There is a secluded Japanese styled garden at the rear of the house which is perfect for alfresco dining or BBQ.

THE FOLLOWING SUMMARY RELATES TO BOTH THE MAISONETTE AND THE APARTMENT:

Both are very well maintained, comfortable and decorated to a high contemporary standard. Equipment provided is comprehensive and includes, free WIFI, American Style fridge/freezers,microwaves,washing machines, dishwashers large flat screen televisions, with Freeview, DVD players.

The property is perfectly situated a couple of minutes walk to the beautiful clean blue flag status sandy beaches which stretch for 9 miles. Southbourne high street, with its comprehensive selection of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, cafes, takeaways, is a few minutes walk from the property.

Activities such as surfing, wind surfing, kite surfing, canoeing, sailing, fishing, paint ball, bowling, horse riding, gliding are available locally. Easy access to the New Forest, Isle of Wight, Poole. Sandbanks, Weymouth, Salisbury, Christchurch. Romsey, Corfe Castle, Brownsea Island and Jurassic Coast, to name but a few. I love the property as it is has so much character with large, comfortable, rooms, set in a beautiful tree lined avenue, with 9 miles of beautiful, uninterrupted clean sandy beaches at the end of the road. I love Bournemouth's micro climate - the weather tends to be warmer than the rest of England - and its access to so many lovely and historic places.

highly recommend staying at the grand!

We stayed at The Grand for a pre Christmas family get together in December. We had a really lovely time.

The house was big and spacious with lovely decor and furnishings.

The kitchen was well stocked with every modern convenience, The beds were super comfortable.

The Grand is only a few minutes walk from the seafront. The high street has a very comprehensive selection of supermarkets, cafe's, restaurants and interesting individual shops. Bournemouth centre is less than 10 minutes drive away.

We would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone who wants a fabulous place to stay.

Very nice house, clean and tidy and quiet.

Stayed at the property for two nights with some friends. The house itself was very spacious and clean. Plenty of bathrooms along with bedrooms. The owner was extremely polite and informative. Would recommend this house to anyone looking to come up to Bournemouth for a few days. Will definitely be staying again!

Amazing house best accommodation we have stayed at

We stayed at the hideaway over the Christmas period and it really was incredible. Such a lovely place to stay for a week. Was a great base for our family holiday. We were able to explore beautiful Bournemouth coast from here.

The welcome pack was so thoughtful and well received after a long journey. The dogs loved the treats too.

The hideaway had plenty of room and all the equipment we could possibly need to stay comfortably which meant we could cook and clean with out any hassle. Beautifully decorated throughout with a modern stylish feel. Felt like a luxury home away from home. Also had a fab little garden.

We have already made enquiries to return for our summer holiday.

Beautiful property in prime location - near beach

We were highly impressed with The Grand. The property was spotlessly clean and homely with lovely decor and furnishings and comfortable beds.

The kitchen had all modern conveniences and plenty of crockery; glasses and cooking equipment. The Grand is in a prime location just a few minutes walk from lovely sandy beaches and the high street with supermarkets; cafe's; restaurants and pubs. This property is a real gem of a find and we are hoping to come again in the future.

Fabulous holiday let

Impressive, amazing property lovely owner!

The owner, Suzie, was on hand to welcome us and show us around the property. It was like checking into a luxury hotel! She had thought of everything we might need on arrival including tea – yes!

We travelled as an extended family (six adults and 5 children) and we all had quite a long journey getting there. It was lovely to be able to just chill out and relax whilst knowing that quite nearby were three large supermarkets (Tesco, Co-op and Sainsburys – take your choice) so that we could stock up on everything we needed a bit later, as well as so many restaurants it was difficult to make a choice. Thoughtfully, Suzie had supplied all those small things you don’t want to have to buy for a week’s stay, like salt & pepper, washing up materials and hand soap for example – I hate going to places where they can’t even be bothered to put a toilet roll in each WC for when you arrive (yes, Suzie had provided that as well!).

The property was incredibly clean. The finish of the property is lovely and the rooms were very spacious – 3 of the bedrooms were simply huge. We loved the bathrooms and the lounge was fantastic... Massive modern TVs!

We were out for much of the time but when we were there the kids loved it and we knew they were safe and had plenty of space, There was off road parking too!

We ate out quite a bit and there is a huge choice locally – even a Vietnamese restaurant! But when we ate in the house the kitchen was a joy to use as it is so big and several people can be using it at the same time without getting in each others way.

We loved our visit to Bournemouth – the beaches are great and Bournemouth really does have a large selection of good shops.

It was helpful that Suzie provided maps of the area as well as details of some of the local attractions. It meant that our week was full of good places to go to.

All in all, our view is that the property is brilliant and full of nice touches. We would absolutely recommend it. We will be back!

Coast/Beach:

There are 7 miles of magnificent sandy beaches around Southbourne and Bournemouth area which have been awarded the blue flag of excellence for their superb cleanliness. From the property it is a 2 minute walk to the cliffs and beach. Cafe Riva on the clifftop has a great view 'Bistro on the Beach' a 15 min stroll along the beach. Go surfing at Europe's first £2 million surf reef which is only 10 min walk from property. There's a chain ferry from Sandbanks (20 mins drive) to Shell Bay.

Travel:

Bournemouth Int. airport 20 mins drive. Bournemouth Train Station 10 mins drive. Poole Ferryport 30 min drive from property. Portsmouth Ferryport 2 hours drive from property (these times are approximate). A car would be useful with so many amazing places to visit in the area, but not essential as the beach, shops, restaurants, pubs, bars, takeaways are within walking distance from the property.

Refundable security deposit of £300 against damage and breakages is required. £30 charged per dog per week.
