About Sharon Mason

I was born in St Ives in Cornwall and love the sea. Therefore it was an obvious choice to buy an apartment which has such stunning views of the coastline.

The apartment was purchased off plan and after many trips back and forth to Spain to visit the site and meetings with the builders the apartment was eventually ready.

Originally when purchasing the apartment it was for personal use and I had not thought of letting it as a holiday home. Having said that I am now genuinely able to say to all our guests that I love the area and the apartment is somewhere that I can thoroughly recommend as a place to stay. Especially as I personally really enjoy being there.

I also tend to be extremely honest and say that due to the location of the apartment and the steps in my opinion this apartment is not suitable for very small children or those with mobility problems. However, please view our web site or view the detail on Owners Direct of our other apartment in Denia (Reference No S11320) which would be more suitable having lift access. However, everything is literally on the doorstep and would actually be within walkable distance if you were an athlete (due to the beautiful mountain setting) therefore a car is necessary.

Why Sharon Mason chose Benitachell

The property is air conditioned and south facing with beautiful views of the coastline and a large patio to relax. The pool is an award winning infinity pool and designed to give the impression of swimming out to sea. It really is stunning and as I write this I can see myself on the terrace with a book and a glass of wine in hand!

Both Alicante and Valencia Airports are approximately equal distance from this apartment and budget fares are often available.

The small private beach (literally 2 minutes in the car ) in summer months provides a beach bar serving snacks and on the mountain amenities such as a restaurant/bar, supermarket are all available. For the more adventurous horseriding. Moraira, Javea and Denia are all a short drive away and well worth visiting. Regular markets are held and Denia has an evening market selling everything from jewellery to leather handbags.

For our guests that want to travel further afield then the port at Denia provides a daily ferry over to Ibiza or alternatively coastline boat trips. Travelling by both train and bus is within easy distance.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment has some of the best views of the stunning coastline and on a clear day Ibiza can be seen. Whilst this is a mountain setting everything is literally within a two minute driving distance including supermarket, restaurant, bar, beach and all amenities.

The view was breathtaking!

The property owner was difficult to deal with. Her directions to the unit were terrible. If you need a map - I have one now! The unit doesn't show on google maps as its an urbanization development. The apartment view is fantastic, the dishes are the absolute basic! No BBQ, no measuring cups, trays, rusty cutlery and a mix of crappy wine glasses . Most of the dishes were dirty, including a few take away containers full of mould - yuck!!, th fridge door is broken and barely stays closed, there is no King bed - it's a double!!! . No instructions for garbage, pool key, wifi, area groceries or anything for welcome packet in the unit. There are approx 200 hundred units that share 6 pools - that each have about 4 lounge chairs. It was busy with lots of kids and people that came n went but kept the chairs with their towels. Speaking of towels the unit has the thinnest and small bathing towels. Would I stay there again - probably - the view was fabulous!

Owner's Response: I always find it strange when feedback is provided on line which is less than favourable but no complaint has been made directly with the owner. Sadly if a tape measure had been used the bed is certainly a king size but once again nothing has been mentioned apart from online If a complaint had been received in respect of cleanliness then cleaners would have been sent in straight away. Having just returned from the apartment it was spotlessly clean and the bed definitely a king size. The crockery/glasses were fine. A small repair - not to the refrigerator, but to the decorative panel casing is being looked into to see whether this can be rectified. This does not interfere with the refrigerator, the refrigerator works perfectly well. However, it is always reassuring to know that a guest would consider returning to an apartment where everything, literally everything, including the bed (the bed having shrunk in size) was apparently wrong and the only thing right was the view! Whilst our response is usually extremely prompt to all of our guests unfortunately due to recent illness and two bereavements in a very short space of time our response has understandably been slower. Most of our guests have been fntastic and extremely understanding. Especially when we have explained and apologised However, sadly there are always exceptions. I will not be commenting anymore on this response to our apartment but direct contact is always welcome

We are able to accept most major credit cards through pay pal. A non returnable 25% deposit is required at time of booking balance due 10 weeks before arrival date. A £150 Refundable breakages/damages deposit, returned within 14 days providing, the keys have been returned and no damage/losses have occurred. Welcome packs can be organised for a small additional charge.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are flexible in order that our guests can take advantage of the lower cost flights. The apartment is accessible from either Alicante or Valencia Airport.

Notes on prices:
We are able to accept most major credit cards. October 2015 until June 2016 book up to ten nights for £299 per apartment. During the same period stay for four weeks for £699. The same terms apply from September 2016 through to June 2017. Quoted prices are for the apartment per week. Discounts are available for long term winter lets -
