Apartment in Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort, Murcia, Costa Calida - Overlooking Lake and Pool on Jack Nicklaus Golf Course

Year round sunshine, beautiful beaches and stunning golf course. This frontline apartment is perfect to enjoy all three. This is our luxury 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom first floor apartment on this newly completed Polaris resort, next door to 2 shared pools and situated only a few minutes walk to the town centre supermarket, pro-shop, restaurant and bar and stunning views of the golf course, the Mar Menor and La Manga. There are children's play areas dotted around the resort. This new resort is close to the town of Sucina which has a direct road from the main motorway near the coast. Murcia is a fascinating region, historic Cartegena to the south and Murcia city only 25 minutes to the north, or take the scenic mountain road for stunning views. Or how about a glass bottomed boat trip from La Manga into the Mar Menor and out into the Mediterranean? Beaches on the Mar Menor offer warmer temperatures due to the shallowness of the water. Free WiFi internet.

Our apartment features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a sofa-bed to comfortably accommodate 6 guests.

The apartment was excellent, loved the views from the large balcony and very easy to find due to your directions, when the new road is finished I think we could get our time to the beach under ten minutes! (Comment from owner: Motorway is now open and new link road to local town).

Absolutely Fabulous

I contacted the owner on the Thursday evening before leaving, with my enquiry about renting his apartment. He had only just return from Spain that very night and responded to me straight away.

On the Friday he (Tim), pulled all the stops out, to have the apartment made ready for our arrival on Sunday morning and boy was it spectacular.

When we got into the apartment it was sparkly clean. The pics that are displayed by the owners are completely accurate. The apartment is fresh and homely. Tim (the owner) has thought of everything. There are lounge chairs, beach towels, inflatables and even DVD's for the kids and adults to use.

The resort and pools are well maintained and there always seems to be someone busy working, cutting grass, cleaning pools etc. On the resort there is a Spar shop within walking distance of the apartment, which is well stocked and has daily fresh hot bread in the mornings.

There is an a la carte restaurant called El Carson and a more relaxed side serving pizza, pasta and burgers, as well as paella and Spanish cuisine and the there is also a very snazzy bar onsite.

At the end of the day, after going to water-parks, beaches, quad biking, boat rides, etc; it was always nice to return to the apartment, flick open the privately secured, remote control garage and either watch the UK TV channels or have a relaxing swim to wear the kids out even more.

Over all my stay at the Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort, was absolutely fabulous darlings.... ;-)!!

The Place apartment

The apartment is clean, well appointed and situated in a very convenient position close the Club House and shop. Lovely views from the balcony of the communal pool and golf course. I would not hesitate to recommend this location to friends and family for a holiday which caters for the whole family.

great apartment

the apartment is in a great location on the resort just a 5 min walk to the shop,clubhouse and restaurant.the apartment overlooks the 4th and 5th holes which is great to watch while eating breakfast on the balcony.The resort in my opinion is the best of polaris world resorts The apartment was clean tidy and had set of clubs PERFECT.

A nice and well functioning apartment, underlining the well equipped kitchen.

Had some problems with the radiator that made a terrible rattling noise, mostly when the hot water faucets were opened, and also frequently during the night for some unknown reason. The owner send his key holders to fix the problem, bleeding the radiators. This, however only helped for a couple of days, then we were back to the same problem, which persisted during our stay.

The carbon monoxide alarm gave intermittent beeps, forcing us to remove the battery. We suspect the battery must be running low?

One thing that surprised us, was there was no dining table inside, only on the terrace, and the weather was definitely not for outdoor eating. As we were only two of us, the small cafe table were brought inside together with two chairs from the terrace, otherwise we would have to sit like the Japanese on the floor with the coffee table.

We appreciated very much having received a very thorough and comprehensive manual, explaining all the practicalities around the apartment. Very helpful indeed.

The key box outside the apartment door was stuck and did not open with the indicated code. The key holder knew the trick, a hard punch on the panel, but future tenants could have a problem, if they depend on the opening of this box to get hold of the apartment key.

The CO alarm was looked at by our keyholders during your stay after you emailed me about it, I am pleased to say this has now been replaced with a new one. Travel:

Closest airport is Murcia (San Javier) only 15 minutes away.

Alicante is 1 hour away on excellent major roads.

Both airports have flights from most budget airlines including Ryanair, EasyJet, Monarch, Jet2, ThomsonFly.

Distances:

Murcia is a fascinating region, historic Cartegena (29 miles) to the south and Murcia city (20 miles) only 25 minutes to the north, or take the scenic mountain road for stunning views.

Sucina is only 2 miles away for a good choice of bars, restaurants and shops.

Further Details:

This new resort is close to the town of Sucina which has a direct road from the main motorway near the coast. Now open is a supermarket on site only a 5 minute walk from the apartment. For a wider choice there is a hypermarket close to San Pedro which is 15 minutes by car. Also open is the Woodhouse bar for a relaxing drink next to the golf course. 2011 - new restaurant now open. You can take a free shuttle bus to the other older Polaris resorts to enjoy these facilities. There are many local markets on most days of the week in nearby towns. Further afield are the Water Park and Nature Park near Murcia.

Cleaning costs not included - €65 to be left in the apartment before you leave, also covers laundry. A 25% deposit is required at time of booking confirmation.
