The property comprises of two unique holiday homes. The main villa sleeps 6 and the Casita (small house) a converted bodega that sleeps 4. Both set within palm fringed gardens with swimming pool situated beside the beautiful Arcos Lake, which regularly has championship fishing (they really are that big!) The nearby water sports centre on the lake provides sailing, windsurfing, kayaking etc. There is also an excellent gymnasium there. The newly-opened, world-class Arcos Gardens golf course, less than 5 minutes away is set in the nearby hills overlooking Arcos. This location enjoys easy access to the motorways is central to travelling all directions for further exploration of the wonderful Andulusian Countryside and historic towns and cities. The world famous Jerez Grand Prix racing circuit is only 15 mins away.

Saturday is the normal changeover day, though this is flexible out of the high season dates. arrival time generally 4pm and departure 11am, but will try to accommodate any variations as requested.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the casita! Very comfortable and quiet with a lovely pool to go swimming! Arcos is a beauitful place to see with lots of quirky shops and bars up in the old time with fantastic views! Near the villa is a lake where you can go fishing or even a swim if your feeling brave! There is also access to bikes so you can even go for a lovely cycle around the lake which i thoroughly enjoyed doing watching the sunset! There is a hotel nearby (Molinera) just five minutes round the corner where you can go for a lovely meal by the lake or even to go for a drink! I went a few times and the meals are very good value and very filling! Food to suit the whole family! If your looking for a relaxing holiday this is definately the place for you!
A great base to explore Andalusia
The bodega is clean and comfortable and ideal for 2 people, with an attractive, well-planted private garden (with pomegranates!) and a swimming pool (most welcome in the heat). It has plenty of space for sunbathing or reading in the shade. With it being a private garden, it doesn't have spectacular views of Arcos but five minutes walk down the road will find you at the lakeside edge where you can have a good meal or drink at the Hotel Meson de la Molinera. Arcos de la Frontera is a short drive away and is a charning town and well worth a visit. You're in easy driving distance to Jerez, Seville, Cadiz etc. The drive to Ronda through the mountains is stunning.
The owners Philip and Carole were there for part of our stay and were considerate and generous hosts, taking us to nearby Arcos old town for a local fiesta and cooking us a delicious meal on our last night.

We put down a large deposit for this property in Feb 2016 for our holiday in Sept and the booking was confirmed. I emailed the owner in March enquiring about a travel cot for our baby which he ignored. In July, we realised he still hadn't responded to our email and he also hadn't given us the address for the property so I emailed him, which he ignored. The day after I was starting to get really worried as we hadn't heard from him so I looked through the email trails and realised there was a very small balance outstanding so emailed him again asking to confirm everything was ok and that I would make the payment immediately. He replied advising me that he rented the property out to someone else as we didn't pay the final balance a few weeks prior. He did not contact us at all requesting the final balance nor did he warn us that he would rent the property to someone else if he didn't receive payment. He took 3 days to return our deposit after promising it would be done immediately and after me chasing him twice. I am on maternity leave (with no income) looking after my baby and this left us with less than 4 weeks to find somewhere else which I couldn't do until we received this money back. He did not offer me an apology at all and I think overall the way he treated us was immoral and appauling. Yes we should have paid the final balance 8 weeks prior to our holiday but having booked the holiday 6 months in advance we completely forgot and just assumed (like every other holiday we have had) that we would get a reminder. Clearly a large deposit (with only a very small amount outstanding) and booking confirmation is not a guarantee for this property.

Activity and Interests
The Costa de la Luz is only 45 mins away. With wide white sand beaches, backed in the most part by countryside and accessible via small country lanes are undoubtedly one of Spain's best kept secrets. Explore Cadiz, Sanlucar, Vejer and on to Tariffa and the straights of Gibralta.
Jerez airport is 30 mins drive, Flights from the UK are currently twice daily from Stansted and 4 times per week from Manchester. Other nearby airports are at Seville and Gibraltar, both about 75 mins away. Malaga airport is 2hrs drive.
Jerez (the nearest large town) is 20 minutes - famous for its Sherry (bodega) tours, White Horses and flamenco. Cadiz and the Costa de la Luz are 40 minutes with the unspoilt Sanlucar Beach and nearby Donana Nature reserve. Seville is 1 hour away. Ronda 1.5 hours with it's famous gorge. Grazalema is also 1 hour away for excellent walking and riding.
The fishing in the lake is Spanish championship standard.
The nearby Nautical Club provides for sailing, wind-surfing, kayaking etc. There is also local horse riding facilities at Algar

- Notes on accommodation: There is a patio for outside relaxation / dining overlooking the main garden. There is direct access to the open centrally located pool area. Outside: There is an unheated swimming pool approx 8x6m in the garden. This is unfenced and care should be taken with very small children. There are various sun lounger locations, along with alfresco BBQs and outside dining facilities throughout. There is even an old bread oven if you feel challenged or just want to cook your own pizzas from scratch. The laundry room is located in the garden.
