This is one of 4 exclusive, luxury 2 bedroom apartments on Hamilton Estate. Set in beautiful tropical gardens it boasts a large 28ft pool, sundeck, and large canopied shade area. Plenty of loungers so no need to put your towel out. The master bedroom is en-suite and the second bedroom has an adjacent family bathroom. Spacious accommodation with a 25ft veranda stretching across the front elevation with steps leading directly to the poolside (there is a gate for child safety) Veranda includes seating, dining table and chairs and gas BBQ for al fresco dining and drinks. Jolly Harbour Marina and Resort is approx 7/8 minutes walk across the coast road with the largest and finest Marina in the Caribbean. Also in Jolly Harbour there are souvenir shops, restaurants, bars and a large supermarket. Car hire is recommended. Sugar Ridge development adjacent offers holiday memberships to their health club at reasonable rates. Hamilton House is a small and exclusive development, allowing guests privacy to relax in the landscaped gardens or laze around the pool, yet near enough to enjoy the local beaches and attractions.

We bought our place in Antigua following a caribbean cruise when we fell in love with the country and the friendly people. It is steeped in English history dating back to Nelson, must see Nelsons Dockyard. Jolly Harbour is the premier region of Antigua famous for its beautiful white sandy beaches of which there are many in the immediate area. It is situated on the South West of the island on the caribbean sea, white sandy beaches and beautiful turquoise seas.

Driving is easy on the island should you decide to hire a car as they drive on the same side of the road as England and as the island is only 14 miles x 11 miles if you get lost it doesn't matter because you will eventually reach your detsination. Once there you will love it as much as we do. A relaxing, chill out style holiday awaits you.

What makes this apartment unique

Our apartment is on an exclusive development, 4 apartments and 3 villas, literally across the road from Jolly Harbour. The four apartments share a large 28 x 15ft pool with an extensive sundeck for the sun lovers and a canopied shaded area for those who prefer shade. It is set in half an acre of landscaped gardens.

Fully furnished to a very high standard the apartment includes just about everything you have back home. Towels (inc beach), linen, cutlery, pots and pans. We also have a weekly maid service, full air conditioning in in all living areas and kitchen in addition to ceiling fans. The apartment has free access to 4G Wi-Fi (Digicel) so that you can keep in touch with family or business back home and just because we like to look after our guests we also pick you up and drop you off at the aiport. So sit back, relax and enjoy. Ahh - paradise.

Loved this place, lovely walk to local beaches/Jolly Harbor. Bus stop at end of drive. Decor charming,plenty of space. Never used A/C,open windows for heavenly Carribbean breezes. Best side of island by far. We look forward to returning,won’t stay anywhere else on Antigua. Pool, bbq and verandah were perfect, everything about the place was perfect. Relaxed and family friendly.

The location is an ideal hide away and close to the beach, restaurants / bars, boat tours, grocery and souvenir shops.The fenced yard is well-groomed and provided a contained play area for the kids. Also being mindful of the pool that is on the property. What stands out are: pick-up/drop off transportation from the airport, given use of a cell phone, beach chairs and a well equipped kitchen. Not having a house keeper at anytime during our stay was less favorable. Fun times included the lobster lunch boat ride by Creole Cruises and Castaways restaurant. I encourage getting a car rental to get to more places and sceneries because public transportation is limited and not desirable. I would stay here again.

We have no plans to include house cleaning for stays of 7 nights or less as we have enough towels and linen in the apartment for changes. We do also provide a washing machine for your use during the stay. So pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and hopefully we will see you again in the future.

Well equipped apartment

We had a fantastic time in Antigua. We went for a friend's wedding which was held at the sugar ridge resort adjacent to Hamilton House. The apartment was great for us, a family of 5 with children ranging between 13 and 6. There is everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The agent, Yasmin and the maintenance man, Don, were very helpful and ready to deal with any problems. Location is fairly good. Opposite are a couple of restaurants that do pizza and fish and chips and down the road is a restaurant called Miracles which I highly recommend (best curry goat I've ever had!). The beach and supermarket are about a 15 minute walk away. The main road can feel a little dangerous at times because there is no pavement and some drivers speed past! I felt more conscious of this because of the children, so sometimes we would jump on the bus which was very reasonably priced. The grounds are well looked after. Pool was cleaned once a week whilst we were there and the gardener came once a weeks also. We had the whole complex to ourselves for the first week,which was nice, then one of the other apartments was occupied. We got on well with the other guests and sharing the pool with them at times was not a problem. However if all the apartments are occupied, I think the pool area would be a bit crowded. This wasn't at all a problem for us as we are beach people. Overall Antigua is an amazingly stunning island with so much to see and do and the people are very friendly. Hamilton house proved to be ideal for us and we recommend it.

We have found, like you, that people tend to dip in and out of the pool at various times as most people are out and about during the day, usually at the beach. There are sufficient loungers for all occupants as we have some in storage that are brought out when all the apartments are occupied. Antigua is a beautiful island and you are correct they are really friendly. Thank you again and hope you will remember us if you return to Antigua.

Fantastic Apartment

We had a wonderful stay in Hamilton House. We are a family of 5 with three children aged 13, 10 and 3. The apartment was fantastic, nicely furnished, clean with plenty of space for us. It had direct access from the veranda to the pool that is shared with the other 3 apartments in the block. In our opinion, this apartment had the best location of the four in the block. Also, Yasmin and Dan the local staff were a great help when we were there. We would certainly recommend the apartment to our friends and family. It was 11 years since our last time in Antigua and we had forgotten just how beautiful the Antiguan beaches were. We especially loved the local Valley Church beach, only a short 10 minute walk - one of the best.

Brilliant again

We had a great week here for Easter 2014 . This is our return visit to the same apartment, which is fab and would recommend this to others. Management company great. Jasmine on call and Don helpful to provide us with local info and fish / fruit. Our son has special needs and staff were very understanding if this. We had a great time. We went on the zip wires (with Connie), half moon bay and Barbuda for a day, which was great. The place is fab and this will not be our last visit here.

We spent two weeks at this villa. It was really good. It was very clean, well equipped and in a quiet location. Most of the time we had the pool to ourselves and it was quiet. It is safe and set back from the road for small children and the grounds are very well tended. Across the road was a great pizza place and an old red bus which was a fish and chip restaurant. They were very flexible and even allowed us to order pizza for me and my husband and fish and chips for our son. The supermarket is very close and handy and the local beach bar was great. We travelled around did the zip wires, half moon bay, long bay, a trip on the reef, which can be organised from Jolleys beach next to the beach bar and we also went to Montserrat, which was amazing. The caretakers for the villa also were really helpful. Don got us some great fresh fish and mangoes. He was a great guy. Jasmine was always available. Be prepared for the poorly tended roads on the island, but you do get used to them quite quickly. We had a great time. Thank you Doreen and Neil. We would love to stay again in the future. Notes on accommodation: Full air-conditioned in addition to ceiling fans in the living area and both bedrooms. This large apartment benefits from easy access to all public transport routes. There is a bus stop directly outside the site into the capital St Johns and from there to most parts of the island. Internet connection is usually very reliable however it is subject to availability from the service provider, beyond the control of the owners. Suitable for children, and people with limited mobility. Sorry, no smoking in the apartment but there is plenty of room outside in the half acre gardens. No pets please. A child's cot and high chair are available on request. Outside: The extensive landscaped gardens feature a 28 x 15 ft swimming pool and sundecks with loungers and canopied shade area. The pool is exclusive to the 4 apartments. At the rear of the apartment block there is a washing line for you to dry your personal laundry (pegs provided). On the veranda there is an airer for drying your more personal items There is ample parking for you on site if you hire a car. The grounds are lit at night with security lighting. The pool is also lit at night for your safety. Access the poolside for our guests is direct from our veranda. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Maid service provided once a week to clean/change the bedding. Hand, bath and beach towels are all provided in the apartment. There is a washing machine in the apartment and a clothes line for you to dry your washing. No need to bring your whole wardrobe. Other: Throughout the apartment the walls are decorated with original Caribbean art work. This luxury apartment is furnished to a very high standard and has all the facilities you would expect at home. A local payasyougo mobile phone is available for your use.
